Waltzing Mouse Sketches

I've not been able to do the last couple of Waltzing Mouse sketches so thought I would catch up on doing them this morning.

This first one is this week's sketch #58, which I combined with Play Date Café's Challenge #92 to use coral, petal pink and ancient gold. I don't have much gold stuff as I don't like the colour, but did find some embossing powder and organza ribbon hidden away in my stash! This is the colour swatch from PDC.

And this is my card for it! Not colours I would choose myself, but I like how it came out!

Recipe:

Stamps: Fancy Flourishes from PTI, Large Doily, Dainty Doilies 2, Holiday Labels #14, Say It With Style all from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Cameo Coral (retired), Blushing Bride, Whisper White all from SU, Patterned Paper from My Mind's Eye

Inks: Cameo Coral (retired), Blushing Bride, Versamark all from SU

Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder from SU, Lace from Cuddly Buddly, Gold Organza Ribbon from stash, Buttons from Elzybells

This next one is sketch #57 from 2 weeks ago which I combined with CC75 to use Sage Shadow, Vintage Violet (which I subbed with Perfect Plum) and Creamy Caramel. It actually turned out to be a nice combo! I took my inspiration from Edna's card for the doilies!

Stamps: Large Doily, Dainty Doilies 2, Fancy Phrases all from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Sage Shadow (retired), Creamy Caramel (retired), Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum DSP (retired) all from SU

Accessories: Caramel Gingham Ribbon (retired) from SU, Buttons from stash

My last card is for sketch #55 from a few weeks back now, which I combined with CC42 to use Real Red and Barely Banana.

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

July Mini VSN

It's VSN time again over on Splitcoast Stampers, but tonight is just the mini event. The main event is coming up on August 26th and 27th. This VSN's theme is the Wild Wild West and not having any cowboys type stamps at all I just had to go and buy some! (Any excuse for crafty shopping huh?!) There are 6 challenges tonight and mine is number 5!

Challenge #1 was called The Grand Entry and you had to create a card that includes flags or pennants. I just had to pull out my Banner Builder set for this one. We also got bonus points for making it red, white and blue! And trying to stick to the cowboy theme, I included a little cowboy stamp! I also used TECC36 for the sketch.

Recipe:

Stamps: Back In The Saddle, Way Out West both from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Real Red, Brilliant Blue (retired), Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Brilliant Blue (retired), Whisper White, Early Espresso all from SU

Accessories: Pure Poppy Baker's Twine, Banner Builder Dies both from PTI, Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug, Circle Nestabilities

Challenge #2 was called The Queen's Wave and was to make a card based on the theme of waving. I couldn't find any stamps of someone waving so went with the sea waving in the background! I used TECC01 for the sketch.

Recipe:

Stamps: Surfer Girl from Elzybells, Lily At The Beach from Pink Cat Studio

Papers: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Soft Sky (retired), Island Oasis DSP (retired) all from SU, Copics White

Inks: So Saffron, Soft Sky (retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Rose Red Ribbon from SU, Rick Rack Die from PTI

Challenge #3 was called Bring In The Clowns...Rodeo Clowns and was to use 4 bright colours and make something pop up. My sentiment is popped up! Whilst hunting for some DSP for something else I spotted this bright paper from the Pink Flamingo set (which I wasn't a great fan of to be honest which is why I still have most of the pack left) and thought it would be perfect for a bright coloured card. I used TECC9 for the sketch as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Greenhouse Garden from SU, Mega Mixed Messages from PTI

Papers: Summer Sun (retired), Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Pink Flamingo DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Real Red, Cameo Coral (retired) both from SU

Accessories: Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Button from the floor (I found it whilst clearing up so no idea where it came from but it was the perfect colour for this card :P), Circle Nestabilities

Challenge #4 was called All That Glitters... and was to use sequins! The only sequins I own are some red one I bought for decorating a Christmas decoration a couple of years ago so I had to use those. I used TECC15 for the sketch as well. I tried to make this one a bit more Western style than the others and used 3 different background stamps from the Way Out West set from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.

Recipe:

Stamps: Back In The Saddle, Way Out West set both from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.

Papers: Real Red, Soft Suede, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Real Red, Old Olive, Soft Suede all from SU

Accessories: Old Olive Twill (retired), Scallop Edge Border Punch both from SU, Red Sequins from stash

Challenge #5 was called Brayered Sunset over the Plains and was my challenge! You had to use a brayer (or sponges or daubers or whatever else you could think of) to create a sunset and silhouettes scene. This was my 3rd attempt (attempt #1 was a perfect sunset until I splodged black ink on it; attempt #2 had too many line marks on it, but #3 was great!).

