New Catty Inspirations

This week's challenge #172 at Just Add Ink is to use the new Stampin' Up catalogue front cover as inspiration for a card. I took the colours and the idea of banner behind a frame for my card and used SC443 for the sketch as well. (But just realised I have stuck my strips on the wrong way round - oh well!)

And here's my card. Trying very hard to use up some of the heaps of DSP I still have left over! Won't be buying any of the new stacks for a while other than the new in-color one!

Recipe:

Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, Notably Ornate, Perfectly Penned, Hearts A Flutter all from Stampin' Up

Papers: Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White, Brights DSP Stack (Retired), In Colors 2012 - 14 DSP Stack (Retired), Subtles DSP Stack (Retired) all from Stampin' Up

Inks: Real Red, So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar, Pool Party all from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Hearts A Flutter Dies, Pearls both from Stampin' Up

And that's all from me for this card folks! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Vanessa, I hear you about all the scraps of DSP! I love how you have used the frame to show off the banner, the little flower down the bottom and the strips that incorporate the strips from the catalogue too! Beautiful, bright and happy, just like the catalogue! xx

  4. These colours are fantastic - I do like how your banners fit inside your frame. A great interpretation of the Catalogue cover.
