Art by MiRan Facebook Challenge January 30th Anything Goes

Good morning! I hope you are liking all the changes we have made to the Art by MiRan Facebook Challenges. I am loving all the entries to our progressive challenge so far and if you haven't joined in yet, don't panic, there's still plenty of time yet! The challenge doesn't close until February 12th!

Today is another new challenge though and this time it's an Anything Goes challenge as long as you use an image from Art by MiRan, which can also include the rubber stamps from Whimsy and Treasured Times. This one will also last a month and will close on Thursday 26th February.

I have used the gorgeous Moon Goddess from Whimsy Stamps for this challenge - isn't she just beautiful?! I had this idea to colour her dress in yellow and was then stuck for what colour to do h4r wrap and flowers in. Orange is not a colour I usually go for unless I am doing Hallowe'en cards, but I love it on this one! Just a little touch was enough!

And here's a side view of the easel card...

A Smexy for my Daddy!

It's my dad's birthday next week and I usually make him some sort of football or beer drinking related card, but thought one of the smexies from Slinky Tart would be a good idea. I'm pretty sure he'll appreciate her! LOL

This card is for Crafty Sentiments' For A Man Challenge.

And here she is... I kept the card fairly simply as my dad isn't really a fan of lots of frilly, fluffy stuff on his card, so a bit of twine and a few buttons and she was done really quickly.

For Your Special Day from Copia

I so wanted to join with the Sweet Pea Stamps Friends & Fans Progressive Challenge, so pulled out my folder of printed digi stamps that I have from them and decided on using Copia by Zoimar Lezama. I've never been brave enough to colour her in before as I just wasn't sure whether I could do the dress properly or not. But...I gave her a good go and despite my RV23 running out completely halfway through and with no reinker either, I think she came out quite well.

This card is also for Copic Marker Europe's Challenge #36 to use flowers, Scrapper's Delight's Challenge #39 to use your favourite colours (everyone should know by now that mine is pink! Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Moonlight Gathering

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chu Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week i am showcasing the gorgeous Moonlight Gathering did which you can buy from the Ching-Chou Kuik etsy store.

I fancied doing something a little different with her and wanted to give her an earthy feel, so gave her green hair and I love this colour combo for it! However, all the green and brown papers made the card a bit dull looking so I spruced it up with touches of red to reflect the toadstools in the digi. I kept her fairly simple this time as I wanted her to really stand out.

Lord of the Rings Inspired Elf Queen

I still remember reading The Hobbit for the first time when I was about 13. I read it back to back 3 times and then went and bought the Lord of the Rings trilogy and did the same thing! I don't think I read anything else for about a year! Just kept reading them all over and over and over. And now I do the same with the films. Every time I have a holiday I watch them all - just love these fantasy stories!

Anyway this card is totally inspired by these books and films for Open Minded Fun Crafting Challenge #28 Movie Inspiration. It is also for Kenny K's Challenge #187 You Are Special and for Polka Doodles Challenge Week 3 CASE It to CASE someone else's card. I absolutely loved this card by Annette when she shared it on the Kenny K Challenge blog back in October last year and it was this card that made me go and buy this gorgeous Elf Queen digi, but I never got round to using her! I CASEd her layout and used the same digi, but went for a more woodland feel of brown and greens.

Anyway here she is...

Recipe:

Stamps: Elf Queen from Kenny K, Fabulous Phrases from Stampin' Up

Papers: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla all from Stampin' Up, Simply Chartreuse Pattern Pack, Dark Chocolate Pattern Pack & Pacific Vineyard Patterned Papers all from Papertrey Ink, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

And that's all from me for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #186 - Use Dies and/or Punches

Good morning and welcome to my first post of the year for The Paper Shelter Challenge blog. We took a bit of a break over the Christmas and New Year holidays and have now returned! It's team B's turn this week and our challenge is a nice easy one - use dies and/or punches on your creation!

I used both on mine with a punch around the page set from Martha Stewart and lots of die cuts! I also used the gorgeous Winter Blossom. Isn't she just stunning?! Sorry the photo's a bit dark, but any brighter and the sentiment disappears as the ink is such a pale blue!

I only have a few but they are punching, die cuts, handmade flowers, double bow tying, Copic colouring and stamping.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post

Good morning and welcome to my post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I am showcasing one of Ching-Chou's new digis stamps, Snow Drop. I love snowdrops as a flower so was so excited to see this one and just had to request her for my inspiration post today! Snowdrops are so pure, simple and beautiful, just like this digi!

I decided to go for a monotone colour scheme today, which I don't usually do but I thought white and green worked so well with this image and just look at her hair! Isn't it just beautiful?! I would love to have long, flowing, curly hair like that!

This card is also for Through The Craft Room Door's Anything Goes Challenge, Crafty Sentiments' Girly Challenge and for Papertake Weekly's It's All New Challenge. I used a new digi and a new set of Spellbinders dies that I bought in the Christmas sales.

Slinky Tart Valentina

Good morning! This is my very first post for the new Slinky Tart digi stamp company. for those of you who may not know the EU have brought in some new laws for applying VAT to digital purchases and Tamara of The Stamping Chef decided that it was time to have a revamp of some of her images and her store! And we can now officially present the very first brand new Slinky Tart image, Valentina! And boy is she just one sexy lady! Love her!

It's my 18th anniversary with my boyfriend on Thursday this week (can't believe he has put with me and all my crazy notions over the years!) and this image was perfect for his card! I'll let him imagine that I look as beautiful as she does!

I fancied doing a pop up box card for a card and covered it with hearts! You can't see in the photo at all as the camera wouldn't pick it up, but the heart she is sat on is covered with Clear Wink of Stella and her wings have stickles all over them.

And here's the back...

Make A Wish with Ursula

The colouring challenge over on The Outlawz this week is to use fairytale characters and I knew I had some fabulous digis from Alicia Bel that would work for this challenge, but I fancied doing something a little bit different. Instead of your usual fairies, unicorns, princesses, I went with Ursula, the sea witch from The Little Mermaid! I always loved Ursula as she's got such an evil laugh! LOL

Anyway this card is for The Outlawz Friday Colouring Challenge to use fairytale/myths characters, Alicia Bel's Challenge #3 to use the sketch below and Papertake Weekly's Anything Goes Challenge.

And here's the sketch from Alicia Bel...
