The Stamping Chef Challenge #61 The Final Anything Goes

It is with a sad heart that this is my last post for The Stamping Chef Challenge blog. As of January 1st The Stamping Chef will be no more due to the new VAT laws that have come into place in the EU affecting lots of small digital companies, such as The Stamping Chef. But there is some light at the end of the tunnel....Tamara has decided to open a new store Slinky Tart and some of the current images will be carried over into her new shop. The challenge blog will not be running any more unfortunately but you will still see us around in blogland using her fabulous slinky images!

So for my final card, I used something a bit different, Cattitude. Just love these cute little cats and you get lots of little bits in this set too. I went for a purple and grey theme and attempted to do some fur on the cats. I love the way the girly cat came out, but the boy cat was a bit harder. Practise, practise, practise I guess!

Recipe:

Stamps: Cattitude from The Stamping Chef

Papers: Concord Crush (Retired), Basic Gray, In Colors 2010-12 DSP Stack (Retired), Neutrals DSP Stack (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Paw Prints paper from local craft store, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

And that's all from me for this last post for the Stamping Chef Challenge blog. I do hope you will pop on over to the blog and check out all the other gorgeous cards from the DT and join in the fun whilst you're there too.

Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?

I will admit I am not a fan of Frozen at all. I did watch it for the second time whilst making this card and I just find it boring! I don't think much of Elsa as a so-called heroine at all. Anna is just TSTL (too stupid to live!) and should have died so many times on her journey to find Elsa. The only characters I thought were funny were Olaf and the reindeer (whatever his name was!). And don't get me started on that Let It Go song! I've heard that more than enough thanks to the kids in my class!

Anyway this is my card for the Sassy Studio Designs Progressive Challenge in their Facebook Group, Dare To Be Sassy Thursday's Challenge #260 to use snow, Bunny Zoe's December Challenge to use buttons, Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #291 Winter Wonderland, Inky Chicks Challenge #44 Winter Wonderland, Natalie & Amy's Challenge #27 Cute & Cuddly Christmas, Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #261 Sing Me A Song and finally for The Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge to use music (The sentiment is the title of a song from Frozen).

And here's my cute little Olaf!

Recipe:

Stamps: Olaf Snowman from Sassy Studio Designs

Papers: Soft Sky, Night of Navy both from Stampin' Up, White Pearlescent card and paper from local craft store, Winter Wishes Patterned Paper from Echo Park, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

And that's all from me for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous Hair Tree!

I just love this image from The East Wind and her hair is just fabulous! I'm not sure whether I should have coloured her hair green or not though, but I really wanted her to have blue hair! Love it!

Let Them Eat Cake

I've been dying to colour this image of Marie Antoinette and her cakes from Aurora Wings for a while now but to be honest, I was a tad scared of her! I thought she would be really hard to do, but in fact she wasn't at all. Just a bit time consuming as there are so many little parts to her.

This card is for Aurora Wings Challenge #10 All That Glitters, Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes and for The Outlaws Twisted Thursday Challenge, Anything Goes.

Recipe:

Stamps: Marie Antoinette from Aurora Wings, Cupcake Collection from Papertrey Ink

Art by MiRan Facebook Challenge #2 for December Anything Goes

Good evening everyone. I hope you've had a good week. I have now broken up for the school holidays and have about 2 weeks off work! Yay! More time for crafting! Love being a teacher at times like this!

Anyway today is the start of the final Art by MiRan Facebook Fan Group Challenge for the month and the year. When we return in the new year we have some fantastic, exciting changes planned for our Facebook challenges, so I hope you'll all join us then too. This fortnight as our second challenge of the month always is, is an Anything Goes challenge.

I chose to make another Christmas card - this time all in purples for my best friend Michele, whose favourite colour is....purple! I used the gorgeous Suzie Snowflakes, which is a stamp designed by Mi Ran for Treasured Times. She has a fantastic range there in rubber stamp form as well as at Whimsy Stamps and then the digi range at the Art by MiRan Etsy store too.

