The Birds and The Bats

Just a trio of cards I made today using birds and bats!

This first one is for Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #173 and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #231 to use some bling. I found this paper pad in my pile of 6x6 pads and have never used it despite it being absolutely stunning - all pinks, reds and greens! Must use it again soon!

My next card is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #112 and I fancied doing a Hallowe'en card for this one using my new SU DSP pack, which although is classed as a Hallowe'en pack is not really. The colours are but the patterns can be used for any occasion which is great as once Hallowe'en has gone I can still use the papers for other projects instead of waiting for Hallowe'en to come round again, by which time I've probably bought some more papers anyway!

And my final card for today is for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #143 to make a scene. Again I went with a Hallowe'en scene with Batty Princess outside in her garden of pumpkins! It's just so easy to do a quick easy night time scene, but it took an absolute age to cut her out . Won't be doing that again in a hurry - looks great though!

And that's all from me today folks! Off to carry on doing a bit more for my assignment. Still need to do about 3100 words! And I want to get it done by next Friday at the very latest! Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink's August Blog Hop

It's time again for Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop and this month was a slightly different inspiration challenge. There were many different ideas to pull from these photos, but I took mainly the colours, felt, Argyle and men's cards from them. I felt these photos were definitely more geared to a masculine card than a feminine card. I also used the sketch from Just Add Ink's Challenge #132 for this one with a little addition of the stars and twine.

And here's my card.
