This week Ching-Chou Kuik is sponsoring the Facebook group Passionate Paper Creations and has a fabulous new image to share with you all. Here is the gorgeous Fields of Daisies, a great image for all your Spring or Easter cards.

I made a sweet little Easter card, using lots of pastel colours. I don't make too many Easter cards as I don't send them, not being a Christian and all, but my MIL likes to send a few out, so she normally takes whatever I make.

Anyway here she is... There will be lots of fun and games in the Passionate Paper Creations group this week, so do be sure to pop in there and say hello!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Turn Into The Wind

Good afternoon and huge apologies that my Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration post is late. I didn't get chance to make it last weekend and had good intentions to make it up one evening during the week. Unfortunately that all went out of the window. Work was really busy and I was also busy writing a job application for a new job, so with all that going on I kept falling asleep really early!

Anyway here is my card for this week's inspiration, using the gorgeous Turn Into The Wind. I used some colours inspired by my friend's baby blanket that she had covering her new baby when we met up last weekend. A gorgeous blanket of light brown, coral and aqua. I loved it and came home to colour this gorgeous image using similar colours.

This card is also for

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - Moonlit Ride

Good Morning and welcome to my weekly inspiration post for the Whimsy Stamps Digital Team. This week I am showcasing one of Crissy's older images, Moonlit Ride, but I just love this collection of beautiful horses that were released last year.

I kept the background fairly plain on this one as I wanted it to look as if the horse was jumping through the stars. I created the sky using Versamark and clear embossing powder before covering the white card with different colours of ink. I haven't used this emboss resist technique for ages, but loved doing it!

Recipe:

Stamps: Moonlit Ride & Sun, Moon, Stars both  from Whimsy Stamps, Boy Basics: Out of This World, Everyday Classics, Star prints & Banner Builder all from Papertrey Ink

The Paper Shelter Challenge #286 Birthday Girl

Good Morning and welcome to a new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is a nice and easy one - Birthday Girl - so we would love to see your birthday projects!

I used the revamped, but still gorgeous, Pastel Gothika for my card and went with a typical black and purple gothic combo. I went through a goth phase as  teenager and black was the colour of choice for everything! In fact, I still wear a lot of black, but my hair is now a bleached platinum blonde! Black hair makes me look really old now I'm middle aged! LOL

Anyway here she is...I attempted to colour a misty grey sky, but it didn't come out as dark as I initially wanted and then I got too scared to make it any darker in case it made it worse! Think I need to have a try on another image.

Recipe:

Stamps: Pastel Gothika from The Paper Shelter, Balloon Sentiments from Whimsy Stamps

Papers: Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black, Whisper White & Night and Day DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place

Simply B Stamps March Progressive Challenge - Beehive Queen

Good evening! I finally found time today after a busy weekend to write up my blogpost for this month's progressive challenge from Simply B Stamps. I loved this image and had the perfect patterned papers and dies to go with her! The recipe we were given for this challenge was to use black, white and yellow as the main colours, patterned papers, ribbon and embossing. I did forget the embossing initially so went back and added some shabby blue frantage embossing powder around the image! Ching-Chou Kuik March Challenge Easter or Spring

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge over at Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month our challenge is Easter or Spring, so we would love to see some of your Spring or Easter themed projects.

I used the gorgeous Love in Spring image for my card and made a slightly bigger one than usual using a pre-made 6.75" square card base. I do like how much more room you get with this size base, so must add some more on to my shopping list! I use A4 sized card and the biggest size card I can make out of it is a 5.75" square card and that extra inch makes all the difference!

I added lots of dies to this one as I rediscovered some that I had bought before Christmas and had left in a carrier bag, so I thought I would put them to good use! I have a HUGE collection of dies, so I am regularly re-discovering ones I haven't used for a while. I did forget to photo the sentiment which is on the tag with the lace that is sitting behind the image layer.

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - Basket of Bunnies

Good Morning! Welcome to my first inspiration post for the Whimsy Stamps Digital Team. I thought I would share a cute card I made for an early Easter card using the adorable Basket of Bunnies from February's new releases along with the Easter Papers and the Easter Fun Sentiments set.

I had a bunny, when I was a kid, called Skip as I was insistent that she skipped not hopped everywhere. I was only 7 mind you and hopping was on one leg and she didn't use one leg, so couldn't be hopping as my 7 year old mind thought! She was adorable and complete jet black apart from white feet, tail and a little spot under her chin. I think we had her for about 8-9 years before she died. The black rabbit in the stamp is for my little Skip!

And a close up view of the stamp...

Craft Box February Project #1 with Wee Stamps Poppy

Good Morning and welcome to my first project this month for Craft Box. I decided to use lots of the fairy elements, charms and flowers on this free-standing plaque/monolith. I bought a load of these from That Craft Place before Christmas with the intention on making all my friends and family a free standing calendar each. I managed 2! I had gessoed this one ready to make, but never got round to it and feel it's a bit late to give people a calendar now!

So anyway I added some bricks using my stencil from Dutch Doobadoo and then mixed sage green and silver paint together to make a shimmery green before adding lots of the goodies from Craft Box and lots of die cuts as well.

Here is the front.... Isn't Poppy just adorable?!

And the back... The quote is the first line from a poem I found on Pinterest.
