LeAnn's World 101 Inspiration Post For July

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT inspiration post for LeAnn's World 101. This month I chose to use a digi which is definitely more me than anything else, especially during the summer holidays when I have more free time than usual!  This is Bookworm , who I definitely am too! I have always been a reader ever since I could hold a book. I used to spend my pocket money buying a new book each week as a kid, belonged to a book club in school where you bought stamps each week to add up to buying a book, lived my teenage years with my nose in Tolkien and Terry Pratchett before discovering Dracula by Bram Stoker. That book triggered my love of all things supernatural and paranormal and now I tend to read Urban Fantasy books more than anything else. I am now on my 3rd Kindle (one died and one become too full!) and I have more books on there than I think I will ever manage to read in my lifetime (3000+) but if I don't read everyday, even if it's just for 15 minutes or so, I

Scene It Sunday #8 Featuring Belly Rubs from Sweet November Stamps

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post. This week I have used yet another of my mermaid images from Sweet November Stamps (I just love these images and all the different elements you can put together to make scenic images!).  This one is called Belly Rubs and I also used the reeds and lily pads from the Surfacing Background Builder Set. The sentiment was created using letter stickers from the patterned paper pack I used. I love that the colours went perfectly with the rest of the card!  Recipe: Stamps: Belly Rubs and Surfacing Background Builder Set both from Sweet November Stamps Papers: Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green both from Stampin' Up, Let's Be Mermaids Patterned Papers from Echo Park, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers Accessories: Key Lime Jewel Drops from Nuvo Copics Used: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R30, R20 Hair - RV21, RV13, RV14, RV17, RV69 Eyes - B24, B29 Mouth - RV32, RV34, Blender

Something Else on Saturday #66 featuring Purrfect Day by Heffy Doodle

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. I went a bit mad on buying stamps this month and found this cute set from Heffy Doodle which I had never seen before. I love cats and our cat has a similar cat tree, so I know I will get lots of use out of this set!  i would love to have a huge brood of cats, but I don't think our 10 year old cat would accept any others invading her territory, but once she goes, I will be having a huge collection!  Recipe: Stamps: Purrfect Day from Heffy Doodle Papers: Winter Wisteria from Papertrey Ink, Smoky Slate & Lovely Lilac Prints DSP (Retired) both from Stampin' Up, Ultimate Graphic Paper, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Wisteria Wonder (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Copics Used: Cat Tree - BV00, BV01, BV02, BV04, BV08, BV13, BV17, E30 Floor - BV20, BV31, BV23, BV25 Wall - E40, E41, E42, E43 Grey Cat - T1, T2, T3, T4, T10 Ginger Cat - YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, E79 Brown

The Paper Shelter Summer Challenge Anything Goes

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for this week's challenge from The Paper Shelter . It is our annual Summer challenge, which means it is an Anything Goes challenge. This challenge will last for 4 weeks to give the DT a summer break and it also means that we won't be commenting on your entries this time.  For my card, I used the adorable The Incantation , which is a fairly new release. I love fairies and this one is just gorgeous and was a delight to colour too. I went for a pink and black combo - one of my faves and instead of colouring the background with Copics, I used my pearlescent chalks and I love the softer, shimmer they give to this image. You can't really see in the photo but I also added some sprakle to her wings and the spell smoke!  Recipe: Stamps: The Incantation from The Paper Shelter, Rosie Fairy from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Papers: Melon Mambo, Basic Black & Pop of Pink DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Ca

Scene It Sunday #7 Featuring Hanging With My Gnomies from My Favorite Things

Happy Sunday everyone! For today's Scene It Sunday card, I thought I would use the cute Hanging With My Gnomies set from My Favorite Things. I didn't buy the matching dies (I never do really) as I prefer using my money for more stamps and I quite enjoy fussy cutting my images out, but boy were some of these flowers fiddly to cut!  As the stamps made this a busy card, I kept the sky and grass fairly plain and just cut some card for them. Sometimes a plainer background works!  This card is for The Library Challenge #64 Miniature Garden Grower Creatalicious Challenge #191 Anything Goes Lemon Shortbread Challenge #124 Anything Goes Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Anything Goes Digi Choosday Challenge Week 28 Anything Goes The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Hanging With My Gnomies from My Favorite Things Papers: Pacific Point, Soft Sky (Retired) & Always Artichoke (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Card Blank from Anita's, Make It Colo

Something Else on Saturday #65 Featuring Boba Tea from Mama Elephant

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post! It's the first Saturday of my 6 week summer holiday and I am so ready for the break from work!  I bought this cute Boba Tea set when it was first released by Mama Elephant, stamped and coloured it as soon as I got it, but have only just got round to adding the coloured stamps to a card! We don't have the slimline sized card blanks here in the UK (not that I can find anyway), so I made my own and then added a Slimline Marquee Die from Whimsy Stamps over the top of the patterned paper. I also added some other papers in the window cut outs and as I had cut out lots of boba bubbles, I dotted them all over! I love how cute these little animals are!  This card is for Crafty Friends Challenge #140 Birthdays A Gem of A Challenge Week 15 Anything Goes Crafy Catz Craft Challenge #515 Anything Goes Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 28 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Challenge Week 29 Anything Goes Creative Kn

