Last few thank yous

I managed to do a few more thank you cards today so I think I finally have enough for giving out to people for my Christmas presents. I did do some for the children in my class who gave me pressies too but they were very basic simple ones, so I haven't taken a photo of those ones.

My first card is for SC311 and In Love With Stampin's December colour challenge to use Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive.

Recipe:

Stamps: Just Believe from SU

Papers: Old Olive, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Dashing DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: SU markers in Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive

Accessories: Real Red Taffeta ribbon, Victorian Fleur Embossing Folder from Papermania

My next thank you is for Mojo #171 and Free For All #41 to be inspired by The Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky. I absolutely love the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from this classical composition, although I have yet to see the ballet version!

Recipe:

Stamps: Fairy Chloe from The Greeting Farm, Signature Christmas from PTI

Papers: Pale Plum (retired) from SU, Copics White, Silver paper found in my Christmas stash box, DSP from Papermania

Inks: Pale Plum (retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Diamond Stickles, Ribbon from stash

My next 3 cards are all PTI ones. I am finding that I'm turning to PTI stamps more and more now and it's no wonder really as they are just fab! This one is for SC313 and for Anya's Papertrey Princess challenge to be inspired by the photo on her blog. I took the colours green, turquoise and kraft from it and created this one.

Recipe:

Stamps: Spiral Bouquet, Guide Lines II both from PTI

Papers: Kraft, Hawaiian Shores, Stampers Select White, New Leaf DSP from 2009 Bitty Dot Basics all from PTI

Inks: New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores both from PTI, Crumb Cake from SU

Accessories: White rickrack from American Crafts, Pearls from eBay

My next one is for In Love With Stamping's Single Layer card challenge for December as well as Anya's papertrey Princess 1 layer card challenge and for A Passion For Papertrey's Background Basics challenge (although I could enter all 3 of my PTI cards for this challenge). I really find single layer cards hard as I always want to add more but I do quite like this one and it was dead quick to make as well. I used the Mat Stack #4 die to create a mask as well as a reverse mask so I knew where to put the sentiment. It did look a bit plain afterwards mind you, which I why I went round the mask in Basic Gray marker to emphasise it a bit more!

Recipe:

Stamps: Big & Bold Wishes, Damask Designs from PTI

Papers: Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding both from PTI, Basic Gray ink & marker from SU

Accessories: Mat Stack #4 die, Plum Pudding ribbon, Lavender Moon Buttons all from PTI

And my final card for today is an unusual one for me I think. I wasn't overly keen on the sketch to start with (which is from In Love With Stamping's December challenges), but I think it's bright and happy enough to give out. This one is also for Papertake Weekly's Be Thankful challenge (although all of these cards are for this challenge really) and for CC50 to use Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise and Apricot Appeal.

Recipe:

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics II from PTI, Curly Cute from SU

Papers: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal (both retired), Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal (both retired), Tempting Turquoise all from SU

Accessories: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon (retired), 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch all from SU

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

A few thank you cards

I always make and give thank you cards for any gifts received - just the good manners I was installed with I guess and today I took a break from my new toy, my fantastic Kindle that the lovely Santa bought me for Christmas this year to make a few thank you cards (I have already downloaded about £100 worth of books to it as well as umpteen freebies as well so should keep me going for a little while!).

This first one is for Paper Pal Arts #74 for the sketch, Stacey's Curtain Call #62 to use Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze and White and for Leah's Papertrey Princess Challenge to use polka dots and flowers. And continuing with my goal to use up some of my DSP horde, sorry collection, I dug out some untouched Kioshi paper from Basic Gray that was almost a perfect colour match for this challenge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mat Stack 1 Collection, Beautiful Blooms both from PTI

Papers: Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz all from SU, Stamper's Select White from PTI, Kioshi DSP from Basic Gray

Inks: Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz both from SU

Accessories: Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon from SU, Victorian Lace Die, Beautiful Blooms Dies #1, Eyelet Border Die, Mat Stack 1 die all from PTI, Buttons from Elzybells

And my next card is for Diane's Papertrey Princess challenge to be inspired by your wardrobe colours (my wardrobe consists mainly of black and pink, with a bit of purple and the odd thing in a few other colours!). I also did this one for Stampin' Royalty's #51 for the sketch and Our Creative Corner's Fa-la-la Felt challenge. And again I'm using up some of that DSP stash!!!

