Whimsy Stamps Mazarine Butterfly Fairy

Good morning and welcome to my final DT post for Whimsy Stamps. I have decided to step down from this DT partly due to lack of mojo and partly due to workload. As a teacher the summer term is always the busiest with end of year assessments to do and end of year reports along with parents evening and everything else, then throw my birthday celebrations into the mix and it's just non-stop! I am finding I have no free time and a severe lack of energy during the week to get much done!

Just wanted to say a little thank you to Denise for inviting me to join the DT back in February 2017 and thank you also for your great generosity. Thank you also to Crissy for designing fabulous digital stamps and Tracy (when she was also designing for the team) and to the rest of the DT for their amazing inspiration! I have had a blast!

So anyway...here's my last card using Mazarine Butterfly Fairy from Marina Fedotova.

Recipe:

Papers: Blushing Bride & Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Tiny Miracles Patterned Papers from Lemoncraft, Super Smooth Card from That Craft Place

Accessories: Lace & Ribbon both from Docrafts, Enamel Dots from Craft Box, Cherish Punch Around The Page Set from Martha Stewart, Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts & Hobbycraft

Faery Ink A Midsummer Night's Dream ATC Swap

Good morning! I joined in with the Faery Ink ATC swap this month, which I have never done before. I don't think I have every made an ATC to swap (I have done a couple of the pocket letters which used ATC sized pieces), so I'm hoping I have done it correctly! I am also hoping that my swap partner has now received these and I can now share them with you.

For this swap we could use any kind of "fae" creature, so I used the gorgeous  Mermaid Speckles from the Mermay Digi Bundle and Bella Book Faery for my 2 ATCs. I also made some little pocket envelopes to keep them in - not sure if that's the done thing, but saw something on Pinterest and thought it would be a good way to protect when posting if nothing else!

I kept these quite plain with just a touch of patterned paper and ribbon.

And here are my two ATCs together... I found it quite hard colouring the Bella Book Faery at such a smaller size than my usual size, but I think she came our pretty well!

And close ups...I added lots of Stickles to the sea for some texture and shine! You can't really tell in this photo but I added some pale green Copic to her skin and it shows up a bit more in real life.

And now for Bella Book Faery. She has Wink of Stella on her wings, which you can't really see here, but it is there honestly! The sentiment is also covered with dark pink Wink of Stella!

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #192 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my guest DT post for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. This week for the Anything Goes Challenge I have merged lots of different digital stamps together to create a house scene for a new home card. I used Backyard Houses BBQ for the house, Backyard Houses Garden for the flower pots and stone path and Happy Mail for the mail box. Nikki Burnette's I love Books

Good evening and welcome to my post! Today I am sharing a colouring I have been slowly adding to over the past couple of weeks. I finally finished it about 11pm last night! I've had little time to finish this in one or two sittings, so it has taken me a while to do, but I finally got there.

I used the gorgeous I Love Books image from Nikki Burnette's Spellbinding Images Colouring Book Volume 3 and printed it to roughly an A5 sized image.

I went with traditional Halowe'en colours of purple, green, orange and black and then got stuck on what to do for the background, so went with some purply-grey clouds, which didn't come out quite as blended as I had hoped for, but in real life, they are not quite as stark as in the photo!

Not sure if you can see it either, but the sentiment is covered with clear star gelly roll pen for a touch of glitter too!

At the minute I'm not sure what I am going to do with this colouring, so have just mounted it onto some card, but I might frame it and add it to my wall!

Ching-Chou Kuik Last Inspiration Post with Aloha, Lady

Good morning and welcome to my final post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog team. I have decided to step down from this design team, partly because my mojo is not what it used to be and partly because I feel I need a bit of a break from design team crafting, which in turn adds extra pressure at times to create, which again can make me lose that mojo!

I have been part of the team for almost 4 years now and have loved being part of it. The images are just gorgeous and I know I will always use them in my crafting. I would like to just say a huge thank you to Ching-Chou and to Kym for being fabulous ladies to work with! Thank you also to all the other design team members I have worked with over the years - you have all been a great inspiration!

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Post - Peony Dawn

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for this week for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. This week I am using the gorgeous Peony Dawn grayscale version and the DT were challenged this week to use either pink or blue. No brainer for me really - pink all the way, although I enjoy using blue as well.

I kept this card fairly simply as I printed the image fairly large. I do love how this one came out! Not sure if you can tell, but her wings are covered in clear Wink of Stella which adds such a nice shimmer to the card.

Whimsy Stamps June Challenge - Anything Goes

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from Whimsy Stamps. This month, as always, the challenge is an anything goes one and while you don't have to use a Whimsy Stamps image, digital or rubber stamp, to enter, we would love to see you using one.

I used the gorgeous Unicorn Dreams digital stamp for this challenge and gave him/her a rainbow coloured mane and tail to match (sort of) the patterned paper I used. I also didn't have any silver glitter card (or couldn't find any as it wasn't where it should be!), so instead added Stickles to all my visible edges and love all the added glitter on this card. The mane, tail and horn are also covered with clear Wink of Stella for that extra sparkle too!

The sentiment comes from the Norbert and Fiona Playtime stamp set as well.

This card is also for

Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge #191 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my GDT post for the new challenge from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Our challenge is Anything Goes as always adn although you don't have to use a stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps to join in, we sure would love to see your cards and projects using one!

I am using the newly released Pick Up Truck, Beach Themed image. I sure do wish we lived closer to the beach and that it was a bit warmer here in the UK except for like 3 weeks in the summer, when it is beach weather. The closest beach to us is about 1 -2 hours away depending on the traffic and then it is always heaving when it is hot and you can barely move there!

Anyway here's my truck all loaded, ready for a day of fun at the beach, so I had to create a seaside scene with my new waves dies!

This card is also for

The Paper Shelter Challenge #342 - Letters or Numbers

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week the challenge is to use letters or numbers, one I actually found really hard to do as I don't put ages on a birthday card unless I am making it for a specific birthday and I have none coming up. I had a hunt through all my stamps and finally managed to find a sentiment with a 2 in it instead of the word to, so used that!

I used the adorable Ducklings stamp and added a lot of background colouring to it so it looked like the ducklings were going for a walk round their pond. I love how this one came out, but it did take a while to colour! Worth it though!

This card is also for

Whimsy Stamps New Release - Kitty Ballerina

Good morning and welcome to my second new release post for the Whimsy Stamps Digital Team. Today I am sharing with you another cute stamp - Kitty Ballerina. I chose to use one of my favourite colour combos - brown and pink and went all distressed for this one. I love the look of distressing but don't always remember to use the tool! I do think this technique works really well with these colours though!

Delicious Doodles June Challenge - Macabre Wedding

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new and, sadly, the final challenge from Delicious Doodles. Unfortunately, there have been so few entries into this challenge of late, that Teri and Sue have decided to close the challenges.

This month the challenge is macabre weddings. I've never made a macabre wedding card before, so it was fun making a more Gothic wedding card than the traditional white ones I have done in the past.