Recipe:

Stamps: Back in the Saddle, Way out West both from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Barely Banana (retired), Basic Black, Whisper White

Inks: Barely Banana (retired), Summer Sun (retired), Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black all from SU

Accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon (retired), Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch (to make mask) all from SU

Challenge #6 was called Living In The Wild Wild West and you had to take inspiration from the lyrics of "Wild Wild West" by Escape Club. I used the line "I love her eyes and her wild wild hair" as my inspiration - I think Tuesday has really piercing eyes and wild wild hair, don't you! You also had to include gingham somewhere as well, which I totally forgot until writing this blog post, so I have just now added some little red gingham ribbon bows to my card! I used TESC103 for the sketch and CC79 to use Real Red, Bashful Blue and Almost Amethyst for my colours. I'm also entering it in Farm Fresh Friday's Gratuity Please Challenge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Star Prints from PTI, Tuesday from The Greeting Farm

Papers: Real Red, Almost Amethyst, Summer Picnic DSP (retired) all from SU, Copics White

Inks: Real Red, Almost Amethyst (retired) both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Red Gingham Ribbon from SU, Seeing Star Dies Collection from PTI, Lavender Lace Liquid Pearls

And that's all the challenges for the Mini VSN. Come on over and join in the fun!

A Few Random Cards

Just a few more I've done this week...

This first one is for Waltzing Mouse's Sketch Challenge #57 (I've missed the last couple of these so need to get caught up again!) and Color Throwdown's Challenge #152 to use Rose Red, Melon Mambo, Soft Suede and River Rock. As soon as I put my ink pads together for these colours I fell in love! This combo is absolutely GORGEOUS!

Recipe:

Stamps: Large Doily, Dainty Doilies 2, Say It With Style all from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Rose Red, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Ginger Blossom DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Rose Red, Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, River Rock ink and marker all from SU

Accessories: None

My next one is so out of my usual style but I really like it! This one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #78 to use Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip and Certainly Celery - perfect colours for a man's card! I also used Free For All's Challenge #75 to make a CAS card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Birthday Bash Sentiments, Boy Basics: Simple Circles both from PTI

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery all from SU

Accessories: Square Lattice Embossing Folder from SU, Crop-a-dile (to punch the small circles), Simple Circles Border Die from PTI

And my final card is for SC343, CC333 to use Island Indigo (which I swapped for Bermuda Bay - looked the closest colour to the swatch), Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight and for Paper Pal Arts Challenge #104 to use Paper Piercing. I pierced round the edges of each strip although it's kinda hard to tell in the photo.

Recipe:

Stamps: Botanical Silhouettes from PTI

Papers: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight cs and DSP from Brights Stack, Tangerine Tango

Inks: Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay

Accessories: Fun Flowers Sizzix Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Tangerine Tango Ribbon (retired) all from SU, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug

And that's all from me for today folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget it's the Mini VSN over on SCS tonight. I'm hostessing the 9pm challenge (so that's 2am for me! ARGH! Will have a nap later so I can be awake enough for it!)

More Square Cards

Just a few square cards I made this week. I haven't been keeping up with my blog everyday idea that I was going to do, but I've developed a new Sims 3 addiction this week and keep forgetting to do other stuff on my laptop!

This first one is for A Passion For Papertrey's Sky's The Limit Challenge and old Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #110. I just had to use my new kites and the same sentiment! I'm planning on working through all the old TE sketch challenges, so you'll see lots of them on here at the minute!

Recipe:

Stamps: Up, Up & Away from PTI

Papers: Lavender Moon, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Rain, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Whisper White from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Lavender Moon, Hibiscus Burst both from PTI

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Clouds Dies (to make masks) from PTI

My next card is for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #175 for the sketch, Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #82 Summer (Summer to me is definitely more ice cream!) and for Colour Create's Challenge #76 to use pink, green and white.