The Paper Shelter Challenge #436 - Profession or Occupation

Good morning and Happy St Swithin's Day! I only know it's St Swithin's Day today because it is also my birthday, so Happy Birthday to me too! Apparently if it rains today, it will rain for the next 40 days, but if the sun shines instead, it will be sunny for the next 40 days! Come on sun!  Anyway The Paper Shelter 's new challenge starts today and this time we want to see your projects showing something or someone related to a profession or occupation!  I went for something a little different for me and chose to use the Number One Hot Dog . Initially I just die cut the words "You're My" but it didn't look right, so I added the rest and I liked it much  better!  Recipe: Stamps: The Number One Hot Dog from The Paper Shelter Papers: Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up, Ultimate Graphic Paper, Pretty Red Classics Patterned Papers from The Works, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers Accessories: Alphabet Dies from Creative

Scene It Sunday #6 Featuring Fairy Set from The Paper Nest Dolls

Happy Sunday everyone! Boy how quickly this weekend has flown by! I managed to get into the hairdresser's yesterday and my 4 inch dark brown roots are blonde once more! The only downside to bleaching my hair is how quickly those darn roots grow LOL!  This week's Scene It Sunday card uses this cute fairy digital stamp set from The Paper Nest Dolls. I loved putting all the different elements together to colour it up and I then added lots of glitter to everyone's wings for a touch of sparkle too!  This card is for Through the Craft Room Door Challenge Anything Goes Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #209 Fantasy World Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge Ink It Up Creative Moments Challenge #194 Anything Goes Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Anything Goes Digi Choosday Challenge Week 27 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Fairy Set from The Paper Nest Dolls, Fairy Happy from The Greeting Farm  Papers: Bumblebee, Granny Apply Green & Sweet & sour DSP (Retired) all from Stampin'

Something Else on Saturday #64 Featuring Octavia Softsand and Cuddle from Sweet November Stamps

Hello everyone and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post! I am running a bit late today as I forgot to write this post out!  Today's card uses one of Sweet November Stamps' mermaid images, along with a freebie sentiment from them as well. I loved this image - she a bit more unusual for a mermaid with her octopus tail, but the sentiment is so apt for her!  This card is for Creative Fingers Challenge #190 Anything Goes Crafty Catz Challenge #514 Anything Goes Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 27 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Challenge Week 28 Anything Goes Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #475 Anything Goes Southern Girls Challenge Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Octavia Softsand and Cuddle & Own Kind of Beautiful both from Sweet November Stamps Papers: Gorgeous Grape & Islnd Indigo (Retired) both from Stampin' Up, Down By The Sea Patterned Papers from Bo Bunny, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers Accessories: Purple R

Scene It Sunday #5 Featuring Critters on the Savanna from Lawn Fawn

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday. I decided to use one of my unused Lawn Fawn stamp sets for this one (I have quite a few...okay lots...of unused stamp sets!) and was really pleased with how this background came out as I don't colour sunsets very often, so it was definitely a learning process for me!  I am trying to add a few more generic themed cards, so not specifically male or female cards to my stash. My mother-in-law always gets her cards form me and she has something crazy like 16 male grandchildren and great-grandchildren, so I need to include a few more to my stash! I think this one fits the bill!  This card is for 613 Avenue Create Challenge #235 Anything Goes A Gem of A Challenge Week 14 Anything Goes Pattie's Creations Challenge #172 Anything Goes Through The Purple Haze Challenge #169 Anything Goes The Sketchy Challenges #165 Anything Goes A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #119 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Critters on the Savan

Something Else on Saturday #63 Featuring Cute As ABC from Clearly Besotted

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. I'm sharing yet more of my new stamp sets with you all, this time As Cute As ABC Set 1 and Set 2 and As Cute As Can Be. I didn't think I would need another alphabet stamp set when I first saw these, but then I saw all the samples from the DT and knew I had to have them!  I went for a bright, happy birthday card for this one, using one of my DL sized card blanks. I coloured the background with my distress oxide inks and then hand cut all the letters and images once I had coloured them in with my Copics. The card needed something else, so I added the black gems as they stood out brilliantly on that bright yellow and orange background!  This card is for Love To Scrap Challenge #135 Anything Goes Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge #7 Anything Goes Paper FunDay Challenge #19 Anything Goes Crafty Creations Challenge #411 Anything Goes A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge #7 Anything Goes Dream Valley Chal

LeAnn's World 101 Challenge #28 Anything Goes

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from LeAnn's World 101. as always our challenge is an anything goes challenge and whilst you do not have to use an image from LeAnn's World 101, we do love to see them and you can enter as many times as you like if you use one!  I used the gorgeous Katie for my card and made her into a good luck card for one of my good friends who is job hunting at the minute. Fingers crossed the next one she applies for she gets!  Recipe: Stamps: Katie from LeAnn's World 101, Cheering For You from Clearly Besotted Papers: Real Red, Coastal Cabana & Fresh Prints DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Real Red from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Real Red Curly Ribbon from Stampin' Up, Pearls from Simply Creative Copics Used: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R30, R20 Hair - E23, E25, E27, E29 Eyes - E25, E27, E29 Tongue - R20, E04 Aqua - BG53, B

The Paper Shelter Challenge #434 Use A Sentiment

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter . This week our challenge is for you to include a sentiment on your card or project. Although you don't have to use a digi stamp from The Paper Shelter, we do love to see you using them and the prize is increased if the winner has used one too.  For my card this week, I used the adorable Having A Good Time image - I love this little gnome, relaxing in his garden enjoying the sunshine! My mother-in-law asked me for a boy's birthday card the other day and I realised I hardly ever make any so I am now on a mission to include more male themed cards, so you may be seeing more of them in my blog posts now!  Recipe: Stamps : Having A Good Time from The Paper Shelter, Drink Up The Sunshine from My Favorite Things Papers: Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi (Retired) & Chocolate Chip (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, A Hint of A Hoot Raspberry & A Hint of A Hoot Teal Patterne