And here she is. I made a huge A4 sized side step card and although it was fiddly at first to get all the folds in the right place, I love it! Think it works so well in this size!

Recipe:

Stamps: Suzie Snowflakes by Art by MiRan @ Treasured Times Stamps, Think Big Favorites #8 from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Silver Glimmer Card all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Winter Wishes Patterned Papers from Echo Park

Inks: Wisteria Wonder from Stampin' Up, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen

Accessories: Silver Satin Ribbon from Stampin' Up, Ice Crystal Border Die, Ice Crystal Dies #1, #2 & #3 all from Joy Crafts, Pearls from The Hobby House, White Liquid Applique

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30
Hair - E43, E44, E47, E49
Eyes - E42, E43, E44
Shoes - E71, E74, E77
Trousers - BV20, BV23, BV25
Hat, Scarf, Gloves & Leg Warmers - V12, V15, V17
Coat - BV0000, BV01, BV02, BV04

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to pop on over to the Art by MiRan Facebook group to check out all the latest cards from our design team and fans and why not join in the challenge this fortnight too. You do need to use an image from Art by MiRan, but it can also include the rubber stamps from Treasured Time and Whimsy Stamps too.

Good morning and welcome to my post for the last challenge of the year from The Paper Shelter Challenge blog. This challenge is an Anything Goes challenge and will last for 3 weeks over the Christmas break. As I'm still in need of Christmas cards (I always send/give out lots), I thought I would use the cute new digi, Waiting For Santa Too, with poor Mrs Claus waiting for Santa to return from the night time deliveries. Isn't she just the cutest little granny?!

I kept my card fairly simple as I wanted to show off the background papers that come with the digi as well - they are such gorgeous colours.

And now it's time to announce the winner of The Paper Shelter blog hop that we had last fortnight to celebrate their 4th birthday!

The random winner of a digi stamp from The Paper Shelter from the comments on my blog was

String Up The Lights

The Outlawz have started a progressive challenge each month in which they provide you with the first digi image for free and if you use it and enter the challenge, you will qualify for the next month's image to use. This month's image is called Tangled Wednesday and was drawn specifically for the challenge by Betty from Simply B Stamps. I just love the expression on her face! She does not look happy with those Christmas lights! I thought I would add lots more Christmas lights to the background so it looked a bit like she was in a tangle there too!

This card is also for A Creative Romance's Anything Goes Challenge, Through The Craft Room Door's Anything Goes Challenge and for Crafty Sentiments Christmas Challenge.

Recipe:

Snuggle Up Izzy

I had a bit of a Christmas card frenzy going on today as I finish work next week so need lots of cards to give out to my work colleagues. Not sure if I have enough or not yet! This first card uses the cute Snuggle Up Izzy from Di's Digi Downloads and is for Digi Designs Christmas Challenge.

It is also for Avenue 613's Challenge #101 Anything Goes (I missed out something from column 3 for the bingo card bit -not sure my white card on the snowflakes count as enough for solid colour card), Papertake Weekly's Paper Play Challenge, Inky Chicks Challenge #44 Winter Wonderland, Creative Inspirations Challenge #298 to use the optional sketch below,  Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Challenge and for The Outlawz Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge to use 1 image, 2 patterned papers and 3 buttons.

And here's the sketch from Creative Inspirations

And here's my attempt on it. I wanted to do something different for the sky rather than my usual copic coloured one, so pulled out my spritzer tool and sprayed a few bits of blue marker over it for a faint sky and then did the same on the tree with a green marker so it looked a bit like the tree was covered in snow. Not sure if it really worked or not though...

Recipe:

Stamps: Snuggle Up Izzy from Di's Digi Downloads, Endless Wishes from Stampin' Up

Papers: Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, In Colors 2010-12 DSP Stack (Retired), Winter Frost DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #129 Snowflakes and Ribbon

Good morning. It's nearly the weekend, which means I have 1 more week at work to go before my holidays start! Woot! It's also time today for another challenge from the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog and this fortnight we are sponsored by Freshly Brewed Designs. Our challenge, should you decide to take it, is an easy one and perfect for the current season - use snowflakes and ribbon. This challenge will last for 4 weeks this time so give the DT a little rest over the holiay season.