Recipe:

Stamps: Sweet Treats from Pink Cat Studio

Papers: Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss (retired) both from SU, Copics White, English Rose Collection Papers from Kaisercraft

Inks: Pink Pirouette from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Pink Seam Binding Ribbons from Crafty Ribbons, Oval Nestabilities, Pink Glitter Brads from stash, White Opal Liquid Pearls, Double Ended Banner Die from PTI

My next card is a little bit of a cheater card. I actually made this one this morning for last week's Just Magnolia's Just Cooking Challenge without checking that they had actually got a new challenge up, Bows, Buttons and Blooms, so I'm entering it for that one instead as it still fits! I used Papertake Weekly's Sketch #58 and the idea of cake from Magnolia-licious' Inspiration Challenge. I don't have any Tilda wedding or sailor stamps so went with cake instead. (And having just uploaded the photo I've noticed that I stuck the ribbon, image and sentiment all on upside down as my cherries in the background are facing upwards! Duh! I'll just pretend that they are funny shaped flowers instead LOL)

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda With Cowberry Muffin, Love Muffin both from Magnolia, Piece of Cake from PTI

Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist both from SU, Copics White, Lemonade Paper Pack from Basic Grey

Inks: Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Ribbon from stash, Paper doily from eBay, Marina Mist Button, Red buttons from stash, Paper Rose from eBay, Blue Silk Roses from Papermania

And my final square card is only for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #114. I did leave the buttons off though and use a bow instead. I took my MIL shopping yesterday and she wanted to buy a wedding card form her step-grandson's wedding. The one she chose had a blue car on a plain cream base and Happy Wedding Day on it and that was pretty much it and it cost £2.99. Complete rip off if you ask me. So I told her I would make her one (she didn't ask me to begin with as she said I was on my holidays - huh?! Like I need an excuse to do a bit of crafting!)

Recipe:

Stamps: Enjoy The Ride from PTI

Papers: Baja Breeze, Bridesmaid DSP (retired), Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black

Accessories: Silver Pearls from eBay, Circle Nestabilities, Baja Breeze Seam Binding from SU

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Make It Monday On A Tuesday!

I rarely get the chance to do a  blog post with a single card in it as I'm always trying to cram everything in to such a short amount of time at the weekend! But now the summer holidays are here and I can take my time a bit more!

This card is for Make It Monday's Challenge #25 to use white ink to colour in images. I just had to make some daisies using my All About You set. I also used the sketch from old TECC18. I used a Q-Tip to colour the petals in (and thinking about it afterwards I should have just used my ink refill and a paintbrush, but hey ho nevermind!) and I did go back over the petal outlines with a marker pen as I just didn't think they stood out enough!

Recipe:

Stamps: All About You

Papers: Daffodil Delight cs & DSP from Brights Stack, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz DSP from hostess pack all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink all from SU

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon (retired in the UK catalogue, but will hopefully return!), Circle Nestabilities

Papertrey Ink's July Blog Hop

Wow it's been a made Papertrey Ink weekend this weekend with the Stamp-A-Faire challenges (I still have #10 to do yet!), but first today is the monthly blog hop!

And this month was another inspiration one. This picture is just perfect for my favourite colour combo of Melon Berry, Ocean Tides and Fine Linen!

And here's my take on it. A very busy card but I love it! This layout is from Mojo Monday's Sketch #201.

Recipe:

Stamps: Delightful Doilies, Mehndi Medallion, Say It With Style, Butterfly Dreams all from PTI

Papers: Fine Linen, Ocean Tides, Stampers Select White, Green Tea Leaves Patterned Paper all from PTI

Inks: Baja Breeze, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Chocolate Chip all from SU

Thanks for stopping by!

Sharing on a Sunday

I had loads of fun yesterday with Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire's challenges, but these are the few cards I did yesterday morning, before I started my marathon of card making.

This first card is a first technique for me, using Make It Monday's Challenge #23 Dry Brushing. I didn't have any white acrylic paint so I used some green stuff I had left over from painting my Hallowe'en decorations last year. I love the rustic kind of feel to it and added a bit of brown ink round the edges just to finish it off a bit better. I also used Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #81 for the sketch and CC332 to use Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and Pool, Party, which we haven't got over here yet, so I subbed it with Soft Sky instead.

Recipe:

Stamps: Frog Hop, Fillable Frames #2, Fillable Frames Additions 1 all from PTI

Papers: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky (retired), Bella Rose DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Acrylic Paint

Accessories: Wild Wasabi Ribbon (retired) from SU, Fillable Frames #2 die from PTI, Buttons from Elzybells

My next one is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for July for the sketch, Color Throwdown's Challenge #151 to use rainbows and Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #174 to make a man's card. Ever since I saw Maile Belles card here I have wanted to make a rainbow of chevron stripes and I finally got round to it on this card!

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Chevron Stripes, Up, Up & Away both from PTI

Papers: Ballet Blue, Green Galore, Soft Sky (all retired) from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI, DSP from Magazine freebie

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics,  Only Orange, Summer Sun, Green Galore, Ballet Blue, Lovely Lovely Orchid Opulence (all retired) Real Red all from SU

Accessories: Daffodil Delight Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch both from SU, Cloud Die, Balloons die both from PTI

My next one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #77 for the sketch, CC331 to use Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler and for Free For All Challenge #74 to use 2 of the same thing. Each of my flowers are in pairs!