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Blooms, Mega Mixed Messages both from PTI

Papers: Raspberry Fizz cs and DSP, Stampers Select White both from PTI, Basic Black from SU, Dotty DSP from My Mind's Eye

Inks: Raspberry Fizz from SU, Basic Black from SU

Accessories: Beautiful Blooms Dies #2, Raspberry Fizz Felt both from SU, Polka Dot Ribbon from stash, Button from stash, Embroidery Thread

And my final card for today is for Just Magnolia's sketch #86, Totally Tilda's #12 to make an easel card and for Papertake Weekly's Anything Goes challenge. As I still have my Christmas stash box out I thought I would make a proper Christmas thank you using up some of my mountain of Christmas DSP that I hardly touched this year.

Recipe:

Stamps: Reindeer Tilda from Magnolia, Signature Christmas from PTI

Papers: Ruby Red (retired), Old Olive both from SU, Christmas DSP from Papermania, Gold card in stash box, Copics White cs

Inks: Ruby Red (retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Snowflakes Embossin Folder, Oval Nestabilities, Oval Punches, Scallop Border Punch, Buttons (retired) all from SU, Embroidery thread from stash, Sequin ribbon thing from Christmas stash box (I think this was a magazine freebie from years ago - I doubt I would have bought it!)

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by. I'm sure to be back sometime this week with the rest of my thank you cards as I want to make another 5 or so yet!

Papertrey Ink December Blog Hop

I am actually a day late with this one, but as I've done it I thought I would show it to you anyways. This month Nichole and the rest of the PTI team challenged us to use up some Christmas leftovers on a project. As it happens I didn't have many bits left over as I had tidied everything away already for Christmas, but I did receive this gorgeous box from my Secret Santa, Melanie, over on the In Love With Stamping forum.

And inside was this set of 3 reels of gorgeous ribbon all tied together with a long strip of the new Real Red taffeta ribbon. I didn't think I would like this ribbon as red is not a colour I especially choose to use, but I do like the more subtle shade of it in this ribbon.

Anyway I used some of this ribbon on my project which is also for Mojo #170, CC302 to use Red, Black and White and for Mara's Papertrey Princess challenge to create a card with something in the air on it - I chose butterflies!

Recipe:

Stamps: Signature Series: Butterfly, Polka Dot Basics II both from PTI

Papers: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White all from SU, Red DSP from Pebbles, Dotty DSP from MY Mind's Eye

Inks: Real Red from SU

Accessories: Victorian Lace die, Signature Series: Butterfly Die, other butterfly die all from PTI, Button from Elzybells, Circles Nestabilities, Real Red Taffeta Ribbon and Oval Punches from SU, Polka Dots Embossing Folder

I have made a new goal following on from this card - to try and make a bit of a dent in the huge piles of DSP I have all over the place. I have boxes full of loose sheets and SO many paper packs from various different companies as well as 4 boxes full of just SU stuff! Let's see how much I can actually get through!

Anyway that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

The final Christmas card and pressies

I know this is a bit late seeing as Christmas has been and gone, but in the chaos of the last few days I just haven't had the time to upload these photos to my blog, so here's the last Christmas card I did and 2 presents I did as well. And as per usual I managed to squeeze in a couple of challenges as well!

My card is for SC312, which was a nice and simple sketch - just what I needed as well as I realised on the morning I was heading to the post office to post all my cards (at the last minute as well) that I had 2 missing! So I whipped up 2 of these in a flash!

Recipe:

Stamps: Inside & Out: Holiday from PTI

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Jolly Holiday DSP all from SU

Inks: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler both from SU

Accessories: Scallop Trim Punch, Old Olive Twill (Retired) both from SU, Red gems from stash, Christmas Tree Die from PTI

My next project is a pillow box that I made to put my mother-in-law and my BFF's jewellery gifts in (they got different jewellery each, but had the same box and tag). I thought I would enter this one in for Val's Papertrey Princess 3D Box challenge. As I was very pushed for time this week instead of making a matching gift tag I used some old cream ones that my MIL found a ton of at work, which she very kindly brought to me in case I could find a use for them! (My answer was of course I can!)

