Papertrey Ink's September Blog Hop

It's Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop again and this time we were asked to take inspiration from this picture below. I loved the idea of all the multicoloured stripes so used that as the basis for my card.

Here's the photo........

And here's my card....... I just had to use that sentiment for this card!

I'm also entering this one in A Passion For Papertrey's Mad for Tags Challenge.

Recipe:
Stamps: Butterfly Dreams, Up, Up & Away Sentiments, Fillable Frames #9 all from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Ocean Tides, Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold, Raspberry Fizz all from Papertrey Ink, Real Red, Whisper White both from Stampin' Up
Inks: Real Red, Summer Sun (retired) from Stampin' Up, Raspberry Fizz, Ocean Tides from Papertrey Ink
Accessories: Ocean Tides Ribbon, Fillable Frames #9 Die, Medium Butterfly Die all from Papertrey Ink, Buttons from Elzybells, Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to get round to doing some blog hopping today!

Sharing on a Sunday again

Got a bit of a mixed bunch of cards again today, but I love all of them!

This first one is for Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #90 for the sketch (and thank you to the Royalty girls for choosing my cupcake card as a top pick last week) and for Colour Create's Challenge #80 to use lime, aqua and white. I used some of the new gorgeous in colors on this one.

Recipe:
Stamps: Iconic Images, Half & Half both from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, A Walk In The Park Patterned Paper Pack from Echo Park
Inks: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party both from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Half & Half Die from Papertrey Ink, Button from Elzybells, Ribbon from stash

My next card is for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #66 which I added to a regular A6 sized card base (and lucky me won last week's stamp set! I picked the new Say It Loud Winter Holiday set!). I used the colours from CR84FN39 to use brown, orange and yellow. Rather than do a harvest card which I don't use, I made a Hallowe'en card and love this combo for it!

This is the colour swatch for CR84FN.

And here's my card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Cicely at Hallowe'en from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Summer Picnic (retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copics White
Inks: Chocolate Chip ink & marker, So Saffron marker, Pumpkin Pie marker all from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: So Saffron Button (retired), Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon (retired atm in the UK) both from Stampin' Up, Orange Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel, Circle Nestabilities

And my final card is for Mojo Monday #207 for the sketch and for Free For All Challenge #82 to use mostly blues. I would normally reserve all blue cards for masculine cards but love how this looks all in blue with a more girly feel to it.

Recipe:
Stamps: Dream Big from Verve Stamps
Papers: Island Indigo, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Country Drive Patterned Paper Pack from Echo Park
Inks: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade both from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Ribbon (retired atm in the UK), Oval Nestabilities, Corner Die from Cuttlebug, Hawaiian Shores Button from Papertrey Ink

And that's all from me this weekend folks! Thanks for stopping by!

A few mixed cards

This week's challenges that I like to do are full of sketch challenges, which are my fave ones to do, but it does mean I end up making more! Any excuse for more crafting time huh?!

My first card is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #86 for the sketch, Color Throwdown's Challenge #160 to use Regal Rose, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso (one of my fave colour combos ever!) and Make It Monday's Challenge #33 to use frosted images. My flowers didn't frost as well as Lisa Johnson's, but I do like the softer colour of the ink that I got when I over-stamped the flowers in white. (And on a happy note, I was the winner of Make It Monday Challenge #32 for my Hallowe'en card with the bats in acrylic paint that I did here last week).

Recipe:
Stamps: Botanical Silhouettes from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Regal Rose, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Sweet Always DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Regal Rose, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Very Vanilla buttons (retired), Scallop Edge Border Punch all from Stampin' Up, Pink Button from Elzybells, Pearl from Papermania

My next card is for Friday Mash Up's Challenge #25 to use the sketch and/or a masculine theme. I went for both this week and I love how this one came out. I also used the colours from The Shabby Tea Room's Challenge #80 to make a monochromatic card using white or cream, brown, kraft or black. I used Vanilla, Kraft and Soft Suede, a mid brown.

