Turning to Autumn

It's coming to that time of year again. It's getting colder (although I can't say we've had a great deal of hot summery weather here in the UK this year!), school starts next week and it's time for me to start making my Hallowe'en cards. I absolutely LOVE Hallowe'en - it's my fave holiday of the year. I just adore all the witches, bats, ghosts, spiders and pumpkins and I always send out cards and give out little Hallowe'en gifts!

This first card is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #63 for the layout. I chose the colours to match my DSP scraps which was perfect for this sketch. I don't know what it is about Basic Grey Patterned Papers, but they always make me want to distress them!

Recipe:
Stamps: Cicely At Halloween from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: Only Orange (retired), Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Basic Grey Eerie Patterned Paper Pack, Copics White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: Ribbon from Stash, Doily Details Die from Papertrey Ink

My next card is for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #145 for the layout and again I used the colours form my patterned papers. This time I used the gorgeous new Oct 31 pack from Fancy Pants!

Recipe:
Stamps: Punchy Potions from Taylored Expressions, Cicely At Halloween from Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Papers: Sahara Sand, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Oct 31 Patterned Paper Pack from Fancy Pants, Copics White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Perfect Plum from Stampin' Up
Accessories: Photo Corners Punch from Stampin' Up, Card Candi from Craftworks Cards, Bat Button from stash

An my final card for today is not a Hallowe'en card, but an Autumn card instead. This one is for Make It Monday's Challenge #30 to use colouring pencils instead of Copics or other markers. I only have my Stampin' Up watercolour pencils, so I actually ended up watercolouring to get a smoother finish. This card is totally inspired by Jennifer's card, even using the same stamp set! I have to say I much prefer the look of Copics that colouring pencils though! I used SC348 for the sketch and am also entering this card in Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #'180 to use punches.

Recipe:
Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Fall Fillers, Turning A New Leaf all from Papertrey Ink, En Francais from Stampin' Up
Papers: Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Dusty Durango (retired), Very Vanilla all from Stampin' Up
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Watercolour Pencils, Always Artichoke, Dusty Durango (retired), More Mustard all from Stampin' Up, Versamark
Accessories: Double Loops Border Punch from Martha Stewart, Dusty Durango Ribbon (retired), Clear Embossing Powder both from Stampin' Up, Victorian Fleur Embossing Folder from Papermania

And that's all from me today folks! I'm back at work as from next week, so back to my usual weekend schedule of combining a million challenges at once LMAO! Thanks for stopping by!
