Papertrey Ink's April 2011 Blog Hop

It's time again for Papertrey Ink's Monthly Blog Hop and this month is dedicated to all the boys and men in our lives! Now's your chance to create Father's Day projects, boy birthday cards and more to build up your stash! Focus on masculine color schemes, fresh pattern combinations, understated embellishments and unique uses of images you may already have in your stash!

I have ordered loads of the new boys stamps and dies, but they have not yet arrived and with all the bank holidays we're having at the moment (2 this weekend and 2 more next weekend) I'm not expecting customs to push it through too quickly! So I pulled out my fairly new Enjoy the Ride set and combined it with old colour combo CC04 from SCS which was to use Only Orange and Ballet Blue, which I swapped out for Orange Zest and Blueberry Sky from PTI instead. The layout is from My Time Made Easy's Pretty Patterns Challenge #6 as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Enjoy the Ride from PTI

Papers: Orange Zest, Blueberry Sky, Stampers Select White, Halloween Prints all from PTI, Chocolate Chip from SU

Inks: Pumpkin Pie from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Zig Zag Punch from Martha Stewart, Buttons from Elzybells, Chocolate Chip Ribbon (retired) from SU, 3D gloss, Jute twine, Sunshine Impressions Plat both from PTI

Thanks for looking and hope you all have fun with this month's blog hop too!

Sharing on a Sunday

Just a handful of cards I made today.

This first one was quick and simple! It was for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #44 and CR84FN25 to use red, aqua and white. I so need to get some more Waltzing Mouse Stamps as I only have 3 sets and constantly have to use the same ones over and over for these sketches. It's payday in a few days so guess what I'll be doing Thursday morning?!

This is the gorgeous inspriation swatch from CR84FN...

And here's my card...

Recipe:

Stamps: Victorian Frippery from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: Tempting Turquoise, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Tempting Turquoise, Riding Hood Red both from SU

Accessories: Riding Hood Red ribbon (retired), Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder both from SU, Fancy Labels Nestabilities, Mermaid's Tears Zoomz from Stamp Galaxy (like Dew Drops)

My next card is for Just Magnolia Challenge #103 for the sketch and Colour Create's Challenge #69 to use pink, blue and brown. I used another pack of gorgeous papers from my stash that I've hardly touched!

Recipe:

Stamps: Just The Ticket, Delightful Doilies both from PTI, Beautiful Tilda from Magnolia

Papers: Bashful Blue, Soft Suede both from SU, Copics White, Capella Paper Pack from Basic Grey

Inks: Bashful Blue, Soft Suede both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Delightful Doilies Die, Just The Ticket Border Die both from PTI, Lace from Stash, White Rose from Magnolia, Blue Roses from eBay, Frosted Lace Stickles

My next card is for Sweet Sunday's Sketch Challenge #114 and old CC52B to use Basic Black, Handsome Hunter, Bashful Blue and Regal Rose.

Recipe:

Stamps: Four Of A Kind, Fillable Frames #9 both from PTI

Papers: Handsome Hunter (retired), Basic Black, Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Sweet Always DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Handsome Hunter (retired), Bashful Blue, Regal Rose all from SU

Accessories: Bashful Blue ribbon (retired), Beautiful Wings Embosslit both from SU, Circle Nestabilities, Candyfloss Zoomz from Stamp Galaxy (like Dew Drops)

My final card for today is for Paper Pal Arts Challenge #90 for the sketch, Just Add Ink's Challenge #65 to Just Add Friendship and Totally Hues #6 to use Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse and Raspberry Fizz. I had to do a few ink subs on this one as I haven't got all the PTI inks and my Aqua Mist was binned last week as it was so dry nothing was coming out and I haven't got the reinker. I'm still desperately waiting for PTI to bring out their reformulated inks, so have to use similar SU colours for now. I did add a vellum sentiment strip to this one, but the sentiment didn't show up too well, so I had to put it on some card - I will one day get my vellum to work the way I want it to!