Recipe:
Stamps: Grunge Me, Rock On both from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake ink and marker all from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Twill from Stampin' Up, Oval Nestabilities, Rock On Die from Papertrey Ink

And my last card for this post is for Play Date Café's Challenge #100 to use green, orange and yellow, Free For All's Challenge #83 to make a gratitude card and send it. I'm going to give this one to my TA on Monday when I go back to work for bringing in some much needed chocolate on Friday! I used the sketch for Viva La Verve's Challenge #4 for September.

This is the colour swatch from Play Dafe Cafe

And here's my card for it

Recipe:
Stamps: Thankful Accents from Verve Stamps, Fillable Frames #9 from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Summer Picnic DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight all from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Ribbon (retired) from Stampin' Up, Victorian Fleur Embossing Folder from Papermania, Orange Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel, Fillable Frames #9 Die from Papertrey Ink

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

A couple more Hallowe'en cards

Just a couple more Hallowe'en cards from today's crafting session.

This first one is for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #183 for the sketch, Cupcake Craft Challenge #160 to use black and purple and for Papertake Weekly's Challenge Creature Comforts. This is one of my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and it is such a fab Hallowe'en stamp!

Recipe:
Stamps: Kreepy Kitty from Kraftin' Kimmie
Papers: Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Cast-A-Spell DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copics White
Inks: Perfect Plum from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Card Candi from Craftworks Cards, Ribbon from Doodlebug

And my last Hallowe'en card for today is for Farm Fresh Friday's Hallowe'en Challenge, SC351 for the sketch and CC341 to use Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. Not traditional colours for a Hallowe'en card I know, but I love how this one came out!

Recipe:
Stamps: Spooktacular from The Greeting Farm
Papers: Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Cast-A-Spell DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copics White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, tempting Turquoise (both retired in the UK atm) from Stampin' Up, Spider Brads from Making Memories

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Sharing on a Sunday

I've got a couple of girly cards and a couple of men's card on this post for you.

This first one is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #3 for September and for Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #89 to be inspired by the divine looking cupcakes photo.

Recipe:
Stamps: Carpe Cupcake, Framed Wishes, Fancy Florals Remixed all from Verve Stamps
Papers: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso both from Stampin' Up, Basic Gray Carpella Patterned Papers, White from stash (trying to use all my old cheapy stuff up!)
Inks: Early Espresso from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Early Espresso Satin Ribbon from Stampin' Up, Button from stash, Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel

My next card is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #85 to just add baby, Play Date Café's Challenge #99 to use white, lilac and lemon and for Papertrey Princess Mara's challenge to use a banner. I don't have any PTI baby sets so a banner is an ideal way round that one! This is the colour swatch from Play Date Café.

And here's my card for it.

Recipe:
Stamps: Banner Builder, Outlines Alphabet both from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Pale Plum (retired), Perfect Plum both from Stampin' Up, Springtime Patterned Paper from Echo Park, White Hammered Card from stash
Inks: Pale Plum (retired) from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Sizzlits Beautiful Wings Embosslit from Stampin' Up, Pearls from Papermania, Banner Builder Dies from Papertrey Ink

My next one is for Color Throwdown's Challenge #159 to use Pacific Point, Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black and for old Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #25 for the sketch.

Recipe:
Stamps: Motorcycle, Curly Cute both from Stampin' Up
Papers: Pacific Point cs & DSP from Brights Stack, Cherry Cobbler cs & DSP from Regals Stack, Basic Black, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Basic Black, Pacific Point, SU Markers in Basic Black, Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Sizzlits Sweet Buttons Embosslit Die

And my final card for today is for The Shabby Tea Room's Challenge #79 to make a masculine card using the colours inspired by the photo below. I wanted to use stripes to represent the books and when I saw this sketch in my Waltzing Mouse sketches to do file (Sketch Challenge #16), I knew I just had to use it!

This is the inspiration photo

And this is my card for it

Recipe:
Stamps: Birthday Bash Sentiments from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Really Rust (retired), Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Seaside Collection Patterned Papers from Kaisercraft
Inks: Basic Black from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Silver brads from stash

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

More Oranges

As it's coming up to Hallowe'en soon (ok in about 6 weeks, but I send out loads of cards so have to start early!) I'll be making lots of orangey cards, so here's a few for you!

