Scene It Sunday #79 Featuring Koala Hugs from Mama Elephant

Good morning! Welcome to this week's scene It Sunday post! I bought this stamp set from Mama Elephant ages ago, but never got round to using it as I really didn't know how I was going to put it all together. Sometimes I get a complete mind block and have no idea what to do, so I leave the images I have coloured and come back to them later when the mojo has returned!

I did a bit of a Google search for ideas and the Mama Elephant design team had used a leafy frame die which I really liked, but it's one I don't have, so I made my own using a leaf border die that I do have instead! I really like how it came out, but my Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink really needs reinking so I had to add lots of ink to get it to blend nicely! It wasn't quite the pale blue I wanted though!

Something Else on Saturday #140 Featuring Steampunk Queen of Hearts from Ms. Fits

Good morning and happy Saturday! I can't believe January is virtually over and done with! And what a mad month it has been at work! Covid cases all over the place! Luckily I have managed to avoid it so far - no idea how considering 1/3 of my class had it at one point! Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Anyway onto this week's Something Else on Saturday card. I am so excited that Betty Roberts is creating digi stamps again, but this time her daughter Rio is running the store and the digis are limited to a month's run at a time, so you have to get them while you can before they disappear! This gorgeous gal is Steampunk Queen of Hearts and I made her into an alternative Valentine's card for my boyfriend!

Anyway here is Uptown Girl Ava! I absolutely love this combo of hot pink, orange and dark brown. One of the few times I used orange outside of Hallowe'en creations!

All Things Magical and Mythical #20 Featuring Fairy Tales from Holly Durr

Good morning and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mystical post. This week I am sharing the front cover of this year's reading journal that I have made. It is basically the same as last year's with a few changes for the pages inside. I make my own one as I cannot find exactly what I want in a published version. At least this way I know I will use it. I used last year's all the time and loved being able to see all the books I had read and my quick reviews along with my ARCs (advanced reader copies) for the author's teams that I am part of!

Anyway... this project uses Fairy Tales from Holly Durr which I bought from Sweet Pea Stamps many many years ago before they closed down. Shamefully, I have never used this image before, but it worked perfectly for this year's reading journal's cover!

Something Else on Saturday #137 Featuring Rebecca Raspberry from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Good morning and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post. I don't generally set myself crafting goals at the beginning of each new year, but I am trying this year to use more of what I already have rather than buying more stamps, more dies and more patterned papers, so I have dug out one of my very first Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sets for today's card.

I don't often use the same stamps more than once. No idea why really as they do cost a fair amount of money so I should do to get the most out of them. I suppose as I have so many now after so many years of card making that I keep trying to use new ones each time. But anyway, I really liked going back and using this older set.

And here is she...so different to the first card I made with her, which you can see here.

Good morning and welcome to my first All Things Magical and Mystical post of 2022! It's back to work for me today for a training day before the children come back to school tomorrow! I hope it's not too intense today! Not sure my holiday brain can take it all just yet! LOL

I had a bit of a sort out of my printed and stamped images over the Christmas holidays and found loads of images that I haven't used, so I am now trying to make my way through some of these older ones as well as all the stamp sets I have yet to use!
