LeAnn's World 101 Inspiration Post Featuring Heart Fairy

Good morning everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for LeAnn's World 101. This month I chose to use the adorable Heart Fairy and for a change made a circle card. I hardly ever make circle cards as they can be difficult to stand up, but I managed to get this one to stand with another of the same circles cut and the top folded before attaching to the back. It works!

I went with one of my favourite combos - hot pink, black and white with a touch of silver grey in there as well! As the shape didn't need many layers, I added lots of dots using my Nuvo Drops. I do get carried away with these, but love them!

This card is for

Something Else on Saturday #49 Featuring Make A Splash from the Greeting Farm

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post! This week I am using two stamp sets from the Greeting Farm, one of which I actually forgot I even had! How bad is that?! I saw the cute mermaid castle one a card on Pinterest and went to search for the set it was from, checked my Evernote list and there is was. Never used it before and no idea how long I have had it either!

You will still find all the fabulous images that you have been used to seeing as well as some new goodies soon!

Faery Ink New Release Inspiration - Lady Bug Tomte Gnome

Good morning everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for the newly released digi stamp, Lady Bug Tomte Gnome from Faery Ink. I just love these gnomes from Amanda and this one is just adorable with his ladybug (or ladybird as we call them here in the UK) wings and hat.

Something Else on Saturday #48 Featuring Elephant Friends from Hello Bluebird

Good morning all and welcome to another of my Something Else on Saturday posts! I finally managed to get my hands on some Hello Bluebird Stamps from Menny's Bastelshop in Germany as they are not (as yet!) available in the UK (Why not?!) I do wish somewhere would stock them as there's so many sets I want, but Menny's doesn't have them all in stock!

Anyway these adorable elephants are from Elephant Friends and I thought I would have a go at making my own frame for them to go as I don't have a die with these sort of frame (can't find one like this either, so need to keep an eye out for one!) I used my Square and Rectangle Nestabilities to cut it out and then trimmed round it to make it fit better on the actual card base, but it is a little off centre with the squares. Might have been easier to just cut the squares and rectangle out and mount them onto a piece of card!

The background was inked using Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink Oxides before spraying with water and flicking watered down white paint over it too.

PSST! Would actually help if I bothered to add the photo of my card too, wouldn't it?! Can't believe I forgot it!

This card is for

Walkies With Coco and Pebble

Good morning everyone! I've been on my half term holidays this week so have been colouring loads and managed to have a full day yesterday of card making, getting ahead on some of my DT assignments, but also managed to make up this cutie.

I was the lucky winner in the 7 Kids Crafts Facebook group last month and won all of the February new releases of the Sweet November stamps, which was such an amazing and generous gift! This cutie is Coco and Pebble from that collection.

Now Amy Young is the artist for Sweet November Digital Stamps and I am just in awe of how amazing an artist and colourist she is and so wish I could create the scenes that she does with just my Copics, but unfortunately I'm nowhere near her level, so I used patterned papers and die cuts to create my little walk in the park!

This card is for

Something Else on Saturday #47 Featuring Daphne by Wee Stamps

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. One of the lovely HLTAs at my school gave me a bunch of daffodils the other Friday for no other reason than it being a random act of kindness, which was such a lovely thing to do! In return for being having a blonde moment (I am blonde but not naturally!) thinking they were asparagus, I made her this pretty card using this gorgeous Daphne image from Wee Stamps, which you might be able to get from Whimsy Stamps as the Wee Stamps site has now closed, but many of them are available from Whimsy now.

I kept to a simple green and yellow combo and just added a big thanks die cute along the top.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Good morning and happy Valentine's Day to you all. We don't really celebrate Valentine's in a huge way here in the UK. It tends to be only buying romantic gifts for your beloved rather than for everyone you care about, like it is celebrated in the USA. I did try one year to give out little cards and gifts for Valentine's to friends and work colleagues and they all thought it was a bit odd and to be honest, I haven't done it since! Maybe I will try again next year!

For this year though I have made my boyfriend a simple card, with a very fitting image for the two of us. We're both rock chicks at heart I guess and this Skull Candy Til Death image from Faery Ink was just perfect for us! I used the no lines version to add a softer look to the image and to keep the skull more grey than black.

This card is for

Recipe:

Stamps: Skull Candy Til Death from Faery Ink

Papers: Real Red, Whisper White both from Stampin' Up, Sweet As Sugar Patterned Papers from Reverse Confetti, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Inks: Real Red & Pretty in Pink (Retired) both from Stampin' Up

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Faery Ink New Release Inspiration Post - Unicorn Moon

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my DT post for Faery Ink Today I am sharing my latest card using the gorgeous new release Unicorn Moon. I love all things fantasy, so this digital stamp just jumped out at me to be used today!

I decided to go with an pink ombre effect on the mane and just love how it came out! I added lots of extra glittery star dies for a touch more sparkle.

Here's a close up of the image - the dots you can see on the main are tiny bits of glitter from my Gelly Roll Pen which doesn't show up very well in photos unfortunately! I left the unicorn mostly white with a touch of very pale shading to the shadow areas.

Anyway on to my card for this week....Whimsy Stamps designer Crissy Armstrong released this cute set of digital stamps to help raise money for the Emergency Fund For Wildlife to provide food, water, shelter and emergency treatment for all those animals caught in the Australian bushfires.