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Blooms II, Friends 'Til the End both from PTI

Papers: Simply Chartreuse, Lemon Tart, Raspberry Fizz, Stampers Select White all from PTI, Vellum Paper from SU

Inks: Raspberry Fizz from PTI (this one is running out now as well), Kiwi Kiss, Soft Sky, Barely Banana (all retired) all from SU, Versamark

Accessories: Sunshine Impression Plate from PTI, Clear Embossing Powder from SU

And that's all for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

...and Butterflies

Just a few cards I made this week with butterflies on.

My first one is for Make It Monday #11 to use the PTI dies backwards so they emboss the cardstock instead of cutting it. Not sure if you can see, but I embossed the Mat Stack #3 die onto the white card, then masked it to stamp the background before stamping the Mat Stack 3 and Round & Round images in the embossed area. I also used the colours from old Totally Hues #1 - Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse and Harvest Gold.

Recipe:

Stamps: Mat Stack 3 Collection, Round & Round, Background Basics: Twinkle all from PTI

Papers: Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores both from PTI, SU Markers in Green Galore and Summer Sun

Accessories: Hibiscus Burst Ribbon, Hawaiian Shores Button, Mat Stack 3 die both from PTI, Yellow Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel

My next card is for Taylored Expressions Sketch #137 (I swapped the orientation of the oval round to fit my sentiment better though) and Play Date Cafe's Challenge #78 to use red, light blue and light pink. I found this gorgeous pack of Stella Rose papers from My mind's eye in my pile that are just lush! I have umpteen of these 6 x 6 paper packs (I bought 5 more on Thursday - tut tut. I really should be using up my old stuff, but I just couldn't resist. Have you seen the new Echo Park papers - they are divine!)

Recipe:

Stamps: Make A Wish from PTI

Papers: Real Red, Baja Breeze both from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI, Stella Rose DSP from My Mind's Eye

Inks: Baja Breeze from SU

Accessories: Medium Scallop Die, Medium Butterfly Die, Signature Series Butterfly Dies all from PTI, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Real Red button (retired) from SU, Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities

My next one is for Viva La Verve's April Sketch #4 and Free For All #61 to use orange. I used another new pack of papers - Milton & Co from Wild Rose Studio for this one - another pack of gorgeous papers all in orange, green and brown. This sketch wasn't the easiest to do either (especially while trying to watch Grease on TV last night! It took basically the whole of the film to make, but part of that time was spent singing along! He he)

Recipe:

Stamps: All About You from PTI

Papers: Certainly Celery, Peach Parfait, Whisper White all from SU, Milton & Co DSP from Wild Rose Studio

Inks: Certainly Celery, Peach Parfait both from SU

Accessories: Peach Parfait ribbon, Scallop Border Punch both from SU, Doily Details Die, 1 3/4" Limited Layers Circle Die both from PTI

And my final card doesn't really have butterflies on but there are some on the patterned papers at the bottom! I made 4 of these quick cards for my MIL to give out for Easter and thought they came out quite cute!

Recipe:

Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers, Mat Stack 4 Collection both from PTI

Papers: Barely Banana, Pale Plum (both retired) both from SU, Stampers Select White, Egg Hunt Patterned Paper pack both from PTI

Inks: Pale Plum, Barely Banana (both retired) both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Mat Stack 4 die, 1 3/4" Limited Layers Circles die from PTI

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Flowers...

Just a few challenge cards I've made this week with flowers on!

This first one is my second attempt at doing My Time Made Easy's Pretty Palette #5 to use white, green and orchid. My first card was just ugly! Not sure what happened but it was missing something and the patterned paper didn't work so I binned that one and did this one instead. My first time using these tulips too - don't they just look pretty?!

