Butterfly Ethereal Enchantress - Made just for me!

Heather Valentin of Lacy Sunshine keeps growing her gorgeous new collection of Ethereal Enchantresses and was offering a custom made one and I just had to have one this time as I missed out on the last ones she offered. I asked for lots of butterflies with butterfly wings and look at the gorgeous beauty she drew up! Isn't she just absolutely fabulous?! Butterfly Enchantress is exactly what I wanted and just perfect!

I went for a purple colour scheme today and added lots of butterfly die cuts from my Silhouette machine! I;m going to enter this one into The Outlawz Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge which is an Anything Goes one this week.

Christmas Flower Ellie

My final card from today's crafting session is another Christmas one to add to my pile! And here she is... I know poinsettias are usually red, but I opted for a pale blue instead to keep with the colours of the card. (And I completely forgot to add glitter to her hat so will do that later but it's too dark for another photo right now, so will photograph it tomorrow and change it!)

Thank you from Sarah Sanderson

I will be completely honest with you all I had no idea who Sarah Sanderson was! I bought this stamp from Sassy Studio a little while back because I liked her dress! So I have just Googled her and found out that she's a character in Hocus Pocus, which I think I have maybe seen only once! I'm now on a mission to find a copy of it and watch it again so I can see who Sarah Sanderson really is! LOL

Anyway this card is for Dare To Be Sassy Thursday's Challenge #257 to make a thank you card, Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes, Sketch & Stash''s Challenge #152, Through The Craft Room Door's Anything Goes Challenge and Copic Marker Europe's Challenge #34 which is also an Anything Goes one.

A Shy Thank You

I found Alicia Bel's digi stamps a while ago and finally bought some the other week. I got round to joining in their first challenge today using the cute Timida (or Shy in English). She has such wonderful hair to colour! This card is also for In The Pink's Challenge #58 to use die cuts and punches, Fab & Funky's Challenge #239 also to use die cuts, Inky Chicks Challenge #43 to make an easel card and The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I did swap the flowers around though as they wouldn't fit on the bottom left as I printed my image quite large.

And here she is...I'm on a mission to try and use up all my Papertrey Ink stuff at the minute as I don't really buy from them any more. The shipping and customs charges makes it far too expensive to ship to the UK, but I have a lot of their patterned papers and card so am trying to use it up bit by bit!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #184 - Metal, Somewhere, Somehow

Good afternoon and welcome to another challenge from team B over at The Paper Shelter Challenge blog. This week we are challenging you to use metal somewhere in your project. I first thought this would be really hard, but it's quite easy - think charms, brads, eyelets, metal embellishments, bells (perfect for the current season) and so on.

I used the cute and new digi The Most Adorable Snowmen and they really are adorable! I also used the background paper, although I ended up covering most of it up with all my die cute and other bits.

This card is also for The Outlawz Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge to use the theme winter and some metal and Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #263 to use something sparkly/blingy/glittery - think I have that one covered!

The Stamping Chef Challenge #57 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from The Stamping Chef. As always our challenge is an Anything Goes one so pull out your Stamping Chef images, get a colouring and join the challenge!

I used the gorgeous Checking Out For The Year for my card. My MIL loved the card I made here and asked me to duplicate it for my boyfriend's two brothers for their Christmas card, but she can have this one instead. I don't like to make 2 of the same card unless I am deliberately mass producing and I wouldn't do that with these kind of cards  - would take way too long!

Recipe:

Stamps: Checking Out for The Year from The Stamping Chef, Boutique Borders: Christmas from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Nordic Christmas Patterned Papers from First Edition

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to The Stamping Chef Challenge Blog and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and join in the fun whilst you're there too. Remember you don't have to use an image from The Stamping Chef store but you double your chances of winning if you do!

Baby It's Cold Outside

I managed to squeeze in a challenge card today after making my DT cards and had to join in The East Wind's challenge after winning their Facebook challenge this week. I got 3 gorgeous new digis as my prize, but I bought this one just the day before!

This card is for The East Wind's Challenge #19 Baby It's Cold Outside and for 613 Avenue Create's Challenge #99 Anything Goes.

And here she is - her hair didn't really work very well today. It was starting to get dark when I was colouring her and although I have a daylight lamp right over where I was colouring, it wasn't really bright enough (or maybe I actually should have been wearing my glasses which I wasn't doing - naughty me!).

Recipe:

Have You Been Good?

Something different for my last post - another Christmas card. I always think I make enough every year, but I never do so end up making the last few right up to Christmas Eve! I haven't got anywhere near enough yet, so I had better get my skates on!