My first one is for SC350 for the sketch, Papertake Weekly's Things with Wings Challenge, Papertrey Princess Leigh's Challenge to use 2 different patterned papers and for Make It Monday's Challenge #32 to use acrylic paint. I used white acrylic paint to add the wings and faces to my little bats and the stars in the background. Thinking about it now I really should have chosen a different patterned paper as I have 2 layers virtually the same, but initially my bats were going to be just on white card, but they looked wrong. Nevermind, I still like it!

Recipe:
Stamps: Hallowe'en Treats & Sweets, Wise Owl both from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Only Orange (retired), Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Halloween Prints Patterned Papers from Papertrey Ink, Copics White
Inks: Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray all from Stampin' Up
Accessories: White Acrylic Paint, Hallowe'en Treats & Sweets Dies from Papertrey Ink

My next card is another Hallowe'en one using Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #65. I absolutely LOVE this card - love the curvy bottom using Labels 14 Nesties and the dark brayered sky too. And the sentiment from this set is just perfect for this stamp, don't you think?

Recipe:
Stamps: Gracie at Hallowe'en from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: Only Orange (retired), Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Copics White, Apothecary Emporium Patterned Papers from Echo Park
Inks: Barely Banana (retired), Sahara Sand, Basic Gray, Basic Black all from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: True Black Button from Papertrey Ink, Orange Twine from The Ribbon Reel, Scallop Edge Border Punch from Stampin' Up, Labels 14 and Circle Nestabilities

My next card is not a Hallowe'en one, but it has orange on it - well ok Peach, but that's kind of orange right?! This is for CC340 to use Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Pool Party and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #182 Anything Goes. I also used old Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #26 for the sketch. I bought some Kraftin' Kimmie Hallowe'en stamps last week and added a non-Hallowe'en one too and these are just gorgeous to stamp and colour in. Yet another addiction to add to the pile I guess!

Recipe:
Stamps: Rebecca Raspberry from Krafin' Kimmie Stamps
Papers: Peach Parfait cs & DSP from hostess pack, Poppy Parade cs & DSP from hostess pack, Pool Party all from Stampin' Up, Copics White
Inks: Poppy Parade from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Sizzix Sweet Buttons Embosslit

And my final card is a Fall card rather than a Hallowe'en one. I like this idea of the different coloured leaves and rectangles that I came up with (I'm sure I must have seen something similar on the 'Net somewhere but no idea where so if I have inadvertently CASEd you, let me know so I can credit you properly!). I do think I should have embossed each panel though as they look a bit plain now I look at it again. Anyway this one is for Friday MashUp's Challenge #24 to make a fall card and/or use yellow and orange. Mine started off with the yellow and orange and as I added more and more green I didn't feel it quite met that bit of the challenge. I used CC339 to use Always Artichoke, So Saffron and Cajun Craze and for old Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #119.

Recipe:
Stamps: Friendship Jar Fall Fillers from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Cajun Craze cs & DSP from Regals Stack, So Saffron cs & DSP (retired), Always Artichoke all from Stampin' Up, White scraps from stash
Inks: Cajun Craze from Stampin' Up
Accessories: So Saffron striped Ribbon (retired), Sizzlits Little Leaves Die, Linen Thread all from Stampin' Up, Circle Nestabilities, Buttons from Elzybells

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Sharing on a Sunday Once More

It's Sunday again which means it's back to work tomorrow - boo hoo, but I also have a few cards to share too!

This first one is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #64, which I deviated from a bit, but you can see the basic sketch in there (I hope!) and for CR84FN38 to use bright pink, black and grey. I love this combo!

This is the swatch from CR84FN

And here's my card for it. Excuse the splodges of ink as well!

Recipe:
Stamps: Cameo To Go, Cameo Makers both from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, Basic Black all from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Melon Mambo Button both from Stampin' Up, Gems from eBay, Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel

My next card is for Play Date Café's Challenge #98 to use navy, teal and mustard (well I interpreted that colour to be mustard, but it could have been more yellowy too) and Cupcake Craft Challenge #58 to use a patchwork quilt. I love making these quilted top die notes and these colours were great for a masculine twist on it too.

