It will soon be Easter so even more of an excuse than normal to add chocolate to my diet! LOL Here's another Easter card from me using a cute digi from Di's Digi Downloads and some (very old now) papers from First Edition. Lacy Sunshine Challenge #55 Butterfly Kisses and Springtime Wishes

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new Lacy Sunshine Challenge. This fortnight we are challenging you to use butterfly kisses and springtime wishes! Perfect for the warmer weather, don't you think?!

I was given the gorgeous Iris Flower Pot Pretties image to use for me card and as this range of Heather's stamps are one of my faves along with the Ethereal Enchantresses, I loved putting this one together. I really don't know my flowers very well, so had to hunt on the internet for the colours of the irises and found this gorgeous picture of purple and yellow irises so used that as my colour inspiration.

And here's my card...

Art by MiRan Facebook March Challenge Anything Goes

Good evening! And what a fabulous evening tonight is as I am now on holiday for a fortnight! I so need this break as this half term at school has been so incredibly busy, despite it being a week shorter than usual. That is because we have the same amount of work to do in 5 weeks that we would usually have 6 to do it in! We've had parents evenings, mentoring day, assessment week (so heaps of extra marking!), a poetry extravaganza performance and I've been on numerous courses! Busy busy busy!

Anyway tonight is the start of the new challenge over at the Art by MiRan Facebook group and as it is our second challenge of the month, it is our Anything Goes challenge. For this challenge, you can make anything you like, using any theme and image you like as long as it includes a stamp by Art by MiRan and that includes the stamps from Whimsy Stamps, Crafts & Me and Treasured Times too.

I chose to use the cute Meow for my card today which is completely not my style - I did a CAS card! I really wanted to use the paw prints card base from the Silhouette Studio and thought it was perfect for this image, but didn't want to cover it up, so left it fairly plain. I'm sure you all know I love my layers, so this was especially hard for me not to add anything more to it than just the ribbon and cat die cut!

This card is also for...

Recipe:

Stamps: Meow from Art by MiRan

Papers: Marina Mist, Smoky Slate & Basic Gray all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copic Markers, Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen

Accessories: Basic Gray Ribbon from Stampin' Up, Die Cuts (card base, sentiment & Cat) all from Silhouette Studio

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30
Inner Ears - R20, R30
Hair & Tail - W3, W5, W7, W9
Dress, Gloves & Boots - T1, T4, T6
Eyes & Bows - B91, B93, B95
Bell - C00, C1, C2

And that's all from me for today folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the Art by MiRan Facebook group and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and why not join in the fun whilst you are there too?!

Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday - Maxi Skirt Momma

Good morning! I am posting today for the Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday event, in which an older, maybe more forgotten digi, is showcased to remind you of some of the fabulous digis that Lindsay's sells in the Sassy Studio Designs Store. This week the flashback digi is Maxi Skirt Momma 1, which was a really hard digi for me to use. (I just realised I used #2 instead of #1 but she is very similar; this one has a skirt on! Oops and no time to do another one!) Without going into much detail, I don't do babies or pregnancy, so struggled with what to do with this one. But I persevered and finally came up with something I was happy with.

My friend Natalie will soon be leaving work to have her second child which is going to be a boy (hopefully) and therefore I did this card in all blues and browns. I love this patterned paper from Lili of the Valley and it's perfect for baby cards as well as other general cards.

Anyway here she is...all ready to pop out that baby!

Recipe:

Stamps: Maxi Skirt Momma 2 from Sassy Studio Designs, Scattered Showers from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Spring Rain from Papertrey Ink, Soft Suede from Stampin' Up, Bear Necessities Patterned Papers from Lili of the Valley, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Bashful Blue (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers

Accessories: Bashful Blue Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Heart Border Die from Papertrey Ink

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30
