The Paper Nest Dolls Inspiration Post - Fashion Doll Princess

Good Morning and welcome to my final inspiration post for 2015 for The Paper Nest Dolls. Christine has recently released some gorgeous new Fashion Dolls, wearing a fabulous range of different outfits and I chose to use the Princess one today.

Purple and yellow is another favourite colour combo of mine and I needed something bright and not red, green & gold, or blue, white & silver for a change from all those wintery and Christmas combos I have been using recently!

The Outlawz Friday Colouring Challenge - Anything Goes with an Optional Christmas Twist

Good Morning, Merry Christmas and welcome to my last DT post for the Outlawz Friday Colouring Challenge. I have decided to step down from this DT to give myself some more time for crafting for fun amongst other things. Sadly the challenge is closing at the end of the year as well now, but keep your eye on The Outlawz in the new year when a new challenge will be coming in to take its place.

For my last DT card I chose to go with the optional Christmas theme as I was still in need of more Christmas cards when I made it and used the gorgeous Suzie Snowflakes from Art by MiRan. Love this gorgeous girl and I went with a brown and gold colour theme. Love this almost monochromatic card!

Destiny Bakes...Unlike Me

Good evening! Welcome to my post! I am sharing with you today my card for the Baking Challenge in the Faery Ink Facebook Group using the gorgeous Destiny Bakes. There are absolutely loads of different images packed into this set, so if you love baking images and sentiments then head on over to the Faery Ink store and pick her up here!

My lovely friend Asha baked me some incredibly scrumptious gluten free brownies for Christmas, so this card is my thank you card for her! This was also my first successful attempt at doing Asian skin colours and I am so pleased with how it came out. Usually it is too dark, but this combo worked perfectly. I went with a slightly subtle country feel to this one and love how it came out!

Home Sweet Home

Good evening! Thought I would share with you all a little project I have finally made today as part of my MIL's Christmas present. I have used the cute Little Fairy and Mushroom House from Julia Spiri for this one, but I do apologise to Julia for the lateness of it. I was supposed to do it a couple of weeks ago but my printer died on me so couldn't print anything, then I came down with a horrible viral infection, then it was the craziness that is the end of term at school, so finally I coloured it all up last night and put it together this morning.

Still took me ages to do as I have developed tennis elbow in my writing hand, so everything takes twice, three times as long as normal as my arm aches so much. Not a lot I can do for it other than the massages I had to do when I had it in my left arm! And just before Christmas too! Not good :(

Anyway after all my moans and groans, here's my picture frame! The sentiment was too big to go inside the frame and as my printer still isn't fixed and I am on holiday from school, I cannot print another one and have no stamps that say Home Sweet Home, so stuck it on the outside instead. I do love how this one came out and hope my MIL likes it!

This picture frame is also for

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #74 Christmas Confections

Good morning everyone and welcome to the last Lacy Sunshine challenge of the year! We have had some fantastic challenges this year and I am looking forward to seeing what next year has in store for all of us!

This challenge is called Christmas Confections, so we want to see your projects for Christmas candy, sweet and treats. You could use an image with one of these things in or you could make a treat box of some kind for a Christmas gift.

I went for a card as I was a bit short on the number of Christmas cards I needed (like 22 short! Eek!) and I used the gorgeous Rory's Bag of Candy Canes. As this one is for posting I kept it a bit more simple than my usual cards, but I love the simple layout look sometimes.

This card is also for

Recipe:

Stamps: Rory's Bag of Candy Canes from Lacy Sunshine Stamps, Very Vintage Christmas & Candy Jar Christmas Fillers both from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Old Olive, Whisper White & Holiday Treasures DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Card Base from Crafts Unlimited

Ice Skater Macy

You know I used to ice skate as a child. As part of our PE lessons at primary school we used to go to the local ice rink and have lessons every Friday afternoon as one of our teachers worked there part time. I loved it. I wasn't very good at it but I could move away from the side, skate forwards, backwards and even on one leg with the other straight out behind me! Yeah, not so much now!  In a way I wish I had kept it up, but me and exercise have never been on good terms LMAO

Anyway on to my card using Art by MiRan's Ice Skater Macy! Love this girl! Had to do her in non-traditional Christmas colours too! I just wish the Wink of Stella would show up in the photos too!

