Scrapper's Delights New Release Anime Gemini

Good evening and welcome to my post for the new release from Scrapper's Delights. This month Janice has released the next in her Zodiac series - Gemini, the twins.

No photo description available.

I decided to go for a green combo and coloured up the gorgeous twins in the same two shades of green, but colouring them in opposite of each other, so one girl had a darker dress with lighter trims and the other had a light dress with the darker trims. I think they came out beautifully, even if I do say so myself!

Something Else on Saturday #12 Featuring Phoenix from Simply B Stamps

Good afternoon and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post. This week I'm on holiday (May half term holidays), but I'm not sure how much crafting time I will get this time as it's that dreaded time of year for all teachers - end of year report writing time! They take ages to do - about an hour per child on average - and this year I have ability groups for maths and English to write for as well! Then add on top of all that maths and English planning to do! Going to be a busy one, but I am going to try and get SOME crafty time in!

Anyway here's this week's card using the stunning Phoenix from Simply B Stamps for this month's progressive challenge. I went for traditional firey colours of red, orange and yellow, and used up some scraps of patterned papers that have long been retired from Stampin' Up.

Something Else on Saturday #11 Featuring Loire from Sweet November Stamps

Good evening and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post! I thought I would share with you all another mermaid card, seeing as it's Mer-May this month. This beauty is Loire from Sweet November Stamps and using Amy Young's colouring here as inspiration, I created a night time scene for her. I am in absolute awe of Amy's scenic colourings and so want to be her when I grow up! LOL

As the coloring is quite big (I think it's about 5 inch square), I kept the rest of the card quite simple as there just wasn't enough room to do much more to be honest! Isn't she just beautiful though?!

We have a very pretty, but boisterous cat Tallulah, who was my inspiration for the colours of my cats on this card. She looks like butter wouldn't melt in this photo doesn't she?! LMAO

Tiddly Inks Wryn Wishes

Good evening and welcome to another of my random posts. I am a bit ahead of all my DT assignments at the minute, so today's crafting day was all just for fun projects. I coloured up this image of Wryn absolutely ages ago for the Tiddly Inks Fall Colours challenge, but I never got round to making her into a project in time so she has been in my coloured images folder ever since!

This time though I have got her onto a card and found some matching papers and card stock too! Burgundy/dark red and mango are not colours I would have picked to go together but I love the contrast between them.

Something Else on Saturday #10 Featuring Your Wish from Craftin' Desert Divas

Good morning and Happy Saturday! For this week's Something Else on Saturday post, I am using a stamp set that I have owned for well over a year now, but have never used! I have loads more like this too, where I impulse buy them and then never get round to using them! My plan this year, with this post each week, is to start using these stamps that are collecting dust!

Anyway...I loved these cute little genies when they were first released and just had to have them - it's just a shame they are not available here in the UK and paying international shipping is almost as much as the stamp sets themselves!

I went for a bright colour combo and then realised that I didn't have much patterned paper that really matched, so used some older Stampin' Up Papers and then created an inked clouded sky for them all to sit on instead!

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. This week I have used the adorable Cheeky Monkey set from Clearly Besotted to make a jungle themed birthday party card with loads of swinging monkeys. Aren't they just the cutest?!

I stamped lots of the branches from the set and then added my own vines and leaves and another longer branch at the bottom before fussy cutting all the monkeys and accessories! Those tiny hats, cupcakes etc were very fiddly, but I don't have the dies to go with them.