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Christmas from PTI

Papers: Bordering Blue (retired) from SU

Inks: Ballet Blue (retired) from SU

Accessories: Pillow Box template, gift tags from stash, silver ribbon from gift wrapping set!

And my final project was another biggie! I made 2 of these calendars, one for my mum and the other for my MIL.  I thought I would enter this one in for Lee's Papertrey Princess Challenge to make a 3D project. (Lots of pictures for this one so be warned!)

I really didn't think about the amount of work involved in making these when I started them and if I could do them again, I definitely would NOT do colouring in on every one as my hand was killing at the end and I ran out of about 4 different copics, so have to get those refilled soon. I used the same stamp set on each page, the gorgeous Delightful Dahlias and coloured each month in a different colour as suitable to that month as I could get! For the front cover I used some Kraft cardstock and added a small Dahlia die in each of the cardstock colours - I was sick of colouring by this point! I do really like them and both my mum and MIL loved them but next year (if I do them again) I will rethink my design!
Front Cover

January & February

March & April

May & June

July & August

September & October

November & December

Recipe:

Stamps: Calendar Basics, Delightful Dahlias both from PTI

Papers: Kraft from PTI, Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Lovely Lilac, Daffodil Delight, Rose Red, Peach Parfait, Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Real Red

Inks: As above plus Chocolate Chip, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Calendars, Delightful Dahlia dies from PTI, Bind It All and wires, Chocolate Chip ribbon from SU

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

A final few PTI Christmas cards

Only 6 more days til Christmas!!! Hope you're all as excited as I am!

I have virtually finished all my Christmas cards now - just one more to make for my MIL to match the pillow box I also need to make for her jewellery and then I think I can finally say I'm done with them all! So on to the cards...

This first one is for CC301 to use Basic Gray, Concord Crush and Marina Mist, old Mojo #83 and for an old Papertrey Princess challenge of Michele's to use an old stamp set with a non-traditional colour combo. I think this qualifies!

Recipe:

Stamps: Stocking Prints, Big & Bold Holiday Wishes, Background Basics: Christmas all from PTI

Papers: Basic Gray, Concord Crush, Marina Mist all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Basic Gray, Concord Crush, Marina Mist all from SU

Accessories: Stocking Die, Large Scallop Border Die both from PTI, Buttons from stash, Diamond Stickles, Silver cord from stash, Snowflakes Embossing Folder

My next card uses Stocking Prints again - I just love this set! This one is for Just Add Ink's #48 for the sketch, A Passion for Papertrey's Perfectly Pretty Pearls challenge (Noticed one of mine has fallen off though now I've uploaded it - have put another back on as it's disappeared, probably under the mountain of wires under the desk!) and for Mariah's Papertrey Princess challenge Make It Pop - to use dimensionals/foam pads somewhere to make something "pop up!"

Recipe:

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Stocking Prints, Inside & Out: Holiday, Background Basics: Christmas all from PTI

Papers: Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist both from SU

Accessories: Stocking Die, Large Scallop Border Die, Blueberry Sky ribbon all from PTI, Pearls from Lakeland

My next Christmas card is for Bethie J's red and white Papertrey Princess challenge, Sweet Stampin's Celebrations challenge and for In Love With Stampin's November sketch challenge!

Recipe:

Stamps: Big & Bold Holiday Wishes, Made of Snow both from PTI

Paper: Real Red, Whisper White both from SU, Acetate sheet from stash

Inks: Real Red from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Diamond Stickles, Circle Nestabilities, Snowflakes rub ons from Christmas stash box!

My final card is a Christmas thank you instead of a Christmas card. I'm trying to plan ahead so I have a few thank you cards ready to give out to people after Christmas as I know once I get my lovely new Kindle from Santa all I'll be doing is reading! This one is for Mojo #169, Stacey's Curtain Call #61 to use Bravo Burgundy, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake and for Our Creative Corner's Embossed with Colour challenge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Signature Christmas from PTI

Papers: Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree DSP all from SU

Inks: Early Espresso from SU

Accessories: Bravo Burgundy ribbon from SU, Dark Chocolate buttons, Signature Series: Flower die both from PTI, Vanilla Cupcake button from Elzybells, Swirls Embossing Folder from Crafts Too

And that's all for today folks. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas with PTI

Just a last couple of things I did this weekend, but these all use PTI stamps!