This card is for Di's Digis Challenge to make a card for a kid (I think this would be perfect for a child's Christmas card, so will go to one of my best friend's 3 children!), Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #257 Jingle Bells, Fairy Tale Challenge #105 Christmas with Animals, Crafty Ribbons Challenge #107 Animals at Christmas time with ribbon, Aud Sentiments Challenge #120 Use a sentiment for any December Holiday and for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge Anything Goes.

Poppy Ethereal Enchantress

Have you seen the gorgeous new collection from Heather Valentin @Lacy Sunshine Stamps yet? She has created such a fabulous new range of beautiful fairies in various different poses and styles. I have a fair few of them, being lucky to receive a couple as part of the Lacy Sunshine DT and I also bought a few more with the flash sale that Heather had this week.

This card is for Polkadoodles Challenge #47 and In The Pink's Challenge #57 both of which asked you to make a CAS card. I don't do CAS very well - I like my layers and die cuts too much to do clean and simple, so this is as CAS as I can go! I'm also entering this into Fab 'n' Funky's Birthday Challenge Week 2 and Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #287 to use fairies.

And here she is...Isn't she just beautiful?!

Falling Leaves

Sassy Studio Designs are also having a Facebook challenge, but this one is a progressive challenge, in which you have to use the given digi stamp to be able to qualify for the next challenge. This month's uses the cute Falling Leaves - a perfect Autumn image! I finally got round to colouring her up this week and made her into a card today.

This card is also for Dare To Be Sassy Thursday's Challenge #256 to use leaves, Scrapper's Delight's Challenge #36 Anything Goes and A Creative Romance's Challenge to use something old. The patterned papers I have had for at least 3-4 years if not more. They came from 2 different SU sets that I wasn't  actually that keen on once I opened them so I still have most of them left! The yellow card also retired from SU when they had their big colour renovation about 4 years ago, so quite a bit of old stuff there.

And here she is...

Thankful For You

Simply B Stamps are having a challenge on their Facebook page at the minute. You have to use their Thankful For You Betty image, use fall colours, add lots of pleats to her skirt and bustle and use the sentiment in a frame. I thought I would have a go, although I'm not very confident in adding my own pleats. I have signed up for the clothing colouring class from Kit and Clowder, but haven't yet started so I'm not totally sure if I have the pleats in the right places.

This card is also for Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #24 Grateful and for Crafty Little Fairies November challenge to not use a square. I used a rectangle for my card base, so not overly inventive, but it's still not a square LOL!

And here she is...I used purple, green and gold as my fall colours and I do quite like this combo, although it's not one I would have chosen myself.

Recipe:

Stamps: Thankful For You Betty from Simply B Stamps, Fancy Flourishes from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Subtles DSP Stack (Retired), Rich Razzleberry Prints DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #337 with Bugaboo

Good morning and welcome to my post for the latest Sketch Saturday Challenge #337.

We have one of our favourites joining us as sponsor this week - Bugaboo Stamps.

The super prize offered this week is 7 Bugaboo digital stamps of the winner's choice.

And here is sketch #337, designed by Debra

And here's my take on it, using Snow Globe Santa's Sled from Bugaboo. after colouring and add glitter for the snow, I covered the whole snow globe part with Crystal Effects (like glossy accents) to give it a glassy, shiny look like a real snow globe.

Recipe:

Art by MiRan Facebook Group Challenge #2 for November

Good afternoon and happy Friday! It's time for another challenge over on the Art by MiRan Facebook Group and this fortnight is our second challenge of the month so it must be an Anything Goes challenge.

This time I have chosen to use the newly released gorgeous Ice Skater Macy for another wintery card. I like to send out a range of traditional Christmas and non-traditional winter cards as I have lots of friends and work colleagues who do not celebrate Christmas but still celebrate the season.

I also managed to use my hardly-used ice skate stamp and die that I brought about 3 years ago and had to have, but I think have maybe used only once or twice. Perfect embellishment for this image by Art by MiRan, don't you think?!

Merry Christmas from an Autumn Girl

All Dressed Up are having a DT call and although I'm not sure I'm anywhere near good enough compared to the level of their current DT, I thought I would give it a go as I totally love their images and would love to be part of their team! I am also entering this card into their Anything Goes Challenge #25.

This card is also for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, which is also an Anything Goes challenge, for Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge, also an anything goes one, Live & Love Crafts Challenge #29 Favourite Christmas Combo (I have 2 faves - red, brown and white or pink, silver and white. I went with the red one on this card.) and for Creative Inspirations Challenge #29 Anything Goes (I didn't use the sketch this time).

And here she is...I used one of the Little Autumn Girls, but coloured her up in Christmas-sy colours. See my new snowflake dies! I finally caved in and told myself I needed more snowflake dies and just had to buy these gorgeous ones from Joy Crafts!
