Splashes of Red

Just a few cards I made today, all of which had red on, just by sheer coincidence!

This first card is for Papertrey Princess Ren-Yi's challenge Ink Up and Oldie but a Goodie in which you had to use an old PTI stamp set. I picked out one of my first sets I bought from PTI, Little Lady. I so wanted a ladybird set and this one was perfect! This one is also for Mojo Monday Sketch #216. I tried out my new pearl pen for this one as well and the pearls come out really well, when I don't splodge them! Think I need a bit more practice with it.

My next card is another Papertrey Princess challenge. This time is was for BethieJ's Birthday card challenge and I used the colours from Color Throwdown's Challenge #169 to use Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Real Red. Had to add a bit of green for my grass and flower stems though, but I do love these colours together!

And my final card for today is a bit of a special one I guess. One of the TAs at my school is very ill with a brain tumour and cancer of liver and is currently undergoing lots of treatment. We didn't want to send a get well card, so I made this A4 sized thinking of you card, so she knows she's in our thoughts. I used Just Magnolia's Challenge #134 to use red, pink and white.

And that's all the cards for today folks! Now I can't tell you precisely what my exciting news is today, but here's a little sneak peek...

Make sure you come back here on Friday to find out all about it!

Thanks for stopping by!

A couple of green cards

Just a couple of cards with green in that I did today.

This first one is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #4 for November and CC350 to use Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Marina Mist - gorgeous combo!

My last card for today is for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #192 for the sketch, Cupcake Crafts Challenge #169 to make a card for a teenage boy (grunge and guitars always go down well for those difficult teenagers!) and for old CC73 to use Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel and Sage Shadow. Not too sure about the ribbon across the middle - think it would have looked better without it to be honest, but hey ho nevermind!

And that's all from me today folks! I'll be back tomorrow no doubt with some more cards and some exciting news!
