Lacy Sunshine Inspiration Post and Goodbye

Good Morning and welcome to my final DT post for Lacy Sunshine . I have decided to step down from the Lacy Sunshine Design Team at the end of this month. I have been on the team since August 2014, so about 18 months now, but I fancy a change and feel that I have achieved everything I wanted to with Lacy Sunshine. I want to say a little thank you to Heather and Audrey for inviting me to be a guest designer initially and then a full time DT member all those months ago. Thank you to the rest of the design team ladies for all their inspiration, creativity and friendship too. I will miss them all, but think it is now time for me to move on. I will always love these images and will continue to use them and I have a huge folder full of them all printed out ready to go, so you will still be seeing my cards using these gorgeous girls and boys! Faery Ink Inspiration Post - Amber Postal Punk

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink for this month's new releases. I hope you have loved seeing all the new images again this month and the fabulous creations from the DT. I chose to work with Amber Postal Punk, one of the steampunk images this time. I really like the look of steampunk, but it's another of those styles that I have very little resources for and one that does not come naturally to me. So anyway...I made it my mission to make my very first mixed media steampunk canvas this month and watched a few YouTube videos on the how tos. I bought a cheap canvas from Poundland and it was actually really good value - worked perfectly fine to me, so will definitely be going back to get me some more! I came up with this. It did take me hours and I hated being so messy and dirty (I'm too OCD about being clean for all the ink going everywhere!). Even tried wearing Latex gloves, but they just felt weird whilst crafting! But.....I absolutely love t

Alicia Bel Sponsors Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #349 Princess

Good Morning and welcome to an extra post from me for Alicia Bel this month. Today Alicia Bel are sponsoring the Cupcake Inspiration Princess Challenge and I have made a card to join in with the Cupcake DT. Here's the inspiration picture... And here's my card using the gorgeous Rose stamp. I used the colours for my inspiration - chocolate, pink and vanilla. And don't those cupcakes look good! Shame I wouldn't be allowed to eat them, but I could still be naughty! LOL This card is also for Crafting From The Heart's Challenge #100 Anything Goes Fussy & Fancy's Challenge #158 Shabby Bingo (I used the first column, fussy & fancy, Something Old (my patterned papers), Dreamy & Delicate Colours and Cute image) Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes Craft Your Passion Challenge #300 Anything Goes Crafty Gals Corners Challenge #60 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Rose from Alicia Bel Stamps, Signatur

Art By MiRan Facebook February Anything Goes Challenge

Good evening and welcome to another fabulous challenge from the Art by MiRan Facebook team. This is our Anything Goes monthly challenge and our twist this time, if you choose to accept the challenge, is to make a monochromatic project using one of the gorgeous Art by MiRan images. I chose to use the fabulous Gentleman George for my card for my uncle's 50th birthday a couple of weeks ago. I also used the perfect papers from Tracy Wray's Boys To Men pack, which you can find in the files section of the Art by MiRan Facebook group. I kept this one fairly CAS - men don't really do fussy and fancy in my family! LOL Quite a dapper young gentleman, don't you think?! Faery Ink One Day Fae Giveaway

Good Morning and welcome to my post to share with you the fabulous new image for today's One Day Fae Giveaway from Faery Ink . Each month Manda very generously gives away one of her beautiful faery images for free, but only for one day and you definitely want to get your hands on this month's! This month's image is called Bella Spring Magic - isn't she stunning?! I decided to go for an aqua, silver and white combo with a tiny touch of pink! I tend to go for pinks and purples, so asked my boyfriend for a colour and he came up with teal and then decided that her dress wasn't bright enough for teal, although it is more green in real life than in the photo. What does he know about colours?! LOL This card is also for Glitter 'n' Sparkle's Challenge #176 Anything Goes Inky Chicks Challenge #63 Ribbon and/or Lace Crafting From The Heart Challenge #100 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Bella Spring Magic from Faery Ink Papers: Pool Party,

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Lily in Christmas

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog . I am trying to get at least one Christmas card done each month, so I have a few ready for the occasion after being over 20 short last Christmas. As I just love so many of Ching-Chou's Christmas images, I have a really good excuse to use one! LOL This time I am using Lily in Christmas . Such a beautiful image. I went for traditional red and green this time and used some of my newish fancy dies, which meant I had to keep the embellishments to a bare minimum as there was no room for any really! LOL Recipe: Stamps: Lily in Christmas from Ching-Chou Kuik Stamps, Harvest Berries, Framed Out #8 & Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers all from Papertrey Ink Papers: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White & Holiday Treasures DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place Inks: Real Red & Old Olive both from Stam

