Lacy Sunshine Inspiration Post and Goodbye

Good Morning and welcome to my final DT post for Lacy Sunshine. I have decided to step down from the Lacy Sunshine Design Team at the end of this month. I have been on the team since August 2014, so about 18 months now, but I fancy a change and feel that I have achieved everything I wanted to with Lacy Sunshine.

I want to say a little thank you to Heather and Audrey for inviting me to be a guest designer initially and then a full time DT member all those months ago. Thank you to the rest of the design team ladies for all their inspiration, creativity and friendship too. I will miss them all, but think it is now time for me to move on. I will always love these images and will continue to use them and I have a huge folder full of them all printed out ready to go, so you will still be seeing my cards using these gorgeous girls and boys!

Faery Ink Inspiration Post - Amber Postal Punk

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink for this month's new releases. I hope you have loved seeing all the new images again this month and the fabulous creations from the DT.

I chose to work with Amber Postal Punk, one of the steampunk images this time. I really like the look of steampunk, but it's another of those styles that I have very little resources for and one that does not come naturally to me. So anyway...I made it my mission to make my very first mixed media steampunk canvas this month and watched a few YouTube videos on the how tos. I bought a cheap canvas from Poundland and it was actually really good value - worked perfectly fine to me, so will definitely be going back to get me some more!

I came up with this. It did take me hours and I hated being so messy and dirty (I'm too OCD about being clean for all the ink going everywhere!). Even tried wearing Latex gloves, but they just felt weird whilst crafting! But.....I absolutely love this and had loads of fun making it! Might not be proper steampunk, but it's my version and I love it! Looks so much more shimmery in real life too, but the camera wouldn't pick that up.

This canvas is also for
Polkadoodles Week 8 Tic-Tac-Toe (I used the first column of charms polka dots and wings)

Faery Ink One Day Fae Giveaway

Good Morning and welcome to my post to share with you the fabulous new image for today's One Day Fae Giveaway from Faery Ink. Each month Manda very generously gives away one of her beautiful faery images for free, but only for one day and you definitely want to get your hands on this month's!

This month's image is called Bella Spring Magic - isn't she stunning?! I decided to go for an aqua, silver and white combo with a tiny touch of pink! I tend to go for pinks and purples, so asked my boyfriend for a colour and he came up with teal and then decided that her dress wasn't bright enough for teal, although it is more green in real life than in the photo. What does he know about colours?! LOL

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. As I just love so many of Ching-Chou's Christmas images, I have a really good excuse to use one! LOL

BeckaB Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome to my post for a new challenge blog, BeckaB Challenge Blog. I was invited to join the challenge blog by Becka a couple of months ago and the day of going live has finally arrived. Becka owns a craft store in the Isle of Wight and sells an ever increasing range of crafting goodies and is the only UK supplies of The Paper Nest Dolls stamps! Almost all of the supplies used on my project today are from Becka's store.

Grab Our Badge

Our first challenge is a colour combo AND a bingo board and we would like you to combine the two to make a project. Just pick a minimum of three colours from the colour palette and either a row, column or diagonal line from the bingo board.

I chose to use a light and dark purple with a light blue and combined those colours with the middle column of flower, image and tag. I used the adorable Boho Chic Avery stamp from The Paper Nest Dolls for this tag.

Conie Fong DT Call Using Raining Hearts

I thought I would take a chance and apply for the Conie Fong DT call that has just been released. I love Conie's images and used quite a few of them when I was on the Outlawz Friday Colouring Challenge DT last year as Sweet Pea Stamps, that used to sell Conie's images, were regular sponsor of the challenges. I love her cute little girls as well as the sweet animals too.

I used the adorable Raining Hearts for my card, which was the images I chose for my prize when I came in the top 3 for the January challenge in the Conie Fong Facebook group. I used my fave colour of pink, combined with a lilac purple. This card is typical of my style - lots of layers, lots of pretty die cuts and ribbon!

Here is a photo with the flash, showing all the glitter on the hearts, which doesn't show up on the other photo. You can see why I didn't use it as the flash doesn't like all the glitter LOL

This card is also for

Faery Ink New Release - Destiny Faerilocks

Good Morning and welcome to my post for this month's fabulous new releases over at Faery Ink. boy was I amazed with all these images. They are just stunning and thanks to Manda for giving me this gorgeous faery to use!

I decided to go with a blue, yellow and light brown combo and really couldn't decide what to do. I didn't want to make a card; I wanted to do something different. I thought Destiny looked like she had forgotten something or was trying to remember something and then I had this brainwave to make a To Do List hanging board, found some old A4 thick card from a notepad or something and off I went!

Love how this one came out, although really wanted some of the longer post it notes to add to it, but the only ones I had in the house when I took the photo were illuminous yellow and they really clashed! Must go and get myself some pale yellow ones - will see if I have any at work. I know I have the bright ones on my desk, but not sure what I have hidden in the cupboard!

Surprise for Heather

Hello and welcome to a surprise post from me for Heather Valentin, the creator and owner of Lacy Sunshine Stamps. Unfortunately Heather has not been very well for some time now and the DT all thought it would be a great idea to cheer her up and let her know that we all love her and wish her well. So we all got together and each created a card to send to her.

This was the card I made using the gorgeous Sweet Pea Blooming Beauties image. These, along with the Flower Pot Pretties collection are my faves from Heather, so I just had to use one of them. I made a gatefold card and kept it reasonably flat as I have to post it all the way to the USA.

And here is the inside...