My card is for Stacey's Curtain Call #60 to use Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Whisper White, Sweet Sunday's sketch #96 and Papertrey Posse's glitter challenge. I used Stickles glitter glue, so I hope that counts!

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Christmas, Made of Snow, Inside & Out: Holiday

Papers: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery all from SU,  Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Real Red Satin Ribbon from SU, Large Scallop Border Die, Chocolate Bakers Twine both from PTI, Button from stash, Diamond Stickles

And my final thing for this weekend was 10 of these calendars, which I am entering in Papertrey Peeps challenge #20 to use one of Papertrey Ink's product lines! I used the Calendar Die from PTI, along with the mini calendars, CD cases and Calendar Basics stamp set to make some Christmas gifts for friends and work colleagues. I have to admit they took forever to make and I would not want to make so many in one sitting again!

This is the front cover... (idea of the squares CASED from Nichole Heady!)

And this is a close up of the first page. Each page uses the same stamp set (it was bad enough sorting out colours which kind of resembled the month, let alone try to find stamp sets as well!). Some pages have the calendar in the top left while some have it in the bottom right. This made it easier to fit all 11 pieces of card in the CD cases. I did 5 calendars using one of the fonts for the months and 5 in the other font! But I think I prefer this one.

And finally this is all the colours together.

Recipe:

Stamps: Calendar Basics, Delightful Dahlias

Papers: Stampers Select White from PTI, Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Peach Parfait, Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Real Red all from SU

Inks: As above plus Chocolate Chip, Whisper White all SU

Accessories: Calendar Die, Mini Calendars, CD Cases all from PTI

And that is all from me this weekend folks! Only 1 week left at work before we break up for the Christmas holidays and I still have my gift boxes, matching cards and 2 tags to make! Nothing like leaving things to the last minute huh?!

Papertrey Princesses Challenge - Banners

It is Melissa's turn to host this fortnight's challenge for the Papertrey Princesses group I joined a couple of weeks ago and this time it is banners! Banners are all the rage at the minute and I love them! I didn't think I would to be honest, but I have seen so many gorgeous cards with them on that I have jumped on the bandwagon too! I don't have Papertrey Ink's Banner Builder set....yet! But it is definitely going on my next order after Christmas is done! Along with the matching set of dies too.

To make the little scalloped trim at the top of each pennant I used the Fillable Frames #6 die - a great way to get those teeny tiny scallops!

Anyhow...here's my attempt at making my own birthday banner card...

Recipe:

Stamps: Four of A Kind from PTI, Just Perfect Alphabet from SU

Papers: Lemon Tart, Stampers Select White, Happy Dots DSP all from PTI, Chocolate Chip from SU

Inks: Chocolate Chip ink and marker from SU

Accessories: Lemon Tart buttons, Chocolate Baker's Twine, Fillable Frames #6 die all from PTI

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Sharing on a Sunday

Thought I'd just share I few cards I made this weekend with you!

This first card is for SC310 which I adapted to fit a square card as my image was going to be too wide for a normal A6 sized card, Just Magnolia #85 to make a Christmas card, Color Throwdown #122 to use Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz and for Stampin' Royalty #49 to also make a winter holidays card. I love this cute little Santa Edwin reading his list to make sure he has all his presents ready to deliver on Christmas Eve!

Recipe:

Stamps: Snow Flurries, Delightful Decorations both from SU, Out On A Limb from PTI, Santa Edwin, Wishful Armmchair both from Magnolia

Papers: Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Ski Slope DSP (retired) all from SU, Copics White

Inks: Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red all from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: 3/4" circle punch, Diamond Stickles, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Riding Hood Red ribbon (retired)

My next card is yet another Christmas one - should be finished with all these soon! This one is for Paper Pal Arts #72 to be inspired by the wintery photos - I took the colours from them mainly, although I do think I should have done more white and less Crumb Cake, but I like this one anyhow. It's also for old Mojo #97 and Free For All #42 to make a Christmas card on the fly, in other words in less than 15 minutes. This one took about 10 tops!