The East Wind Lucy Loo Over The Rainbow

I went for a completely different kind of card on this one compared to the Tiddly Inks one I made earlier. I got The Craft Box again this month and the theme this time was steampunk so there were lots of steampunk charms, papers and colours,, so I thought I would use some of them on this card. The East Wind do some fabulous images that work so well for steampunk cards and projects and this gorgeous one of Lucy Loo was perfect. This card is also for The East Wind's Challenge #49 All Dressed Up The Ribbon Girl's February Use Any Image Challenge Creative Craft Cottage's Challenge #58 Use Lace and/or pearls Crafting When We Can Challenge #113 Use A Digital Stamp 613 Avenue Create's Challenge #164 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Over The Rainbow from The East Wind, Fillable Frames #6 from Papertrey Ink Papers: Rich Razzleberry & Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Patterned Papers from Prima (From The Craft Box)

Tiddly Inks Wryn Grow Some Love

I haven't entered a Tiddly Inks challenge for absolutely ages now, so thought I would just their challenge along with a few others. Lacy Sunshine Creative Challenge Fairies/Fantasy

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge at Lacy Sunshine . This month Team B's challenge was to use fairies or fantasy images. I was given this cutie to colour. Her name is Heidi Dazzlebud Briar Whimsie and you can find her here in the Lacy Sunshine store. Not my usual colour combo of choice, but I fancied doing a bright green and yellow card to make it feel a bit like Spring! I actually really like how she came out. Alicia Bel New Release - Thinking of You

Good afternoon and welcome to my post for the new releases from Alicia Bel . they are all just so adorable this month and have a love theme. I chose to use this gorgeous image, Thinking of You, which I think could be used for love/Valentine's Day or birthdays or any occasion really! Love her sweet little face! I used some more of my Valentine's papers, so matched my colours to them again. Must get some different ones, but I do like these! In The Pink Challenge #88 So Cute

Good Morning and welcome to my new DT post for In The Pink . This fortnight we are challenging you to make something cute! I love cutesy images and fairies are always a weakness of mine, so I thought I would create a cute little fairy scene using some of my newish dies (The fairy door die was a Christmas pressie and I hadn't used it until this card!). This gorgeous image was actually the freebie for January from Scrapper's Delights, but I just didn't have time to use her for the challenge - so sorry Janice, but here she is at long last! This card is also for ABC Challenge - B is for you to pick and I pick Birthdays!  Crafting From The Heart Challenge #99 Anything Goes Dream Valley Challenge #99 Sparkle, Bling and Embellish (I have glitter all over the fairy wings, in the corners and on the white spots on the mushrooms too!) The Paper Shelter Challenge #236 Make It Digital

Good Morning and welcome to a new challenge from The Paper Shelter . This week we are challenging you to go digital, so that means digital stamps, digital papers, digital sentiments, even digital colouring if you want! I went with a digi image and digi papers for my card using the gorgeous Penguin Friends. Still trying to add a few cards to my Christmas stash for December! Seems so long away, doesn't it?! I used some digi papers from my lovely friend Tracy that I never got round to using for my Christmas cards last year! This card is also for Digi Choosday's Challenge Week 7 Animals Lemon Shortbread Challenge #9 Anything Goes Crafting by designs Challenge Tic Tac Toe - I used the diagonal line from the bottom left - glitter/bling - free-words/numbers Inspiration Destination Challenge #73 Anything Goes The Crafty Addicts Challenge #9 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Penguin Friends from The Paper Shelter, Banner Sentiments from Joy Crafts Papers: Mar

BeckaB Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome to my post for a new challenge blog, BeckaB Challenge Blog . I was invited to join the challenge blog by Becka a couple of months ago and the day of going live has finally arrived. Becka owns a craft store in the Isle of Wight and sells an ever increasing range of crafting goodies and is the only UK supplies of The Paper Nest Dolls stamps! Almost all of the supplies used on my project today are from Becka's store. Our first challenge is a colour combo AND a bingo board and we would like you to combine the two to make a project. Just pick a minimum of three colours from the colour palette and either a row, column or diagonal line from the bingo board. I chose to use a light and dark purple with a light blue and combined those colours with the middle column of flower, image and tag. I used the adorable Boho Chic Avery stamp from The Paper Nest Dolls for this tag. This tag is also for Creative Craft Cottage Challenge #57 Tag You're It

