Fireborn Inspiration

Today is the last day for entering the FaeryInk Facebook Challenge, so I pulled out my digis this morning and grabbed one to use. The challenge this month is creatures, so the image had to have a creature in it. I chose to use the gorgeous Amber Elegant Fowl for my card.

I took my colour inspiration from a book I finished last week, called Fireborn by Keri Arthur. She is one of my favourite authors and I love every series she writes. This book was about a phoenix spirit who could take on 3 different forms - a human, a fire spirit or a firebird. The colours of her flames in the book very much inspired the colours of my bird and the Fire Fae!

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #66 School Rules

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog. This fortnight our challenge is called School Rules, so we want to see some school related projects.

As a teacher, I love to have a new notebook each year, but I tend to decorate a massive one and then use hardly any of it! So this year I am going for a cute little notebook that can also fit easily into my handbag and be more manageable to carry around!

I used the cute Kenna Back To School image and coloured her in red and lime green to go with the notebook I had bought (I got 6 of these for £1 from Poundland so might make all the other members of my Year 3 team a new notebook for the beginning of the school year which starts for teachers anyway, on Thursday September 3rd for 2 days worth of training.)

This notebook is also for

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Little Companion

Good Morning and welcome to my DT inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Challenge Blog. This week I am sharing a criss-cross card with you, using the gorgeous Little Companion. I wanted to use different colours with this image as she has a very naturalistic feel to her - her dress looks like leaves.

As it's my Mother-in-law's birthday this week, I thought I would make the flowers yellow to go with the sunflower dies round the outside as they are my MIL's favourite flowers. I love this one even though these are not my usual colours!