Recipe:

Stamps: Dasher, Season of Joy both from SU

Papers: Crumb Cake, Confetti White, Bella Bleu DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Crumb Cake

Accessories: Kraft (aka Crumb Cake) taffeta ribbon (retired), Circle Nestabilities, Diamond Stickles, Photo Corner Punch, Snowflake Brads from stash, Snowflakes Embossing Folder

My final Christmas card for this post is for CC300 which was to pick an old colour combo so I chose CC31 to use Taken With Teal and Silver, although I did have to use a bit (ok a lot) of white as well, Papertake Weekly to make a Christmas card with no red or green and for Mojo #168.

Recipe:

Stamps: Delightful Decorations, Vintage Labels both from SU, Mega Mixed Messages from PTI

Papers: Taken With Teal (retired), Whisper White both from SU, Silver cs from stash

Inks: Versamark, Taken With Teal both from SU

Accessories: Ornament Punch, Heat n Stick Powder, Silver glitter, Silver cord all from SU, Teal ribbon from Papermania, Silver card candy from Craftworks Cards, Snowflakes Embossing Folder

My final card for this post is for Our Creative Corner's sketch and Just Add Ink's #47 to use Daffodil delight, Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red and Tempting Turquoise, although I did have to add a bit of green in there too.

Recipe:

Stamps: Because I Care from SU, Background Basics: Botanicals from PTI

Papers: Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Tempting Turquoise, Bella Rose DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Basic Gray, Tempting Turquoise, Riding Hood Red marker, Wild Wasabi marker all from SU

Accessories: Circles Nestabilities, Diamond Stickles, Tempting Turquoise button (retired) from SU

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm A Princess!!!

A Papertrey Princess that is! Over on the Papertrey forum I have joined a challenge blog group, called the Papertrey Princesses. Each fortnight one of the Princesses will set a challenge that the rest of us can then make a card or project for! The current challenge was set by Diane, the lovely lady who invited me to join (thank you Diane) and her challenge was called Merry and Bright. Unfortunately I don't have the Merry and Bright PTI stamp set, but I do have Big & Bold Holiday Wishes which includes the perfect sentiment for this challenge!

And here is my offering:

This card is also for A Passion for Papertrey's Christmas challenge, Color Throwdown #121 to use Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip and Marina Mist, Sweet Stampin's Make Your Own Background Paper challenge and Papertake Weekly #51 for the sketch.

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Holiday, Big and Bold Holiday Wishes both from PTI

Papers: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip all from SU

Accessories: Chocolate Chip ribbon from SU (retired), Oval Nestabilities, Baby Blue Stickles, Clear gems from Papermania

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the other Papertrey Princess blogs on my sidebar!

Christmas and some flowers too

Just a few more Christmas cards for you - I so need to count how many I've made recently and see if I have enough to hand out. My mum and mother-in-law always have a few as well, so need to see how many they need before I declare my Christmas card making over and done with (and then my huge Christmas card stash box can go away again, even though I've hardly used anything from it this year!)

First up is my card for Just Magnolia #84 for their anything goes with a bit of sparkle challenge, SC308 and CC12 to use Orchid Opulence and Going Gray, but I haven't got any Going Gray left in decent sized pieces anyway so subbed it with Basic Gray!

Recipe:

Stamps: Jolly Hug Tilda from Magnolia, Inside and Out: Holiday from PTI

Papers: Orchid Opulence, Basic Gray both from SU, Copic White, Other white from stash, DSP from Papermania

Inks: Orchid Opulence from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Diamond Stickles, Ribbon from Hobbycraft, Sequins from Christmas stash, Snowflakes Embossing Folder

My next card is for Just Us Girls #62 for the layout and Our Creative Corner's  Alternate Christmas Color Challenge to make a Christma card using Rose Red, Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Crumb Cake (Kraft) and Very Vanilla! I forgot about using Crumb Cake to be honest and only used it for the base!

Recipe:

Stamps: The Snowflake Spot, Just Perfect Alphabet both from SU, Big & Bold Holiday Wishes, Fancy Flourishes, Calendar Basics all from PTI

Papers: Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake

Inks: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories: Snowflake sequins from Christmas stash, Turquoise Nailheads from Metal Stickers, Fairytale Ribbon form retired SU pack

My last Christmas card in this post is for SC309 and CC299 to use RIver Rock, Real Red and Old Olive. And like so may others, I just had to pull out my old retired Dashing DSP for this colour combo!

Recipe:

Stamps: Season of Joy, Delightful Decorations both from SU

Papers: River Rock, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Dashing DSP (retired)

Inks: River Rock, Real Red, Old Olive, Gold Star Gelly Roll pen

Accessories: Ribbon from Theater retired pack from SU, Ornament Punch, Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch

My first flowery card is for Mojo #167 and Stampin' Royalty's #48 to use Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso, Marina Mist and River Rock. I love Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso together - they are just so rich!

Recipe:

Stamps: Ornate Flowers from SU, Four of a Kind, Fancy Flourishes both from PTI

Papers: River Rock, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Marina Mist DSP from Subtles pack, Ginger Blossoms DSP (retired)

Inks: Rich Razzleberry ink and marker, River Rock ink and marker, Marina Mist

Accessories: Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon, Circle Nestabilities

And my final card for this post is for Paper Pal Arts #71 to use Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz and Regal Rose and Just Add Ink #46 to just add critters (I used butterflies). I thought I'd try a card style I haven't fone in a while so went for a trifold. I love making these cards, but boy did this one take forever to do! I used A4 card as I had no 12 x 12 in Early Espresso so readjusting the measurements took me a while to work out as most sections had to be measured in 1/16 of an inch! (I can't do mm and cm!) and then all the die cuts and colouring!

Recipe:

Stamps: Delightful Dahlias, Big & Bold Wishes, Butterfly Dreams all from PTI, Great Friend from SU

Papers: Early Espresso, Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Sweet Always DSP (retired)

Inks: Early Espresso, Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Sizzix Flourish die, Delightful Dahlias dies from PTI

And that's all from me in this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Last minute challenge cards and my advent calendar!

Just a couple of last minute challenge cards for you before the challenges run out!

My first one is for Stacey's Curtain Call #58 to use Crumb Cake, Concord Crush, Whisper White, Basic Black and Basic Gray - such an elegant colour combo! I used old Mojo #47 for my sketch as well. This one is also for Sweet Stampin's Bows and Buttons challenge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Damask Designs, Big & Bold Wishes both from PTI

Papers: Crumb Cake, Concord Crush, Whisper White, Basic Gray all from SU

Inks: Concord Crush, Basic Black, Crumb Cake all from SU

Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Buttons from Papermania, Textile Texture Embossing Folder, Ribbon from stash, Corner Rounder Punch

My next card is for Totally Tilda #10 to use Gold and Glitz and for Just Magnolia #83 for the sketch. I'm also entering it in Free For All #19 to use gold and a star and for Free For All #20 to use new stuff. I keep forgetting to entering this challenge, despite how much new stuff I do use, but my Tilda stamp was one I bought last weekend. I have to say I very rarely use gold on my cards - it's just not my colour, but I did find all this gold stuff in my Christmas cards box, so used as much as I could

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda with Hanging Heart from Magnolia

Papers: Harvest Gold from PTI, Copics White, Gold card from stash, Starry DSP from Bits N Pieces Christmas Pack, Christmas Vellum from Card Art Papercrafts

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Golden Star Gelly Roll Pen

Accessories: Gold star from stash, Tinsel trim from Card Magazine freebie, Tilda Doily Flower Die, Gold Brads, Tilda Border Die

And this is my advent calendar for this year. It started out as one of Kaisercraft's chipboard advent calendars. I covered all the little boxes with some old Papermania Christmas papers, painted the numbers with acrylic paint and then added the scene in the middle.

Each box is now filled with a yummy, scrumptious Ferrero Roche chocolate! Much better than those cheapy advent calendars I usually have!

Recipe:

Stamps: Rowdy Tilda, Snowy Hug Tilda, Santa across the moon (don't know the real name) all from Magnolia, Winter House from Molly Blooms, Snowball pile from Snow Angels from SU

Papers: Old Olive, Pink Passion, Orchid Opulence textured both from SU, Copics White, Stampers Select white from PTI, DSP from Papermania

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Acrylic Paint

Accessories: Christmas Tree Die from PTI, Diamond Stickles, Advent Calendar Kit from KaiserCraft

And that's all for today folks. Thanks for stopping by!

All Things Magical and Mythical #119 Featuring Mermaid Birthday Party Treasure from Faery Ink

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. I haven't used a Faery Ink image for ages so...
