House of Cards Inspiration Challenge

Every month that there is a fifth Monday, we have a special extra challenge for you over on the House of Cards Challenge Blog. It is an inspiration challenge but this week you can choose which of the four card making styles you want to use for it.

Here is this month's inspiration photo...

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #18 Guest Designer!

At the end of challenge #16 on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog, I was invited to be their next guest designer and I have to admit I squealed with delight when I saw my name and card on their blog page! So I thought about it for ooh just a millisecond before sending the email off to Manderly to say yes!
I was given the gorgeous Candi Corn Sticky Wings digi stamp to work with for this week's challenge #18 which is Trick n Treat with stitching, either real or faux (I went with the faux as I cannot sew in straight lines at all!). I absolutely love her - she just gorgeous and was on my wishlist for payday as it was. Manderly said I could make anything I wanted, so I decided on a little Hallowe'en card and gift box set.

Here's my cute card...

And the matching gift box...

And together...

Thank you so much to Heather, manderly and all the other Lacy Sunshine girls for having me as their guest designer this week. I had loads of fun creating this Hallowe'en set!

Lavender Lil Muffy Mopsy

This card is for My Besties Challenge to use Lavender, which on its own is not a colour I tend to choose, but I mixed it up with a bit of plum and really like how this one came out. This is also for Scrapbook Stamp Society's Challenge #20 Anything Goes and add 3 buttons and for Charisma Cardz Challenge #38 to decorate the inside of your card.

And here's the outside with the cute Lil Muffy Mopsy...

Butterfly Flourish

I generally don't buy those cheap £1 stamps you get in the local craft store, but I was buying some for the kids at school to use in my after school card making club (they don't get to use my own expensive stamps!) and really liked this butterfly flourish one so bought one for the kids as well as myself. It actually stamps quite well, just doesn't emboss too well as there is so much detail in the actual flourish. Might try using it again with just plain stamping next time.

Anyway this card is for ColourQ's Challenge #208 with one of my fave combos, SC454 for the sketch and Just Add Ink's Challenge #184 to use bows.

And here's my card with lots of dots!

Recipe:

Stamps: Six Sided Sampler from Stampin' Up, Butterfly Flourish from Hobbycraft

Papers: Raspberry Ripple, Confetti White, Night & Day DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Blue Tulips???

Do you get blue tulips? I honestly have no idea (not a big flower person to be honest), but mine are blue so I guess you must do :P This card is for Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge #312 and for Color Throwdown's Challenge #261 to use this bright combo, which is not my usual choice of colours, but I do quite like it for a different flower and butterfly card.

And here's my card...

I still have a few new goodies that I haven't yet used (Think it might actually be a bit more than just a few though!), so pulled one of my new stamp sets and dies out today to mix with some older/not so new stuff! This card is for Mojo Monday's Challenge #311 for the sketch and for Color Throwdown's Challenge #260 to use this pretty colour combo.

This one is also for Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #202 - Dotty. I think I have plenty of dots on this one!

This one is for Lacy Sunshine's Challenge #17 Under The Sea and their challenge digi this fortnight is the beautiful Pearl from the new Seakissed Mermaid Collection, which I got for free as I used a Lacy Sunshine image in their last challenge. Gotta love me some freebies, especially pretty ones! This is also for Fussy and Fancy's Challenge #98 to use die cuts or punches - I used quite a few die cuts on this one! - and for Crafty Little Fairies Challenge to create a numbered birthday card.

And here's my card with the tag in...

And with the tag out...Thought I would put the 40th birthday on a hidden tag just in case she didn't want everyone to know!