Recipe:

Stamps: Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers both from PTI

Papers: Orchid Opuence, Mellow Moss (both retired) from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI, DSP from Kaisercraft

Inks: Orchid Opuence, Mellow Moss (both retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Mellow Moss ribbon (retired) from SU, 3D gloss, Lace from Cuddly Buddly

My next card is for A Passion for Papertrey's Wedding card challenge, Mojo #187 for the sketch, CC319 to use Concord Crush, Crumb Cake and Ivory and for Papertake Weekly's Spots n Stripes challenge - you could use either one or both. I just went for the spots. Not my usual colour choice for a wedding card, but I think it looks quite elegant - what do you think?

Recipe:

Stamps: Round & Round, Polka Dot Basics II both from PTI

Papers: Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake, Concord Crush cs & DSP from hostess pack, Elegant Soiree DSP all from SU

Inks: Concord Crush

Accessories: EK Success border punch, Button and embroidery thread from stash, In Bloom Impressions Plate from PTI, Concord Crush ribbon, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch all from SU

My last flowery card is for SC329 for the sketch, Stampin' Royalty's Let's Get Wet challenge to use watercolouring and Color Throwdown's Challenge #138 to use navy, white and a colour of your own choice. I just had to pull out my Springtime Vintage papers for this one - can't get enough of these at the minute! I used my new Fun Flowers die as well to cut out some of the medium sized flowers from watercolor paper and then used my ink pads and aqua painter to colour them in so that I would get a feathered look to the middle of the flowers. I love how these turned out!

Recipe:

Stamps: None! (I do need to add a sentiment I think though!)

Papers: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Watercolor Paper, Springtime Vintage DSP all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy both from SU

Accessories: Whisper White Satin Ribbon and buttons, Fun Flowers Sizzix Die all from SU

And that's all my flowery cards for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Manly Cards

These are my more manly cards from this week.

My first one is for Play Date Cafe's Colour Challenge #77 to use green, brown and white, Stampin' Royalty's Challenge #67 - Spring has Sprung and for Free For All #35 to use flaps, so I made a joy fold card. I needed a couple of manly SUO cards for my workshop next week and these challenges were ideal.

Recipe:

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Thank You Kindly both from SU

Papers: Old Olive, Garden Green, Whisper White, Woodland Walk DSP, Soft Suede DSP from the Neutrals Stack all from SU

Inks: SU Markers in Old Olive, Garden Green, Soft Suede

Accessories: Linen Thread, Spritzer, Oval Punches, 1 3/8" circle punch

My next one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #64 to use colours from your favourite chocolate bar wrapper, old Mojo #84 and Papertrey Princess Ren-Yi's challenge to use stripes. My fave chocolate bar is Dream from Cadbury's and this is the wrapper - blue, vanilla and brown. It's heaven in a little bar!

And here's my card:

Recipe:

Stamps: Enjoy The Ride from PTI

Papers: Marina Mist cs and DSP from Subtles Pack, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip DSP from Neutrals Pack all from SU

Inks: Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip both from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Buttons from Elzybells, Brads from stash, Circle Nestabilities, Very Vanilla ribbon from SU, 3D Gloss from Anita's

My next one is for Sweet Sunday's Sketch #113, Free For All #60 to use a furniture stamp and something old (both my ribbon and buttons have been retired for a while now) and CC57 to use Bordering Blue, So Saffron and a neutral - I chose retired Close To Cocoa. Now I'm not odd stamping a blue cat, because in about 4 weeks time we're picking up our cute little Blue Britsh Shorthair cat and this blue is almost a perfect match for her - take a peek. (Not sure which one is ours in this picture though :P)

And here's my card:

Recipe:

Stamps: On My Couch Additions from PTI

Papers: Bordering Blue (retired), Close To Cocoa (retired), Whisper White, Petals & Paisley DSP (retired) all from SU

Inks: Bordering Blue, Close to Cocoa (both retired), So Saffron all from SU

Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Corner Rounder Punch, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Theatre Ribbon, Close To Cocoa buttons (both retired) from SU

And my last manly card is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #3 for April, Color Throwdown's Challenge #137 to use teal, Summer Sun and celery.

