Di's Digi Designs Challenge Animals Acting Like Humans

Good Morning! Well that's a week of my holiday gone already, but I am very much so looking forward to this week as we are heading off to London to see The Lion King! We have very good seats too, quite close to the front and I can't wait! I have wanted to see this stage show for years and finally had some money spare to pay for these expensive tickets!

Anyway talking of animals, Di's Digi Designs Challenge this week is all about animals acting like humans, so we want to see your images of dogs, cat, bears etc doing things that humans would normally do! I used the adorable Cat and Mouse Cupcake Tower for my card as I have never seen a cat and a mouse carrying a big pile of cupcakes before LOL You can find this cute image on the What's New page of Di's Digi Stamps website.

I have a pad of very bright, glittery papers that are really hard to combine as the colours just don't go with anything else, but they worked really well on this card.

Art by MiRan Facebook Challenge Anything Goes

Hello everyone and happy summer! My summer holidays are finally here, so I now have lots more me time, which means lots more crafting time! Yay!

It's time for the new Anything Goes challenge from the Art by MiRan Facebook team and this month the optional theme is to make your project a girly one! Nice and easy right?! Think pinks, purples, butterflies, flowers, ribbons, lace, anything girly!

I used the gorgeous Spring Blushes for my card, which I have had printed for ages, but thought she was a bit too big for a card, but I found out she wasn't at all! I do think this hot weather is affecting my Copics though as they wouldn't blend properly on this image at all.

Faery Ink New Release - Ophelia in Wonderland as Alice

Good Morning and welcome to another fantastic release from Faery Ink. This month Amanda also continues her fabulous Ophelia in Wonderland collection and this time it is as Alice. I have been toying with the idea of making a rando scrapbook of my colourings/creations instead of making cards all the time and today I am sharing my first entry.

I had loads of fun making this as the size was a bit bigger and I didn't feel like I had to conform to any sort of sensible card sentiments either. Usually I feel that they have to make sense, so that the card can be used (not that most of mine are as they are all stored in boxes!), but I just kind of went with it today!

I just love how this turned out and will definitely be adding more to this scrapbook.

The East Wind and Kit & Clowder 10,000 Event New Release

Yep another post from me for the Kit & Clowder 10, 000 member party. Being on the East Wind DT we got to play with this image, but it was another one I couldn't find my mojo to help me finish yesterday. Luckily she returned to me this morning and I managed to make this card up!

Just how cute is this Super Chunky image?! I coloured her up to look like my kittie Tallulah, who is a Blue British Shorthair and is a blue-ish, purple-ish, grey-ish colour depending on how the light hits her fur!

Here's a fairly recent picture of her, hissing at me telling me she is NOT under any circumstances going to move out of the way, so I can get my crafting stuff out from its little corner of the bedroom!

And here's my Super Chunky who seems to be loving that basket of wool! Just glad I don't knit as well as I know Tallulah would eat all the wool up! LOL

The East Wind New Release Lucy Loo 'Girls Invented Punk Rock Not England'

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new release image for today from The East Wind. There are so many fabulous images that Unky has released this month and I just wish I had more time to play with them all!

I got to choose this fabulous image, Lucy Loo 'Girls Invented Punk Rock Not England' and thought I would add another page to my journal/scrapbook thing. I think it will end up being a decorated quotes book as there are so many fabulous quotes I like that are not suitable for cards really.

I actually didn't have a quote in mind for this page, so went hunting on Pinterest and found this one by Kurt Cobain (RIP). Being a bit of a Nirvana fan back in their heyday, I couldn't NOT use it. It's a fabulous quote and one I can totally apply to myself. I have never been "normal" if there is such a thing, but I have always been the odd one out in my family, not liking what everyone else did, doing my own thing etc etc. I guess I'm a bit more normal now as my job kind of dictates that, but I'm still a rock chick at heart LOL

And here's a close up of Lucy Loo...

Art by MiRan Facebook Team Extra Challenge - Anything But A Card

Good Morning and happy birthday to me, to me! Yep it's my birthday so we're off out tonight for a slap up meal and then I'm out tomorrow night celebrating my best buddy's 40th! Must make sure I don't get too hungover! LOL

Anyway, as there are 5 fridays in July this year, I thought we could have an extra 2 week challenge at the Art by MiRan Facebook Group. This time for something different and fun we are doing an Anything BUT a card challenge, so you could make a tag, a bookmark, alter something, make a box, make a picture or like I did and create a canvas. The choice is yours!

I used the gorgeous Leomaris and Mermaid Meara with lots of spray inks, die cuts and sea life themed embellishments. I just LOVE it! I am slowly creating a wall of canvasses (and by slowly I mean this is only the second one!), but I do intend on making about 6 in the end, all different colours and all different themes. I have a purple and grey steampunk one and now my blue & green mermaid one. Fairies are up next I think. This canvas is 8 x 10 inches and a really good size to work with - not too scary! LOL

The East Wind Challenge #59 Photo Inspiration

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The East Wind. This fortnight our challenge is for you to use this photo as inspiration for your project. You could use the theme, the colours, stripes or whatever else inspires you.

I used the gorgeous Lucy Loo It's Hot Outside stamp for my card and used the beach theme as the basis for my card. I would love to sunbathe like this on the beach, but no chance of me fitting into a bikini any time soon!
