November 2010 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

Today is Papertrey Ink's monthly blog hop and this month the challenge is to design a holiday tag or two using all of your favorite goodies. I used my Christmas combo for this year using the same colours and stamps - my gifts are going to look so pretty all matching! I just need to get some pink or silver (or pink AND silver) wrapping paper as all I have left from last year is red paper, which won't go with this year's design!

I started with a kraft base and cut a simple tag shape (I forgot to order the tag die in my last order!) and stamped with the snowflake circles from Background Basics: Christmas. I layered a Sweet Blush Limited Layers Circle Die (I used 3 different ones) onto a Lavender Moon Mat Stack 1 which I embossed with the Linen Texture Impressions Plate - love the texture this plate adds to cardstock! I then added a stocking from the Stocking Prints set and cut it out with the matching die, using 3 different images using Blushing Bride ink from SU (my Sweet Blush ink doesn't match very well and I will be buying a new one when the new inks come out!). I added a bit of glittered white felt to the top of the stockings and some silver cord. Finally, I punched a hole at the top of each tag and threaded some more silver cord through the top to attach them to my pressies! Really quick and easy to make too. I will need to make a few more of these but I managed to get 6 out of 1 sheet of cardstock so they didn't use much either!

Recipe:

Stamps: Stocking Prints, Background Basics: Christmas both from PTI

Papers: Kraft, Sweet Blush, Lavender Moon, Stampers' Select White all from PTI

Inks: Whisper White craft, Blushing Bride both from SU

Accessories: Silver cord from SU, Mat Stack 1 die, Limited Layers 1 3/4" Circles Collection Dies, Stocking Prints Die all from PTI, White gel pen

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop!
