Something Else on Saturday #36 Featuring Snow Buddies from My Favorite Things

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. I have been buying loads of new Christmas stamp sets recently and this Snow Buddies set from My Favorite Things was a definite must-have set. I love these cuties!

I stamped the images and fussy cut them after colouring, so I could add them to my distress inked sky and die cut snow drifts! I suck really badly at masking images and inking round them, so for me this way works much better! I kept the rest of the card fairly simple as I like to have a few flatter cards for posting.

The Paper Shelter Challenge #408 Blast From The Past

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for this week's challenge from The Paper Shelter. Our challenge is called Blast from The Past and you can interpret that title in whichever way you like. I sort of did a double meaning in that I used an old digital stamp, Christmas Shopping, from the Paper Shelter that was released in 2015, so from the past! I also think the lovely lady doing her Christmas shopping definitely looks like she is from another era!

How are you all doing with your Christmas shopping if you celebrate it? I'm about half way done with mine, just the other half of the boyfriend's to buy, friends and my dad's and maybe work colleagues a little something!

Recipe:

Stamps: Christmas Shopping from The Paper Shelter, On Thin Ice & Festive Fairies both from Clearly Besotted

Papers: Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Regals DSP (Retired) & All Is Calm DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Something Else on Saturday #34 Featuring Lady Bea from JMC Designs

Good morning and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post! I am hoping that this one goes live properly this week! I received this digi as a freebie from JMC Designs through the Kit & Clowder Facebook group and I love this funky design! I think I may have to purchase some more of Julia's digis!

I have seen loads of these tall card designs around again recently (They were all the rage when I first started crafting), so bought some card blanks and I love using them for a different shape to my usual square! It was a perfect shape for this image as she remained centre stage whilst still being able to add enough embellishments too! The sentiment was part of the patterned papers and thought it fit the feel of this image perfectly as well!

Papers: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight & Basic Black all from Stampin' Up, Park Bench Patterned Papers from Fancy Pants, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty
