Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge at In The Pink. This fortnight we are challenging you to use your dies and/or your punches on your pink project! I have heaps of dies and a fair few punches as well, so this one was easy-ish for me. It was deciding which ones to use that is always the problem!

I used a cute Saturated Canary image for a pretty Easter card - haven't used one of their images for ages and I had lots of fun colouring her up. I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page for my border punch and some egg die cuts.

All Dressed Up New Release - For Your Wedding Day

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new release showcases for All Dressed Up this month. I hope you have been loving all the other design team members projects so far.

I have used the gorgeous For Your Wedding Day, which you can find in the store, and went with a traditional red and white colour palette this time. I kept it fairly CAS for me and made use of one of tens of embossing folders that rarely see the light of day anymore! This card is a lot more shimmery in real life as the embossed card is pearlescent white and the bows are covered with clear Wink of Stella for a subtle shimmer too.

Recipe:

Papers: Stamper's Select White Card from Papertrey Ink, White Pearlescent Card from The Works, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place, Cardboard Patterns Patterned Paper from DecoTime, Card Blank from Crafts Unlimited

Friends are like bookends...

Good afternoon, well evening really. I'm doing this post really quickly before I head off out for the night, celebrating my friend's 60th birthday! Happy Birthday to Jan if she reads this!

This is a birthday card for another friend of mine, who will be turning 40 in a few weeks time. her lovely sister is making her a memory book and has asked me to make something for it, including a personal letter of our years together. I have known Chris since I was 17 when we did A-Level German together! That's a fair few years now!

I made her a card using the gorgeous Tea and A Book from Saturated Canary as this image is Chris to a tee! She is an English teacher, so loves her books and needs her morning cuppa too! And although the hair is not quite the right style she tends to go for short hair more than I ever will do.

Chris isn't one for lots of colour either, preferring to stick to her shades of black, a it like me there, although I do throw in a bit of pink clothing now and then LOL, so I did this card is the only colour she really wears other than black - red. I will be adding my letter of all our memories together later on, but I hope she likes it!

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge. This fortnight our challenge is an easy one - make a card or project for the girls! With so many fabulous girly images in Di's Digi Downloads store, it wasn't hard to choose one to use!

I chose to use Mushroom Daisy for my card and used some non-traditional girly colours for this one, but it still turned out to be quite girly, just not pink! LOL I found a box with these patterned papers in and although they have chickens on them, I love the birds feet paper which goes brilliantly with this image.

Alicia Bel Inspiration Post

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Alicia Bel. I have been having a bit of an old 80s throwback of films recently and Indiana Jones is always one of my favourite trilogies (not counting the Crystal Skull one, although that is pretty good too!). Anyway I was totally inspired to use the gorgeous Indiana Girl Jones for my inspiration card this month and totally loved this one. Faery Ink New Release - Dragon Tamer

Good Morning and welcome to my new release post for the fabulous Faery Ink new releases. I do hope you have enjoyed seeing all the gorgeous new images that Amanda has released so far this month and have loved all the DT projects using them.

I was given this beautiful image to use - Dragon Tamer. Now I have always been a bit of a fantasy geek (Think Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit - huge books for me growing up!), so this image was perfect for me. I was tempted to colour her up like Daenerys from Game of Thrones with white blond hair and aqua clothes, but I used a bit of aqua on my projects last month, so I went with a more neutral colour palette instead. Kind of made me think of a fae training her dragon in the forests. Hope you like her.

Recipe:

Stamps: Dragon Tamer from Faery Ink, Daydreamer from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Old Olive, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla & Woodland Walk DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place

Kit & Clowder Create & Learn Projects June - August 2015!

I have signed up to lots of the classes from Kit & Clowder, including the Create & Learn monthly ones, but I don't always get time to do the classes every month. Instead I tend to have a binge-colouring session every time I am on holiday from school.

This was last half term's holiday's efforts. I managed to do 3 of  the Create and Learn classes and although some bits were easier than others and at one point I threw a huge hissy fit over the Ice Princess in the cavern image, I do love how they came out and think my colouring has really started to improve.

Anyway here is June's class using Hi Deer from Ching-Chou Kuik sitting in a field with a stormy sky behind her.

And this is July's class using an image from Yampuff. Bit of  wonky rainbow on this one, but never mind! I still like it! LOL

And finally August's class using Hannah Lynn's Ice Princess. This was the hardest class I have done so far - really tricky to work out which bits were coloured and which bits should have been left white. Not going to be doing this one again any time soon! LOL

Not sure what I am going to do with all these colourings as yet, but think I might frame them and add them to my craft room wall when I get one! Need to move house first though.

I'm entering these colourings into these challenges...

Recipe:

Stamps: Hi Deer from Ching-Chou Kuik, Lost and Found from Yampuff, Ice Princess from Hannah Lynn

Papers: Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Copic Markers (Not going to add all the colours here as it would take far far too long!)

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Conie Fong's Easter in Spring

Good afternoon! I finally had some free time today to craft on the first day of my Easter holidays and thought I would celebrate my joining of the Conie Fong DT with you all! Conie used to sell her digital stamps through the Sweet Pea Stamps store, but unfortunately that store closed down back in November last year. I used quite a few of Conie's images from there and fell in love with them, so was only natural for me to apply to her DT call. Luckily I got in!

I am using the gorgeous Easter In Spring image today, a new release just in time for the Easter holidays too. Just had to use my favourite ink colour combo on her dress for my first DT card!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Magic Wish

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik this week. Our theme this time is to use embossing, either wet or dry. I used to use dry embossing all the time, but haven't do so for a while really and now I have rearranged all my dies, I can't remember where I have put my embossing mats! Will have to have a good hunt for them sometime!

Anyway...I used the gorgeous Magic Wish stamp with some of my new sea life themed dies from Joy Crafts. I created the background with lots of dots - love this technique and then used my paint pen to add the white dots. My embossing was the aged aqua frantage that was sprinkled round the image for a bit of shimmer too.

Faery Ink Inspiration Post - Demera Sea Siren

I am just loving all these fabulous new images from Amanda Byron for Faery Ink. You have probably noticed that I love my fairies and mermaids so all the fabulous mermaid images that have been released this month were perfect for me.

I am using Demera Sea Siren for my inspiration post today and I decided not to make a card, but to make a wall hanging instead. Not sure where I am going to hang it just yet though, but might save it for when we move house. I went for a mostly blue-green colour palette on her and believe it or not her dress is actually turquoise, but my camera would not show the true colour at all, regardless of whether I had the flash on or not, so you'll have to just imagine what it really looks like LOL

Di's Digi Designs Challenge - Layer It Up

Good Morning and welcome to a new DT post from me. I was recently asked by my lovely friend Audrey if I would like to join the Di's Digi Designs Challenge blog. I love these images and have used them loads in the past, so I jumped at the chance to try my hand at joining this fabulous team of ladies!

Today's challenge is called Layer It Up - how perfect for me. If you have seen my cards around blogland you will know how much I love my layered cards! Love adding lots of bits and pieces to them with lots of tilted layers of pretty papers - the only time my OCD doesn't go into overdrive LOL

I used the gorgeous Basket & Bunny for this card ready for an Easter card, which can find here in the Easter section of Di's Digi Stamps website. I went for some pretty pastel colours on this one, but realised that the only egg die I have is a bit too big!
