A Latte Love

It's time for another pink Christmas card I think! This card is for Saturated Canary's Challenge #57 Distress (not that you can really tell but all of my patterned papers have been distressed with my distressing tool and consequently hidden by all the layers of embellishments :P). It is also for Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #212 to include snow (well I have some snowflakes and lots of frantage to look like snow!), Fussy and Fancy's Challenge #103 to use hearts and for In The Pink's Challenge #33 to use embossing (hence all the frantage, although I do love it!)

And now for the card...

Recipe:

Stamps: Latte Digi Stamp from Saturated Canary, Christmas Circular Sentiments from Lili of the Valley

Papers: Pink Pirouette, Bravo Burgundy (Retired), Whisper White, Subtles DSP Stack (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Butterflies and Letters Patterned Papers from Pion Designs, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, White Glitter Card, Pale Pink Glitter Card both from stash

Inks: Bravo Burgundy (Retired), Regal Rose (Retired), Chalk Marker all from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers

Accessories: Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Double Loops Border Die, Stitched Snowflake Die both from Papertrey Ink, Lace from Stash, Embroidery Thread from Stash, Pearls from stash, White Glitter Felt, Pink Foam Rose both from Hobbycraft, Precious Hearts Dies from Memory Box, Shabby White Frantage Embossing Powder from Stampendous, Frosted Berries, Foam Sprays both from Live & Love Crafts, Snowflake Die from Marianne Craftables, Other Paper Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts - phew!

And that's all form me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Ski Jump!

Although I have never been I would love to go skiing - just don't think I have a natural sense of balance to stay up for very long! I love this stamp from LOTV and thought it would be perfect for a more masculine Christmas card (although I did have to add a touch of ribbon on there!). This card is for Papertake Weekly's Sketch Challenge #85 (I flipped it so my sentiment didn't cover up too much of the image), Just Add Ink's Challenge #193 to add stars and Crafty Little Fairies Challenge to use red, green and gold. I used gold pearlescent card as I have very little gold glitter card (need to rectify that with a shopping trip this week me thinks!) but it looks a bit green-y in the photo but it is gold, honest!

And here's my card...

Recipe:

Stamps: Ski Jump, Christmas Circular Sentiments both from Lili of the Valley

Papers: Real Red, Whisper White, Dashing DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Gold Pearlescent from stash

Inks: Old Olive, Real Red both from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Accessories: Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Seeing Stars Dies from Papertrey Ink, Glistening Snow Writer

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

CAS Christmas Tree

I got this stamp set in my Papertrey Ink order that arrived last week and thought it was perfect for Color Throwdown's Challenge #270 to use this gorgeous colour combo!

And here's my card. (The sentiment looks a bit odd in the photo but I stamped it before embossing the snowflakes so the darker parts are where the embossed snowflakes are! Took me a few attempts to work out why it wouldn't photograph properly too :P)

Recipe:

Stamps: Polka Dot Parade #9 from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, In Colors 2012-14 DSP Stack, Silver Glimmer Card all from Stampin' Up

Inks: Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, Encore Silver all from Stampin' Up

Accessories: Silver Ribbon, Holiday Collection Framelits both from Stampin' Up, Snowflakes Embossing Folder from ? (can't remember or find who made this one - thought it was a Me To You one but can't find it online anywhere!)

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

This week's challenge #22 on Lacy Sunshine's Challenge blog is an Anything Goes challenge so I added it to Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #211 to make a child's Christmas card. I used the fun and cute Eleanor and Pickles Decking The Halls and came up with this card. Not too many embellies as I know kids don't really go for that!

Snow Fun!

