Mellow Yellow

Just a couple of yellow-y cards I made today. Yellow's not usually I colour I go for, but I do actually quite like it, although you wouldn't see me wearing it ever! It's one of those happy colours that always cheer me up!

This first card is for SC389 for the sketch, Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #128 to make a CAS card and for Friday MashUp's Challenge #63 to do some paper piecing and/or use Rich Razzleberry, pool Party and Daffodil Delight. What a gorgeous colour combo this one turned out to be. I wasn't so sure at first, but it's fab! I paper pieced my flower using retired Sunny Garden DSP and Rich Razzleberry cardstock and the dark centre really is stunning against the paler yellow petals!

And my other yellow card is for SUO Challenge #47 to include some fancy frills. I think my gazillion rows of punched borders are frilly enough, don't you?! This is also for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #221 to use punches and for Color Throwdown's Challenge #196 to use these gorgeous soft colours. I just love pale yellow, pale blue and kraft together!

And here's my card.

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

  12. Your card is great! It is true the Razzleberry centre makes the difference because it creates a big contrast with the yellow flower and makes it the focal point. Great job! Thanks for playing along with us at the Friday Mashup this week.