Fresh Brewed Designs

I used the cute Snow What Fun to make a more masculine card, but you can still use ribbon on it without it looking all girly and frilly. I add some touches of silver ribbon to my second layer, which imitated the layout of the digi stamp.

Stamps: Snow What Fun from Freshly Brewed Designs, Tremendous Treats: Christmas from Papertrey Ink

In The Pink Challenge #59 Pink Christmas

Exciting news for you today! The lovely Christine has asked me to join the In The Pink Challenge blog as a Pink Lady! I was so thrilled to be asked and of course just had to accept as pink is my favourite colour! Today is my debut as a new DT member and this fortnight we would like you to make a Christmas card, using, of course, our favourite colour PINK!

I used one of my new Lacy Sunshine digis for this challenge and whilst I have seen lots of cards made with her in blue, I think she looks fabulous in pink, don't you?! I added lots of mirror card, and boy it that hard to photograph! I used this cute pompom trim I found in a box of stash and then used the cut off pompoms to add to the centre of the snowflakes. Love it!

Recipe:

Papers: Blushing Bride from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Silver Mirror Card from Dovecrafts, Vintage Frost Basics 3rd, 4th, 5th and 19th of December all from Maja Design

Just remember your card has to have more pink on it than any other colour!

The Stamping Chef Challenge #59 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my latest post for The Stamping Chef's Challenge #59. Our challenge this week as always is an Anything Goes challenge and I have used the gorgeous Rosey for my card this week. I fancied making something other than Christmas cards and Rosey is such a beautiful image that I just had to use her before we say goodbye to The Stamping Chef.

Not sure if you are all aware, but with changes to the VAT laws in Europe, The Stamping Chef are closing down at the end of the year. But don't worry Tamara will be back with her fabulous brand of digi images under a new name, Slinky Tart with some more new digis as well, in her signature style!

Anyway here's my card... Isn't she beautiful with those big eyes?!

Recipe:

Stamps: Rosey from The Stamping Chef, Signature Greetings from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Love Letter DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Inks: Basic Black from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers

You don't have to use a stamp from The Stamping Chef to join in, but you double your chances of winning if you do!

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Sweet December

Good morning and I hope you all had a splendid weekend. Unfortunately mine was full of a head cold and I felt awful for most of it, but I am slowly on the mend, but still quite achy with a very sore nose! I hate being ill and am such a drama queen about it, but this one really hit me hard!

Anyway on to my card for this week's inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik's digital stamps blog. I am using one of the new, gorgeous digis called Sweet December and she is just beautiful, isn't she?! I wanted to give her a very wintery feel so kept her hair white, only adding a few flicks here and there of grey to add a bit of texture to it. Love how it came out!

I kept to a slightly more distressed style using softer colours and whilst these are not my usual colours for Christmas card, I love the Crumb Cake with the red and green.

Recipe:

Stamps: Sweet December from Ching-Chou Kuik, Endless Wishes from Stampin' Up

Lacy Sunshine Challenge #48 Holiday Joy

Good morning and I hope you all had a great week and feel a lot better than I do. I have come down with a really horrible head cold and feel awful. I don't do being sick very well and am a bit of a drama queen about it, but this one just makes my whole head ache and my nose is just so very sore! I hope it goes soon. I don't want to be still ill over Christmas! I have too much to do!

Anyway on to my card for the latest challenge at Lacy Sunshine. Challenge #48 is our last one of the year and will run for almost 4 weeks until the first week of January, so lots of time for you to join in the fun! Our theme this time is Holiday Joy, so that doesn't have to be a Christmas card/project, but any other winter holiday that you might be celebrating.

I did a Christmas card using the gorgeous new Hollyanna Ethereal Enchantress. She's just so cute as are all of these gorgeous girls!