Recipe:

Stamps: Afterthoughts from Stampin' Up

Papers: Night of Navy cs & DSP from retired hostess pack, More Mustard cs & DSP from retired hostess pack, Taken With teal (retired), Whisper White, sweet Pea DSP Pack (retired) all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Night of navy from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Night of navy Ribbon, Top Note Die, More Mustard buttons (retired) all from Stampin' Up

And my final card for today is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #84 to use white and one other colour - I chose Soft Sky for a pretty little winter card! I also used Farm Fresh Friday's You're Hot and You're Cold Challenge and Taylored Expressions old sketch challenge #23.  I actually had to set up a spreadsheet this morning for all my TGF stamps as I have so many of them now I didn't even realise that I had this one in my collection! And I have 2 Sweet Anya's if anyone wants to buy one! LMAO And my sentiment does stand out much better IRL than it does in the photo!

Recipe:

Stamps: Beanie Anya from The Greeting Farm, Boxes, Bags and Tags, Signature Christmas both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Confetti White, Soft Sky cs & DSP (both retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copics White
Inks: Soft Sky (retired) from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Argyle Embossing Folder, Tilda Lace Border Die from Magnolia, Ribbon from stash, Heart brads from Papermania

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Oranges and Pinks

Managed to squeeze some crafting time in today after sorting out my crafting stuff on my new Ikea unit. It's still not exactly the way I want it, but I have to keep using it to see what works and what doesn't in terms of where I've stored things. (And I have way too much stuff to fit on it all and could really do with another one in the same size - I bought the 4x4 Expedit cube unit!)

Anyway on to the cards...My first card is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for September and for Color Throwdown's Challenge #158 to use Island Indigo (all my new in colors arrived the other day and they are lovely! Can't wait to get my hands on the new ribbon as well though!), Peach Parfait, Basic Gray and light gray. An odd combo but the colours work so well together!

Recipe:
Stamps: Dream Big, Fancy Florals Remixed both from Verve Stamps
Papers: Island Indigo, Going Gray (retired), Very Vanilla, Peach Parfait DSP from hostess pack, Nouveau Chic DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Island Indigo, Basic Gray both from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Peach Parfait Ribbon, Large and Small Tag Punches all from Stampin' Up, Circle Nestabilities, orange Zest Button from Papertrey Ink

My next orange card is for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #146, Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #88 to use Concord Crush, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Certainly Celery and for Free For All Challenge #81 to use paper piecing. I decided to paper piece my flowers in 2 different patterned papers for each colour and I love how they came out.

Recipe:
Stamps: Growing Green from Stampin' Up
Papers: Certainly Celery cs & DSP (retired), Concord Crush cs & DSP from hostess pack, Whisper White, Haiku DSP (retired), Sunny Garden DSP all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Basic Black from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Certainly Celery Ribbon both from Stampin' Up, Gems from eBay

And my next one is for SC349 for the sketch, Make It Monday's Challenge #31 to use non-background stamps to make a background, Shabby Tea Room's Challenge #78 to make a pink wedding card and A Passion For Papertrey's Challenge Design Team Inspiration, which was to be inspired by a card from the PTI DT. An easy one really as there's so much to be inspired by. I chose this card by Nichole from last month's release. I just love how stunning the black and white stamping look on a bright coloured piece of cs.

Recipe:
Stamps: Turning A New Leaf, Botanical Silhouettes, Wonderful Words Additions, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers all from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Confetti White, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Raspberry Fizz from Papertrey Ink
Inks: Basic Black, Whisper White both from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Wonderful Words Die from Papertrey Ink, Eyelet Border Punch from Stampin' Up

And my last card for today is for Just Magnolia's Sketch Challenge #23, Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #181 to use something you find in an office (I hope my mini bulldog clip counts!), Colour Create's Challenge #77 to use pink, brown, cream and white and for Friday Mash Up's Challenge #23 to use stitching and or a back to school/teacher's gift. I just went with the stitching today as I'm already shattered from the first week back at school and still have a huge ton of work to do! And I haven't taught a full week yet! LMAO

Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Daffodil from Magnolia, Signature Series: Dress Form from Papertrey Ink
Papers: Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso both from Stampin' Up, Copics White, Girly Polka Dots Papers from Wild Rose Studio
Inks: Early Espresso ink and marker from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Corner Rounding Punch (that has now broken and doesn't punch all the way round the corners! GRRRR!!!), Lace from Cuddly Buddly, Flowers Embossing Folder, Tag from Martha Stewart, Brown flowers from Hero Arts (I think), Roses from Hobbycraft, Early Espresso Ribbon, Mini Bulldog Clip both from Stampin' Up

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Way too late on Wednesday!

These were cards I actually made on Sunday but hadn't gotten round to blogging! I've been doing school stuff, getting my classroom ready for when the kids came back today (I was so not ready and still have SOOOOOO much stuff to do!)!

Anyway...my first card is for Mojo Challenge #206, which I'm too late for now, but hey-ho! I also used Just Magnolia's Anything Goes Challenge with the option of circles and CR84FN's Challenge #37 to use light blue, turquoise and neutrals. River Rock was my choice for neutrals and it works so well with the blues, don't you think?

Think is the swatch from CR84FN37...

...and here's my take on these colours...

Recipe:

Stamps: Skateboard Tilda from Magnolia, Skater Dude from Papertrey Ink

Papers: River Rock, Whisper White both from Stampin' Up, Copics White, Spotty Patterned Paper from Echo Park's Springtime Pack, Other Patterned Paper from my Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hazel Pack, Circle Card Blank from Anita's

Inks: Tempting Turquoise from Stampin' Up, memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, River Rock Ribbon (retired) both from Stampin' Up, Crystal Stem from magnolia (first time I have ever used these and I kind of like it!), Paper Roses from eBay, Buttons from Papermania

My next card is for Papertake Weekly's Challenge Anything Goes (OK strictly speaking this was for their sketch challenge last week, but I didn't upload it in time so as it fits this challenge too I thought I would use it for that as well!)  and Color Throwdown's Challenge #157 (which I'm very late for as well!) to use Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgundy and Lucky Limeade, which I had to sub with Kiwi Kiss as mine isn't here yet. This is the first time I have used my Marci stamps - I bought 2 a while ago from my local craft store and haven't used either and she is just so cute! I can feel another addiction coming on...

Recipe:

Stamps: Darling Marci from La-La Land Crafts, Delightful Dahlias from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist cs and DSP from Subtles Pack, Bella Bleu DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copics White

Inks: Bravo Burgundy from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Kiwi Kiss Ribbon (retired) from Stampin' Up, Primas and other paper flowers from stash, Brads from Papermania

And my final card for today is another Hallowe'en card! This one is for Friday MashUp's Challenge #22 to use a gatefold card and/or numbers and for Farm Fresh Friday's Challenge By The Numbers. OK my use of numbers is quite small (on the DSP and greeting) but they are still there! I used some of my gorgeous new Fancy Pants Oct 31 pack but the left hand side of the sheet was blank so I used my spiders and web to add a bit more to it and I love how this one came out! It's a 5 inch square gatefold and a perfect size for Hallowe'en!

Recipe:

Stamps: Tuesday from The Greeting Farm, Friendship Jar Fall Fillers, Halloween Treats and Sweets both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Sahara Sand, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Oct 31 Patterned Paper from Fancy Pants, Copics White

Inks: Basic Black from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Labels 4 Nestabilities, Purple Ribbon from stash, Gems from Stampin' Up

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by! I'll have to try and be a bit more organised this weekend, but I've just had a new Ikea unit put together for all my crafting stuff and I now have to find the time to sort it all out! And I have a LOT!!!

Turning to Autumn

It's coming to that time of year again. It's getting colder (although I can't say we've had a great deal of hot summery weather here in the UK this year!), school starts next week and it's time for me to start making my Hallowe'en cards. I absolutely LOVE Hallowe'en - it's my fave holiday of the year. I just adore all the witches, bats, ghosts, spiders and pumpkins and I always send out cards and give out little Hallowe'en gifts!