This card is also for

Recipe:

Stamps: Ice Skater Macy from Art by MiRan, On Ice from Papertrey Ink

And that's it for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Fairy Sending Christmas Cheer

I won a prize from Stitchy Bear Stamps a little while ago and chose some Christmas images for my cards this year and this Christmas Fairy was one of them! I kept it fairly plain (well for me anyway) so that it was a bit easier to go through the postal service. I have spent a fortune this year on posting cards, so any flatter ones were much needed to keep the costs down!

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Christmas Fairy from Stitchy Bear Stamps, Holiday Photo Finishers from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White & Holiday Treasures DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Real Red from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers

Accessories: Old Olive Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Heart Border Die from Papertrey Ink, Red 3D Pearl Effects from Dovecrafts, Gold Stickles, Circle & Big Scalloped Circle Nestabilities both from Spellbinders, White Glitter Glue from Hobbycraft, Wide Gold Ribbon from Anita's

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R21
Hair - E13, E15, E18
Red - R32, R35, R37, R39
Green - G40, G43, G46
Gold - Y21, Y23, Y26
Ground - E40, E41, E42

And that' all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Some Real Quick Christmas Cards

My Mother-in-law has asked for 12 Christmas cards on top of the 10 cards that I was already short so I thought I had best make some really quick ones as I haven't got enough time to do detailed, coloured ones for them all. These are all fairly flat as well so ideal for posting too!

This was the only one with a bit of colouring on it and this took all of about 15 minutes to colour as well as it didn't need very much shading at all. The dots around the words took the longest!

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Merry Christmas Holly 2 by Crafty Girl Creations@ Stitchy Bear Stamps

Papers: Real Red, Old Olive & Dashing DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copic Markers

Accessories: Ribbon from Anita's, Gold Stickles, Red 3D Pearl Effects from Dovecraft

Copics Used:
Red - R35, R37
Leaves - G24, G28
Dots - Y23, Y26

My next card it one I have done before in the past but always a good one to replicate as it is so quick and easy to do so! I used the Wonderful Words: Snow set from Papertrey Ink and a range of blue inks to come up with this ombre effect. Took about 10 minutes to make in all! And that included getting everything out and putting it all away again! (I'm a tidy crafter. After each card everything I no longer need is put back where it belongs before I get the next lot of supplies out to use!)

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Wonderful Words: Snow from Papertrey Ink, Winter Wishes 6410/0125 from Joy Crafts

Papers: Marina Mist, Midnight Muse (Retired) & Whisper White all from Stampin' Up

Inks: Midnight Muse, Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Soft Sky & Pool Party all from Stampin' Up

Accessories: White Glitter Glue from Hobbycraft

And my last card for this post is the one that took the longest! I just could not get the white bits on Santa's suit to be white enough. I tried my Molotow Paint Pen and that just leaked everywhere. My white gel pen sucks and didn't work at all. This version is my white chalk pen from Stampin' Up and was ok but still not bright white enough for me! Love the concept of this card though!

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Holiday Photo Finishers from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Real Red, Basic Black, Old Olive & Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, 'Twas The Night Patterned Papers from Lili of the Valley, Card Base from Crafts Unlimited

Inks: Real Red & White Chalk Pen both from Stampin' Up, Gold Star Gelly Roll Pen, Copic Fine Liner

Accessories: Baker's Twine from Martha Stewart, White Glitter Glue from Hobbycraft, Happy Holidays Christmas Trees Dies 6002/2056 & Happy Holidays Santa's Suit Dies 6002/2043 both from Joy Crafts

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning and welcome to my latest project for the new challenge at In The Pink. This fortnight our challenge is for you to make a pink Christmas project! Nice and easy, right?!

I had a quick hunt through my miscellaneous digi stamps folder and found this cute snowman and bunny image already printed and thought this would be perfect! It s actually one of Crissy Armstrong's digis from Whimsy Stamps, when they used to sell digis, before that silly European VAT law came in last year and ruin it for all us crafters!

Recipe:

Stamps: Snowman Hold My Heart by Chrissy Armstrong @Whimsy Stamps

Papers: Pink Pirouette & Whisper White both from Stampin' Up, Patterned Papers all from Maja Designs, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copic Markers, Pink Wink of Stella

Accessories: Aspen Snowflake Punch Around The Page set from Martha Stewart, White Glitter Glue from Hobbycraft, Shabby White Frantage Embossing Powder from Stampendous, Ribbon from local market

Copics Used:
Pale Pink - R00, R30, R11
Dark Pink - R81, R83, R85

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the In The Pink Challenge Blog and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and why not join in the fun whilst you are there too?!

We also have a fabulous sponsor this time as well - The Paper Nest Dolls are giving away a fabulous £15 prize!
