New Tiddly Inks Stamps

I bought some new Tiddly Inks digis a couple of weeks ago (as well as some more yesterday with the special offer for Christy's birthday) and finally got round to using one today, so I thought I would enter the Tiddly Inks Challenge #129 to make a birthday card and Crafting When I Can's Challenge #66 to make a card for a child.

And here she is - love this Fairy Fae; she's so cute. Couldn't get my Frantage right on this one though - it just never seems to go where I want it to go or stay in the place I put it! I think I might have to find a Versamark pen again and do some dots so it will stick on better.

Lily's Tulip for Springtime

Spring is starting to peek through those rainy clouds that we keep having and it's slowly starting to get warmer too (although I did have to de-ice my car the other morning and being as impatient as I am didn't wait for my windscreen to defrost before starting my windscreen wipers and tore the rubber off one of them. £17 later and I have a new wiper blade!)

Anyway I love making Springtime cards as it always makes me feel much happier and looking forward to warmer weather, so A Creative Romance's Spring Flowers Challenge was perfect for how I was feeling today! This card is also for Art by MiRan's Challenge #2 Anything Goes, Crafty Little Fairies Challenge to use a tag and Sketch & Stash's Challenge #135. My new stash is my new digi stamp and the patterned paper; everything else I've had for a while.

I chose Lula the Ladybug and she is just the cutest! I am also entering Lacy Sunshine's Challenge #29 Anything Goes, Creative Inspirations Challenge #258 to make a girly card and Papertake Weekly's Sketch Challenge #88 with this card.

And here's my card... I did use a bit of red and green on this one, but hope it's still pink enough for a girly card!

Butterfly Drifting

I finally got my hands on one of the new Memory Box stencils and pulled it out for a little play this morning. I used Charisma Cardz Challenge #7 to make a CAS card, which I'm never very good at as I don't like lots of empty spaces, for Deep Ocean's Challenge #74 to make a card for a friend and for Color Throwdown's Challenge #285 to use this gorgeous colour combo below.

And here's my card. Th stencil was actually too big for the A6 sized card I made, so I added the last butterfly separately and love the dimension it adds to it. I sponged the background with Sahara Sand but it didn't really show up so I added the trio of dots for a bit more!

Recipe:

Stamps: Friends 'Til The End, Harvest Berries both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla all from Stampin' Up

Inks: Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride all from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Pear Pizzazz Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Butterfly Drifting Stencil from Memory Box

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

A Final Card for The Paper Shelter

Not a final card forever though, just a final card as a participant because... I was picked as one of their new Design Team members! I could not believe it when I received an email on Friday from the lovely Marie! I am still giddy and cannot stop grinning. I am beyond excited!

So as a final participant card, I used one of my fave images - Red Riding Hood and am entering this into The Paper Shelter's Challenge #150 to use more than 5 flowers, for Papertake Weekly's Challenge to make a card for a mum or a girl, Aurora Wings Challenge #1 Anything Goes, and Scrapbook Stamp Society's Challenge #37 Anything Goes with a Butterfly.

And here she is...I used my Silhouette Portrait a lot on this one after seeing the arch/curved frame in my library and decided I wanted it to look like Red was coming out of the forest. Not sure if it really looks like that, but it's cute nonetheless. Hope you like her!

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Baked Brown Sugar both from Stampin' Up, Heartfelt Patterned Paper from Lili of the Valley, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Not had much time for crafting this week, with a school training day at the NEC for the Education Show (where I spent my lunch break in the Hobbycrafts show and bought lots of new crafting goodies and ate on the coach back instead!) and catching up on some DT cards today.

See you next weekend with a fabulous new card for my new DT role at The Paper Shelter!

For the love of chocolate!

For those of you who know me, I love my chocolate! In fact I would go as far as to say that I am truly and utetrly addicted to chocolate and if I don't have at least one bit a day, I think I would die! OK, so that is a bit extreme, but I would be a bit grumpy and antsy! Maybe it really is time to cut back, but it's just so delicious!

Anyway this digi stamp from Art by MiRan was one of the first I bought as I would love to have a huge bar of chocolate just like that! This card is for Crafty When We Can's Challenge #65 to use hearts and flowers and for Sketchy Challenges #69 to use Kirsty-Anne's sketch below which I rotated to fit my image better.
