In The Pink Challenge #68 Clean and Simple OR Fussy and Fancy

Good morning and welcome to my post for the In The Pink's new challenge #68. This week we are giving you the choice of making either a CAS card or a Fussy and Fancy card. I am not a CAS girl at all - love my embellishments and layers too much for that! So the obvious choice for me was definitely fussy and fancy.

And here she is - lots of layers, lots of embellishments and of course, lots of pink.

The Paper Nest Dolls Inspiration Post - Maddy With Glasses

Good Morning and welcome to my post for The Paper Nest Dolls. Today I decided I wanted to use the gorgeous Maddy with Glasses from this month's new releases and thought she would be perfect for a little notebook, seeing as she's carrying her own!

I used a fairly small notebook. I think it is about 3 x 5 inches and covered it in Crushed Curry cardstock and then decorated it, using similar colours to colour in Maddy. I added some ribbon under the oval die cut, so it could be tied closed.

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #57 Topsy Turvy Mismatch

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new Lacy Sunshine Challenge. Did you all enjoy our blog hop last week using lots of gorgeousness! I sure did!

This fortnight we are challenging you to use an image in a topsy turvy way. By that we mean take an image, traditionally use for a particular occasion or season and use it in in different, non-traditional way!

I chose to use the gorgeous Lizabeth Spring Music digi and turned her into a winter image. Instead of flowers I covered them all up with frosty sequins to act as snowflakes. It really does work, doesn't it?!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Longing

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I chose to use the gorgeous digi, Longing. Ching-Chou has so many beautiful digis and I look at them all each month to choose the ones I want to use and I swear I am constantly finding new ones that I have never seen before!

I used turquoise and purples on this card and tried to keep the patterned papers a bit more subtle than the colours in the image, so the image would stand out. I wasn't really sure what kind of background to do, so tried a dotty one using various shades of purple and turquoise and I absolutely love this one!

Recipe:

Stamps: Longing from Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps, Compact Sentiments Part One from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Sassy Studio New Release Teaser

Just popping in to show you a little teaser for one of the new releases from Sassy Studio Designs this week. You're going to love them all! Hmmm wonder who or what she is...

What I've been doing this weekend

Just thought I would show you what I have been up to this weekend...I signed up for the Kit & Clowder Monthly Create and Learn classes and printed off the digi that Alyce used as I already had it and off I went. About 3 hours in on Saturday evening and I had only managed the sky, clouds, moon and her skin, but my shoulders and neck were aching after all the leaning over.

I finished the rest off this afternoon and this is how it turned out. I'm pretty pleased with it apart from the two blobs where I leaned on the wet paint! It is a really big piece as well - the biggest I have ever done. It is about 6 inches by 7 inches and I think I'm going to frame this one.

Thought I would add it to a few challenges though.

All the colours are the ones used in Alyce's class and I haven't got a clue what they all are!

Good Morning and welcome to my latest inspiration post for the Slinky Tart blog. I chose to use the gorgeous Illiana for my car and just had to colour her up in some hot pink and brown! In The Pink Challenge #67 Make It Sparkle

Pink and glitter - you can't get much better than that than to add a fairy in the mix! Perfect challenge for me this time from the In The Pink Challenge blog. I used tons of silver and pale pink glitter paper along with some glittery patterned papers and some silver star gelly roll and shiny silver ribbon. I thought it might be too much, but as the colours are fairly pale I think it works!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Sweet and Fragrant

Good Morning and welcome to another of my inspiration posts for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. this week I am using a gorgeous digi from Ching-Chou's Etsy store, Sweet and Fragrant. Isn't she just simply beautiful?!

I printed her out quite large as I wanted to get as much detail in her hair as possible. I also used a new set of Nestabilities frames and she fitted in perfectly, but as they were also very large it didn't leave much room for embellishing, although I don't really think she needs much to be honest.

Recipe:

Stamps: Sweet and Fragrant from Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps, A5 Verses from Lili of the Valley

Papers: Real Red, Soft Suede & Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Spring Breeze from Teresa Collins, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Hugs, Kisses and Fairy Wishes

Tiddly Inks are having a DT call again so I thought I would try out this time. I didn't have the nerve last time, but as the saying goes, nothing ventured, nothing gained! The challenge is to use your favourite Tiddly Inks stamp and I actually couldn't narrow it down enough to one stamp, so I narrowed it down to a theme and went for fairies instead. I used the gorgeous Willow the Greeting Fairy for a very pink card! My fave colour too.
