Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - Teen Boy Sentiments

Good morning and welcome to another of my inspiration posts for Whimsy Stamps Digital Team. This week I am sharing with you another of my masculine cards. This time I am using Teen Boy Sentiments and the English Gentleman Papers (I forgot to print out the matching Teen Boy Papers before I made this card!)

I just had to use the guitars as my boyfriend is a guitarist and I grunged the papers up a bit with my Soft Suede ink pad round the edges. Love the dirty look it gives them!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Bookworm Dollie

Good Morning and welcome to my last inspiration post of the month for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog. This week I am sharing with you all the last Dollie from the Dollie Set 1 that I have used for each of my cards this month.

This gorgeous girl is Bookworm Dollie, a Dollie version of me I guess as I constantly have my nose stuck in a book (Although I never ever drink tea or coffee!) . I finished a really good book this morning (Cupcakes, Trinkets and Other Deadly Magic by Meghan Ciana Doidge - a fun read if you like witches, shapeshifters, vampires and blood magic!).

And opened... I kept the card fairly simple so the image would be the hero of the card and it would still close as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Bookworm Dollie from Dollie Set 1 from Ching-Chou Kuik, All Booked Up from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Cherry Cobbler & Chocolate Chip both from Stampin' Up, Curiosity Corner Patterned Papers from Trimcraft, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place

The Paper Shelter Challenge #294 - Stitching Faux or Real

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is to use some stitching either real or faux. I don't use stitching very often on my cards because I just cannot use a sewing machine at all (I have a mini one from Hobbycraft somewhere that I could never stitch in a straight line with, so gave up on it!) and I cannot be bothered to do it by hand as it takes me so long!

Anyway here is my card using the adorable Cool Lolly Updated and dug out some of my old papers from Lili of the Valley before they stopped producing them. I added faux stitching to all my patterned paper layers as well as joining the pierced holes on my image panel. My ribbon also has some faux stitching on too!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cool Lolly Updated from The Paper Shelter

Papers: So Saffron & Whisper White both from Stampin' Up, Country Meadow Patterned Papers from Lili of the Valley, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place, Card Blank from stash

I used the gorgeous Kimono Peony Dollie from the Dollie Set 1 and the DT were "challenged" to use our favourite colours this time. Now this isn't really a challenge is it, as you all know by now that pink is my favourite colour and as it is such a pretty colour to work with, it makes my projects so much easier to create!

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - Up, Up And Away

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for this week for Whimsy Stamps. This week I thought I would share one of the masculine stamp sets and papers that Tracy Wray designed this month. This card uses the Up, Up And Away Sentiments and English Gentleman Papers and are just perfect for any male card, which I know some people find hard to make.

I do think next time I make this card, I need to make sure that my colour ink cartridge actually has some ink in it as I think blue balloons would have looked better than the black, but only my black ink works at the minute.

Recipe:

Stamps: Up, Up And Away from Whimsy Stamps

Papers: Marina Mist & Soft Suede both from Stampin' Up, English Gentleman Papers from Whimsy Stamps, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place

Inks: None!

Accessories: Subtles Buttons (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Baker's Twine from Dovecraft, Stitched Cloud Edges Dies from MFT

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the Whimsy Stamps and Inspiration Facebook Group or the Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog and join in our challenge this month too.

The Paper Shelter Challenge #292 Flowers

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is another nice and easy one - use flowers. You could have flowers in your image, flowers on your patterned papers or flowers as an embellishment.

I used the Adorable Dutch Girl for my card and decided not to add any flower embellishments because I don't have any paper tulips! I have boxes full of flowers - 2 huge Really Useful Company boxes full and others elsewhere and no red tulips to match the image! That must be rectified soon! LOL

Anyway here she is using a new shape art template and one of my fave colour combos too.