Recipe:

Stamps: Printed Petals, Thank You Kindly both from SU

Papers: Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Springtime Vintage DSP all from SU

Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy both from SU

Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch, Baja Breeze Button from Subtles pack both from SU

My next one is another SUO thank you for one of my customers. This one is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #3 for July, Papertake Weekly's Getting Cute Challenge and CR84FN34 to use yellow, pale pink and bright pink. I did stretch this sketch a bit, but you can still see the inspiration (I hope!) This is the pretty swatch from CR84FN...

And here's my card for it...

Recipe:

Stamps: Thank You Kindly from SU

Papers: Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo cs & DSP from Brights Stack, Old Olive, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Lap of Luxury DSP, Sunny Garden DSP all from SU

Inks: Melon Mambo from SU

Accessories: Daffodil Delight Ribbon, Bird Punch, Owl Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch all from SU, Circle Nestabilities

And my final card for today is another SUO card for a customer. This one is for paper Pal Arts Challenge #103 for the sketch and for Play Date Cafe's Challenge #91 to use black, white and a splash of colour - I added some Rich Razzleberry this time.  This is the swatch from Play date Cafe - just how good does that jelly look?!

And here's my card for it...

Recipe:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, thank You Kindly both from SU

Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Newsprint DSP all from SU

Inks: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry both from SU

Accessories: Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, Basic Black Brad both from SU

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Stamp-A-Faire 2011 Challenges #6 - 10

Carrying on with the challenges for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire Day!

Challenge #6 was to use the little notch technique to hold twine or ribbon in place across the cover of your project. I just had to use my Botanical Silhouettes set at some point tonight and this sketch, old TECC24, was perfect! I also used old CC78 to use Old Olive, Vintage Violet (which I subbed with Perfect Plum) and Cranberry Crisp (which I swapped for Purely Pomegranate).

Recipe:

Stamps: Botanical Silhouettes, Tag Its #2

Papers: Old Olive, Purely Pomegranate (retired), Perfect Plum DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Old Olive, Purely Pomegrante, Perfect Plum

Accessories: Old Olive Twill (retired), 3/4" Circle Punch both from SU

Challenge #7 was to have a "play date" with your stamps and discover 2 or 3 images from different sets that layer together in a surprising way, just like Betsy Veldman did for her make 'n' take! I took complete indpiration from Betsy's card and used the Mendhi Medallion with some leaves and flowers. The small stamp Mendhi Medallion fits perfectly in the centre of the Flower Fusion #5 stamp! I also used old TESC111 for my sketch.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mendhi Medallion, All About You, Flower Fusion #5, Banner Builder, Mega Mixed Messages all from PTI

Papers: Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Mellow Moss all from SU

Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch from SU, Banner Builder Dies, Flower Fusion #5 die both from PTI

Challenge #8 was to create a card with an front cover that is cut back by an inch or so.  The extra lip invites you to add a sentiment, a strip of patterned paper, a bit of glitter, just so many opportunities! I only took off half an inch so I could add a row of tiny star on the inside and love how this one came out. I used old TESC84 for the sketch and old CC127 to use Blue Bayou, Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip.

Recipe:

Stamps: Star Prints from PTI

Papers: Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou

Accessories: Star Dies from PTI

Challenge # 9 was to look at your stamps in a new way, turn them, rotate them at new angles and see if YOU can come up with anything unique! I haven't seen this done before but it was inspired by PTI's new Tranquility Trilogy set. I used my triangle Banner stamps and made some patterned paper for this card! I also used old TESC95 for the sketch and CC62 to use Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa and Bashful Blue.

Recipe:

Stamps: Banner Builder, Big & Bold Wishes, Make A Wish Additions all from PTI

Papers: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip both from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Bashful Blue, Close To Cocoa (retired) both from SU

Accessories: Sunshine Impression Plate from PTI, Thatre Ribbons (retired) from SU

And the final Challenge #10, which was finally uploaded yesterday, was to  add a stamped focal point over a stamped background, all in the same layer! Not sure if you can really see it in the photo but I stamped my background with Sheet Music first, but I stamped the ink off before I stamped on the card to give a lighter colour. This one also uses old TECC22 and CC117 to use Certainly Celery, Ruby Red and Elegant Eggplant.

