Craft Box April Project #2

Good Morning and welcome to my final DT post for Craft Box. I have had lots of fun on this DT and tried out lots of techniques and mixed media projects that I would probably have never done had I not been on this DT, but this term has come to an end and it is time for me to try my hand at something new. Thank you to Anna for inviting me to join your team and for all the DT goodies too. Thank you also to Michelle, our DT coordinator and the rest of the team for being a fabulous group of inspirational artists!

Anyway on to my project. I bought a pack of these kraft coloured gift bags from the Works (4 for £1) and thought I would have a go at decorating one as it is something I haven't done for absolutely ages! Everything on here except for the gesso, sentiment and ink used on it came from the April Craft Box.

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post and Craft Box April Inspiration Project #1

Good Morning and welcome to a double DT post from me for a change. The new Craft Box arrived this week and it was full of lots of pink goodies, so I just had to use them with this gorgeous image from Ching-Chou Kuik. This beauty is Scent of Spring and she is just stunning, isn't she?

Everything except for the card and pink ribbon came from the Craft Box, which has been one of my favourites so far.

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the Simply B Stamps Progressive Challenge. Each month Betty draws a new image for us to use and this month's image was just gorgeous! I used some old DSP from Stampin' Up and went with a red and black combo - love this colour combo for these 1920s images.

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post Over The Moon Cow

Good Morning and welcome to my inspiration post this week for Whimsy Stamps. This week I thought I would use theOver The Moon Cow digi stamp and create a cute love card instead of a baby card, which some of the other DT members have done with this stamp. I don't do babies and only make baby cards if they are needed LOL

I combined this image with the Pet Papers 2, Pink and Blue Mix Papers and an old sentiment set, Sun, Moon, Stars.

Sherri Baldy New Release My Besties Beauty

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new release from Sherri Baldy this month. This gorgeous image is My Besties Beauty and totally reminded me of Cinderella running away from the ball, so I coloured her up in a traditional Disney blue dress and used my Cinderella quote which I have been dying to use ever since I bought this stamp set. My camera didn't pick it up but her dress is actually covered in lots of sparkly dots which really shimmer in real life!

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is called Sentimental, so we would like to see you use a sentiment on your project.

This time I have used the gorgeous Art Deco Charme. I love these 1920s style images and would love to dress up in a flapper style fringed dress one day. I went with a red, black and gold combo and added a few feathers to me flowers as well to top it all off.

March Craft Box Project #2

Good Morning and welcome to my second post for the March edition of Craft Box. I thought I would do something a little different this time and used only the supplies in the Craft Box. I made three tags using the patterned papers, snipart words, glitter, glass cabochons, sparkly gems, fibres, ribbon, flowers and epoxy stickers. OK I lied, I did a little touch of lace, but that came from the Craft Box Mixed Media workshop I went to the other weekend, so I guess it still counts as a Craft Box item!

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Delicious Doodles Double

Good afternoon. My lovely friend Bettina let me know about the DT call over at Delicious Doodlesand I thought I would give it a try out, so I purchased some of these gorgeous images and made two completely different cards for the DT call.

This first card uses the gorgeous Blossom and I thought I would go with my girly pink and aqua colour combo on this one.

And my second card called to my gothic side. I used Gothic Fairy on this one and lots of dark and creepy bits!
Both completely different, but I love them both!
Little bit about me: I am a primary school teacher here in the UK, living with my boyfriend of just over 20 years and our spoilt little cat Miss Tallulah Zazzles (Not my name pick!). I started card making about 10 years ago when I was hunting for something to do during the school summer holidays. I started off with a cheap set from eBay containing some Sizzix die cuts and card blanks. Oh those first cards were hideous, but that was probably the best £5 I have ever spent as …

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Spring Jasmine

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my inspiration post this week for Ching-Chou Kuik. This week I have used the gorgeous Spring Jasmine and made an extra large card, so I could have a play with my Foamiran (which I have had for ages but only used once before!). I love dimension this foam gives to the flowers and love the colours of it too.

Pretty in Pink Amy

Good Morning! I am currently on holiday for 2 weeks and as yet we haven't planned to go anywhere or do anything as my boyfriend hasn't got the time off from his work, but we might manage to grab a few days out. Instead I am doing a bit of crafting, getting ahead on my DT assignments and playing just for fun! This project was a just for fun one!

I had a hunt through my huge folders full of printed digis and found this gorgeous one,Amy from Sweet Escape Digis and just had to colour in that gorgeous mane of hair! It took me ages and it made my hand ache by the end, but it was worth it!

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Post - Don't Laugh

Good afternoon everyone! As much as I love being on vacation from work, it completely messes my days up as I now have no idea what day it is! I can't believe it is Thursday already and we have done hardly anything this week. We went out for dinner on Tuesday and am going to somewhere else for dinner tonight. I have been swimming 4 times already this week and will go again in the morning. Love being able to find the time for an extra few swims!

Yesterday we spent the afternoon sorting out the mess that is our very small spare room, where all our clothes, shoes and other odds and ends live. I took photos of all my new shoes and my boyfriend asked the most ridiculous question I think any woman could hear: "Do you think you have enough shoes yet?!" I think the answer to that will always be the same: Never! Never ever ever! You can never have enough shoes! LOL

Anyway onto my card for Whimsy Stamps digital inspiration this week. I used the hilarious Don't Laugh and combine…

Craft Box Project #1 for March Box

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my first project using the March Craft Box. The Craft Boxthis time was a little different and very open to interpretation for what to do with the goodies, so I decided to make a love/Valentines canvas to add my wall of canvases. I try to do each one in a different colour and now have a purple one, turquoise one, pink one and a red one. Might go for a neutral colour next time.

I used a mixture of goodies from the Craft Box and some from my own stash and an image from Faery Ink for this canvas. From the Craft Box I used the black and white patterned papers, "forever" Snipart, glass baubles, glitter squares, flowers, leaves, ribbon, heart charms and the resin frame, which I painted in black gesso and then with pearl stencil paste which is also from Craft Box.

This canvas is also for Fab 'n' Funky's Challenge #345 Bows Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #117 3+ Layers Crafting With An Attitude's Challenge #26 Anything Goes Little Miss M…

Ching-Chou Kuik April Challenge Under The Sea

Good Morning and welcome to my post for the new challenge from the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This month our challenge is called Under The Sea, so we would love to see your sea themed projects. You can also include mermaids or sea animals which usually live under the sea, even if they are not under it in your image!

I used the gorgeousLilies Commitment in my project and made a picture frame scene using a cheap plastic frame I bought ages ago from Poundland. Unfortunately the glass in it was broken when I dug it out this morning, but that worked in my favour a little bit as it meant I could have things sticking on to the image from frame itself.

The frame was originally white but I painted it with a layer of gesso to make it easier to add the paint, although I'm not really sure I needed it. I used Ice Blue Pearlescent paint and then added lots of shells from eBay and other goodies from an old Craft Box.

Although it didn't come out quite as I had imagined, I…

The Paper Shelter Challenge #288 Make It Digital

Good Morning and welcome to a new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is to make it digital, so that means we want to see you using digital images, digital papers and anything else you have that is digital.

As The Paper Shelter has some fabulous digital images, I chose to use one of the new ones, Venus Flytrap. That cute little plant reminded me of Audrey II from The Little Shop of Horrors, so coloured it up in the same colours with her bright red lips! I kept the card fairly simple though as I printed the image quite large.