I had "snow" much fun making this card! Hehe! I went with a different colour scheme than usual. I tend to gravitate towards pinks all the time and really have to push myself away so I decided to go with a blue and green colour scheme instead and love these shades together. This card is for My Besties UK Challenge to use dots and stripes (as well as being on the image they are on my patterned papers), Scrapbook Stamp Society's Challenge #28 Anything Goes with the option of wet or dry embossing (lots of frantage on this one so wet embossing it was!), My Besties Challenge to use ribbon, twine or any other fiber (I have ribbon and lace) and for My Besties Aussie Challenge #11 to use a die cut and a hand made flower (I have die cut snowflakes as well as the leaves and rolled roses that I made out of the same patterned papers!) Phew!

And here she is - isn't she just a cutie!

Recipe:

Stamps: My Besties IMG910 from Sherri Baldy, Corner and Winter Sentiment Stamps and Die Set COL1342 from Marianne Collectables

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

On White Ice

Another new Papertrey Ink stamp set for you - this time it's On Ice. I ummed and argh-ed over getting this set last Christmas, but must have picked something else, so went for it again this year! I'm really loving it so far and can see so many quick and simple cards being made using it.

This card is for Charisma Cardz Challenge #46 Christmas, The Ribbon Girl's All White Challenge and Make It Monday's Challenge #141 to use heat and stick powder with glitter. I glittered my ice skates and they are just the perfect amount of bling!

And here's my card...I really do struggle with all white cards so the tiny bit of silver helped!

Recipe:

Stamps: On Ice, Just The Ticket both from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Stampers Select White from Papertrey Ink, White Pearlescent from local craft store

Inks: Silver Encore from Stampin' Up, Versamark

Accessories: Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Dazzlin' Diamonds, Heat 'n' Stick Powder all from Stampin' Up, Mat Stack and Layerz #5 Dies, Ticket Border Die, On Ice Die all from Papertrey Ink, Snowflake Embossing Folder from Docrafts (I think)

Mini Blooms Thanks

I picked up my latest Papertrey Ink order very early this morning from the Post Office and inside was this Mini Blooms stamp set - loads of gorgeous little flowers in various styles. Am going to have lots of fun with this set! Anyway...this card is for Color Throwdown's Challenge #269 to use the Autumnal combo below and Papertake Weekly's Challenge to make a thank you card.

And here's my effort... In the photo my brads look different colours, but I swear they look the same in real light! Very bizarre!!!

Sketch Saturday Challenge #286 with Bugaboo

It's time for another great sketch from the fabulous Sketch Saturday Challenge blog and this week we are sponsored by the fantastic

The super prize on offer this week is 7 fantastic Bugaboo Digi's of our winner's choice.

And here is sketch #286 designed by our Queen of Sketches Jen!

And here's my card based on it. I have to admit I do have a Bugaboo image to use, but I printed it way too big for this sketch (should have checked it before I printed it really) and as I haven't got a printer at home, printed it at work and then didn't get chance to repreint it. I will be buying myself a new printer when we move house, but at the minute the house needs sorting out first!

Anyway here's my card....

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to check out this week's challenge and join in the fun too!

Lily The Pink

It's another friend of mine's 50th birthday next week (on the same day as my friend Kim and my friend's husband Simon - still need to make his card!) so I made an A5 sized card as there are quite a few of us who need to sign it and a little one just wouldn't do for a 50th birthday!

This one is for In The Pink's Challenge #32 to use stitching faux or real (I just did faux as I don't know where my OH has actually moved my sewing machine to! Shows how long it's been since I last used it!), The Ribbon Girl's Lovely Lili Challenge for November to add sparkle, Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #210 to use 3 different patterned papers and for Crafty Little Fairies Challenge Top of the Pops - to be inspired by a song.

I got Lily the Pink (from the fact that my card is pink and uses a Lili of the Valley image) stuck in my head. I actually didn't know who sang it so had to google it and apparently it's a band called The Scaffold and Paul McCartney's brother was in it! Here's the video for those of you who don't know the song :)

And after all that here's my card...

And here she is...

This week's challenge #190 at Just Add Ink is to add masking and Color Throwdown's Challenge #267 was to use this cool feeling colour combo. I had no clue what to do with it until I saw this stamp set and this idea instantly popped into my head.