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Sheet Music, Turning A New Leaf, Everyday Classics all from PTI

Papers: Ruby Red (retired), Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery, Ginger Blossom DSP all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Ruby Red (retired), Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Crumb Cake all from SU

Accessories: Fairytale Ribbons (retired), Oval Punches, Eyelet Border Punch all from SU

And that's all from me tonight folks! It's now am and I really need to go to bed! Thanks for stopping by! I had tons of fun doing all these challenges!

Papertrey Ink Stamp-A-Faire 2011 Challenges #1 - 5

Today Papertrey Ink are hosting a Stamp-A-Faire in Cincinatti, but due to work I physically couldn't get there in time, so I'm playing along with the challenges on Nichole's blog instead. There will be 10 challenges in all, but I doubt I will get to do them all because of the time difference. They all need to be uploaded by 11:59 EST and that's 5am over here and I'll be fast asleep by then!

Challenge #1 was to create a project featuring patterned strips that are created with some of your favorite decorative elements. I used the gorgeous Guide Lines II to make the two strips on this card. I also used Mojo Sketch Challenge #200, CC330 to use Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango and PTI Princess Leah's challenge to make a card/project to give to someone within the next week. I need some thank you cards for my birthday gifts from last week, so this one will be going to my MIL for hers.

Recipe:

Stamps: Guide Lines II, Think Big Favorites #1, Polka Dot Basics

Papers: Rich Razzleberry cs & DSP from Brights Stack, Tangerine Tango both from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango all from SU

Accessories: Medium Scallop Border Die from PTI, Button from Elzybells, Circle Nestabilities

Challenge #2 was to show your take on pairing up a hot pink, like Raspberry Fizz, with a charcoal grey. I used the sketch from Viva La Verve's July Sketch #4 as well. I LOVE pink and grey together (or pink and black!).

Recipe:

Stamps: background Basics: Sheet Music, Think Big Favorites #3, Around & About Sentiments all from PTI

Papers: Raspberry Fizz from PTI, Very Vanilla, Basic Gray both from SU

Inks: Raspberry Fizz (which is desperately running out!) from PTI, Basic Gray from SU

Accessories: Basic Gray Tafetta Ribbon (retired), Scallop Edge Punch both from SU, Go Kreate Frilly Squares #1, Chipboard Heart from stash

Challenge #3 was to punch a window from your card cover and tie ribbon or twine from the window to the side of your card. As soon as I read this challenge I knew I wanted to have my little plane flying through the clouds - what do you think?! I used old CC71 to use Cranberry Crisp (which I subbed with Purely Pomegranate) and Bashful Blue (which I swapped for Spring Rain) for my colours as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Fly Away from PTI

Papers: Purely Pomegranate (retired) from SU, Spring Rain, Stampers Select White both from PTI

Inks: Whisper White, PUrely Pomegranate (retired) both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Mat Stack #4 Die, Spring Rain Buttons, Clouds Die (used as mask), Fly Away Die all from PTI, Purely Pomegranate Ribbon (retired) from SU

Challenge #4 was to use Ripe Avocado, Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores & Enchanted Evening. I initially went to do a masculine card as they are more masculine colours, but then changed my mind and came up with this one! I used SC342 for the sketch as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Flower Fusion #5 from PTI

Papers: Simply Chartreuse, Enchanted Evening, Ripe Avocado, 2009 Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Papers, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Hawaiian Shores from PTI, Kiwi Kiss (retired), Not Quite Navy both from PTI

Accessories: Flower Fusion #5 Die, Picket Fence Die both from PTI, Brown Dew Drops, Woodgrain Embossing Folder from Crafts Too

And Challenge #5 was to take a solid shape, just like Michelle Wooderson did on her make 'n' take, and create your own custom "faux" border! I used my new fave stamp of the day - Flower Fusion #5 to make a little scalloped border all the way round my background panel. This is the only Flower Fusion set I have and I'm loving using it! I also used TESC143 for the sketch and old CC103 to use Cool Caribbean (which I subbed with Soft Sky), Certainly Celery and Elegant Eggplant - what a gorgeous combo this one turned out to be.

Recipe:

Stamps: Flower Fusion #5 from PTI

Papers: Elegant Eggplant cs & DSP from Regals Stack, Certainly Celery, Soft Sky DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Soft Sky (retired) all from SU

Accessories: Oval Nestabilities, Soft Sky Ribbon (retired) from SU

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by! I've done another post for the other 5 challenges so be sure to check that one out too!

All Things Magical and Mythical #119 Featuring Mermaid Birthday Party Treasure from Faery Ink

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. I haven't used a Faery Ink image for ages so...