Conie Fong DT Call Using Raining Hearts

I thought I would take a chance and apply for the Conie Fong DT call that has just been released. I love Conie's images and used quite a few of them when I was on the Outlawz Friday Colouring Challenge DT last year as Sweet Pea Stamps, that used to sell Conie's images, were regular sponsor of the challenges. I love her cute little girls as well as the sweet animals too. I used the adorable Raining Hearts for my card, which was the images I chose for my prize when I came in the top 3 for the January challenge in the Conie Fong Facebook group. I used my fave colour of pink, combined with a lilac purple. This card is typical of my style - lots of layers, lots of pretty die cuts and ribbon! Here is a photo with the flash, showing all the glitter on the hearts, which doesn't show up on the other photo. You can see why I didn't use it as the flash doesn't like all the glitter LOL This card is also for Crafty Ribbons Challenge #143 Animals Deep Ocean Cha

Art by MiRan Facebook Progressive Challenge for February

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new Progressive Challenge over at the Art by MiRan Facebook Group . In case you don't know what a progressive challenge is, here's a quick explanation. You can join in the challenge at any time, but the first image you will need to purchase from the store and there will be a link to this specific image in the challenge post in the fan group. You must use only this image, not any others unless combined with the progressive challenge image. Once you have made your project and uploaded it to the correct album, you will then qualify for the next month's image for FREE! However, if you miss a month, you will have to go back and buy the next image you need. How about that for some fabulous free images from Art by MiRan? This month our gorgeous image is called Phoenix, a beautiful girl and her bird surrounded by lots of feathers. I had a look in my stash and found some gorgeously bright feathers that my lovely friend sent

Faery Ink New Release - Destiny Faerilocks

Good Morning and welcome to my post for this month's fabulous new releases over at Faery Ink . boy was I amazed with all these images. They are just stunning and thanks to Manda for giving me this gorgeous faery to use! I decided to go with a blue, yellow and light brown combo and really couldn't decide what to do. I didn't want to make a card; I wanted to do something different. I thought Destiny looked like she had forgotten something or was trying to remember something and then I had this brainwave to make a To Do List hanging board, found some old A4 thick card from a notepad or something and off I went! Love how this one came out, although really wanted some of the longer post it notes to add to it, but the only ones I had in the house when I took the photo were illuminous yellow and they really clashed! Must go and get myself some pale yellow ones - will see if I have any at work. I know I have the bright ones on my desk, but not sure what I have hidden in the cup

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Love Birds

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog . This week I decided to use the adorable Love Birds image for my card. I just got some new patterned papers and coloured the image to match, although I have covered most of the papers up now with all those embellishments, but hopefully you can still see a bit of them. Isn't she just gorgeous! Love the dreamy look on her face. Surprise for Heather

Hello and welcome to a surprise post from me for Heather Valentin, the creator and owner of Lacy Sunshine Stamps. Unfortunately Heather has not been very well for some time now and the DT all thought it would be a great idea to cheer her up and let her know that we all love her and wish her well. So we all got together and each created a card to send to her. This was the card I made using the gorgeous Sweet Pea Blooming Beauties image. These, along with the Flower Pot Pretties collection are my faves from Heather, so I just had to use one of them. I made a gatefold card and kept it reasonably flat as I have to post it all the way to the USA. And here is the inside... Recipe: Stamps: Sweet Pea Blooming Beauties from Lacy Sunshine Stamps, Over Under Easy from Papertrey Ink Papers: Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz & Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Happy Holiday Patterned Papers from Joy Crafts, Copic X-Press It Blending Card Inks: Wisteria Won

Betty Transfusion

Finally had time to make a card just for fun, no DT challenge or anything! I got this image as part of the Simply B January Progressive Challenge and thought she would be perfect for an alternative Valentine's Day card for my boyfriend. He knows I love my vampires, so he will love this one! I kept this card fairly simple, so all the hearts would stand out. The music paper is there as he plays the guitar, so is my little nod to his obsessions too! All Dressed Up New Release - Pitter Patter Raindrops

Good evening and welcome to my DT post for the new release from All Dressed Up . I chose to use the adorable Pitter Patter Raindrops for my card and decided to go with a yellow, blue and light brown combo, although I did manage to squeeze a touch of pink in there too! Quite a simple card from me this time, but the image was too cute to smother with lots of dies, so just used a few hearts and a couple of bows (an old die I have just rediscovered!) to jazz it up a touch. This card is also for Alphabet Challenge Y is for You Choose (I choose teddies!)
