Faery Ink Inspiration Post Featuring Southern Charm

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink this week. Today I am sharing a card using the gorgeous Southern Charm image from the Pretty Girls With Wings  and Things Volume 2 Colouring Book.

I went for a purple and turquoise colour combo, one of my faves and added some glitter to her wings. I have an addiction to these Nuvo drops as well so added lots of those around the card too.

For my list of Copic colours that I used, head on over to the Faery Ink blog and check out my post there!

Something Else on Saturday #23 Featuring Purple Tender from Chick Chou Kuik

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. This week I am sharing the gorgeous Purple Tender from Ching Chou Kuik. I haven't actually used a Ching Chou Kuik image for ages, not really since I left the DT a while ago and now that I have used one, I realise that I really miss using them, so will have to get them out more often!

The sentiment was one from the patterned paper pack that I used and was printed along the bottom of one of the sheets. I thought it would go really well with this image, so trimmed it down into smaller chunks to use on this card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Purple Tender from Ching Chou Kuik

Papers: Wisteria Wonder (Retired), Perfect Plum (Retired), Always Artichoke (Retired), Wild Wasabi (Retired) & Tranquil Tide (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Mermaid Tales Patterned Papers from Kaiser Craft, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

The Paper Shelter Challenge #394 Face It!

Good morning and welcome back to the Paper Shelter Challenge! we have had a bit of a summer break and are now back to our usual routine of the weekly challenges with each team taking turns to share their projects for the challenges.

This week's challenge is called Face It and we want to see projects where the main image is just a face, not a full body. You could use one of the gorgeous images from the Paper Shelter store, or alternatively crop an image to show just the face!

I used the magical Glittery and Sparkling image to make a windowed card. This is the card closed. I added a few stars to the outside to continue the pattern of the digital stamp. These kind of cards are always difficult to close so I added the sentiment at the top so it would overhang and catch the right hand side underneath it and then added some ribbon at the bottom to tie it together there too.

I added some other patterned papers on the inside, but kept it fairly flat so it is easier for adding to an envelope.

And finally a close up of my coloured image. Shame you can't see the glittery I added to the horn, stars and hair jewellery here though!

Recipe:

Stamps: Glittery and Sparkling from The Paper Shelter, Unicorn Sentiments from Stamping Bella

Papers: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Champagne Glimmer, Brights DSP (Retired), Pop of Pink DSP (Retired), Cheerful Treat DSP (Retired) & Eastern Elegance DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Inks: Melon Mambo from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers, Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen

Accessories: Bermuda Bay Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Star Dies from X-Cut, Window Card Art Template from Dutch Doobadoo

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30

Newton's Birthday Trio

Good morning and welcome to my blog post for today. I'm sharing the adorable Newton's Nook Birthday Trio card which I have coloured up for the Inky Paws Challenge #104 to use brown, orange, yellow and teal. I actually found this harder than I thought, only because I don't have many patterned papers with teal in them apart from floral ones, which I didn't want to use as I wanted this to go in my male cards collection. I never seem to have enough of men's cards, so any opportunity I can, I try to make one!

Faery Ink Inspiration Post Featuring Gabbie Poppy Fae

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for the Faery Ink blog. I used the gorgeous Gabbie Poppy Fae and made a large tag for something different. Keeping to a red, black and green theme, I used some poppy patterned papers and added a few butterflies above her and some die cut flowers in the corners.

This tag is for

Something Else on Saturday #21 Featuring Happily Ever After by Selina Fenech

Good evening and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. Apologies for being late in the day but I completely forgot that I hadn't actually written this post! Today I am sharing an A5 colouring page from Selina Fenech called Happily Ever After. This is actually a scene from Selina's book Memory's Wake, which I read a while ago about a young girl who gets transported through a portal, where eventually she meets up with another young girl who has no memory of her life at all and does not appear to be from the same world. Go check it out, it's worth a read even if Young Adult books are not your thing (they're not mine usually either!)

Anyway....here's my colouring of this page for Selina's Facebook colouring competition. A very detailed drawing and took several hours to colour, but I love how it came out and think all that time was definitely worth it!