This first card is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #63 for the layout. I chose the colours to match my DSP scraps which was perfect for this sketch. I don't know what it is about Basic Grey Patterned Papers, but they always make me want to distress them!

Recipe:
Stamps: Cicely At Halloween from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: Only Orange (retired), Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Basic Grey Eerie Patterned Paper Pack, Copics White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Ribbon from Stash, Doily Details Die from Papertrey Ink

My next card is for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #145 for the layout and again I used the colours form my patterned papers. This time I used the gorgeous new Oct 31 pack from Fancy Pants!

Recipe:
Stamps: Punchy Potions from Taylored Expressions, Cicely At Halloween from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: Sahara Sand, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Oct 31 Patterned Paper Pack from Fancy Pants, Copics White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Perfect Plum from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Photo Corners Punch from Stampin' Up, Card Candi from Craftworks Cards, Bat Button from stash

An my final card for today is not a Hallowe'en card, but an Autumn card instead. This one is for Make It Monday's Challenge #30 to use colouring pencils instead of Copics or other markers. I only have my Stampin' Up watercolour pencils, so I actually ended up watercolouring to get a smoother finish. This card is totally inspired by Jennifer's card, even using the same stamp set! I have to say I much prefer the look of Copics that colouring pencils though! I used SC348 for the sketch and am also entering this card in Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #'180 to use punches.

Recipe:
Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Fall Fillers, Turning A New Leaf all from Papertrey Ink, En Francais from Stampin' Up
Papers: Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Dusty Durango (retired), Very Vanilla all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Watercolour Pencils, Always Artichoke, Dusty Durango (retired), More Mustard all from Stampin' Up, Versamark
Accessories: Double Loops Border Punch from Martha Stewart, Dusty Durango Ribbon (retired), Clear Embossing Powder both from Stampin' Up, Victorian Fleur Embossing Folder from Papermania

And that's all from me today folks! I'm back at work as from next week, so back to my usual weekend schedule of combining a million challenges at once LMAO! Thanks for stopping by!

A Pair of Flowers

Just a couple of flowery cards that I made today.

This first one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #83 for the sketch, The Shabby Tea Room's Challenge #77 to use your birthstone colour - my birthday is in July so my birthstone is Ruby. I don't especially like rubies (much prefer pink sapphires!). I also used Play Date Café's Challenge #97 to use black, white and a splash of red and  Free For All's Challenge #79 to stack something. My flower has 5 layers on it - the black dots are actually on a sheet of acetate which I layered over the Cherry Cobbler in the same size.

Recipe:

Stamps: Birthday Bash Sentiments from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Night & Day DSP (retired) both from Stampin' Up, Black Glitter Card from Stash, White Hammered Card from Stash

Inks: Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Beautiful Blooms Dies #1, True Black Buttons, Doily Details Dies, Limited Layers 1 3/4" Circle Die all from Papertrey Ink, White Buttons from Elzybells, Ribbon from Stash, Cherry Cobbler Button from Stampin' Up

My other flowery card is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #1 for September and CC338 to use Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral (which I don't have just yet, but has now been ordered, so I used Cameo Coral instead) and More Mustard. What a nice bright combo this one turned out to be. And on another good note, guess who won the Viva La Verve prize for completing all of August sketches?? Yep, yours truly! What a fantastic way to end my summer holidays! So this card is dedicated to all the Verve Divas for their fantastic sketches each week and to Julee Tilman for such a great prize. Can't wait for it to arrive on my doorstep!

Recipe:

Stamps: Dream Big, Petals & Stems both from Verve, Mat Stack 2 Collection from Papertrey Ink

Papers: More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Flamingo DSP (retired) all from Stampin' Up, White Hammered Card from Stash (trying to use this pile of old card up!)

Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Cameo Coral (retired) both from Stampin' Up

Accessories: More Mustard Ribbon (retired) from Stampin' Up, Mat Stack 2 Die, 1 3/4" Limited Layers Circles Collection both from Papertrey Ink

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Scene It Sunday #180 Featuring Fore You from Di's Digi Stamps

Good morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday. This week I have used this cute golfing mice image from Di's Digi Stamps, ...