Recipe:

Papers: Summer Sun, Spring Fling, Bali Breeze DSP (all retired) Certainly Celery all from SU, Stamper's Select White from PTI

Inks: Summer Sun, Taken With Teal (both retired), Certainly Celery all from SU

Accessories: Oval Punch from SU, Teal ribbon from Anita's, Zig Zag Punch from Martha Stewart, Gems from stash

And that's all for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Girly Cards

I've had a ton of crafting time this week, what with being on holiday and all, but I haven't gotten round to blogging them all until now. These are my more girly cards from this week.

My first one is for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #43 and CR84FN24 to use light blue, aqua and cream. I used Soft Sky which is one of my fave retired SU blues and Aqua Mist from Papertrey Ink, but unfortunately my ink cube is so bone dry I couldn't get anything out of it! I hope PTI bring out their new ink pads soon. This is the pretty inspiration piccy from CR84FN.

And here's my card for these challenges:

Accessories: Beautiful Blooms Dies #2, Fillable Frames #3 die, Aqua Mist Ribbon and Buttons all from PTI, Baker's Twine from The Ribbon Reel

My next card is for My Time Made Easy Pretty Pattern Challenge #5 and Pretty Palette #4 to use peach, kraft, seafoam and ivory (I have no idea what colour seafoam really is so went with Mellow Moss which kind of matched the sample on the blog! Just realised I missed the deadline for this one - that's why I should have blogged more this week!). It is also for Truly Scrumptious' Challenge #55 to go vintage, Papertake Weekly's Dimensional Challenge (I popped Cheeky's head up on dimensionals) and Farm Fresh Friday's Distressing Challenge.

My next one is for Magnolia-licious' Challenge #6 to use pink and green, Totally Tilda's Challenge #20 to use a Tilda from around the world but not England (Spanish Tilda is the ony one I have, but she is a cutie), Just Magnolia's Challenge #102 to make a birthday cake in honour of their blog-birthday and for old Mojo #35 for the sketch.

And my final girly card is for Paper Pal Arts Challenge #81 to use flowers, SC328 for the sketch, CC318 to use So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Pear Pizzazz and for Free For All #59 to use embedded embossing. I have never done this technique before but it looks fab!

And that's all my girly cards for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

A few SUO cards

I have a SU workshop next for a lovely group of ladies and thought I'd better make a few samples for it. And as always I incorporated a few challenges too!

My first card is for Waltzing Mouse Stamps Sketch Challenge #42 and CR84FN23 to use light pink, black and cream - one of my fave combos! I found this tutorial through another blog using the owl punch to make this gorgeous rose - what a fab idea! And for a change I made a DL sized card - can't remember the last time I made one this size!

Recipe:

Stamps: Style Beautiful, Curly Cute both from SU

Papers: Pretty in Pink Textured, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Lap of Luxury DSP all from SU

Inks: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Owl Punch, Crimper, Scallop Circle Punch all from SU, Diamond Stickles - oops not SUO then!

My next one is for CC51. I wanted to make one of these tulip cards using the wing from the bird punch as I've never done one, so just made a quick little 4 inch square card!

Recipe:

Stamps: Trendy Trees from SU

Papers: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant DSP from Regals Pack all from SU

Inks: Old Olive from SU

Accessories: Very Vanilla Tafetta Ribbon, Bird Punch both from SU

And my final card for today is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #63 to use the given photo as inspiration. I took the colours from it and used red, yellow and green. The sketch is from Sweet Sunday's Challenge #112 as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Cottage Garden from SU

Inks: Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz all from SU

Accessories: Oval Punches, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Pear Pizzazz Ribbon, Bitty Buttons and punch

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Feeling Blue???

Nope I'm not, but I've been using blue a lot the past couple of days and really like how it looks on cards. I tend to use blue for masculine cards more than anything, probably because I prefer pinks and purples myself. But these blues were all for more feminine cards, and do look pretty, even if I do say so myself.

My first one is for Mojo Monday Challenge #186 for the sketch, old Totally Hues Challenge #2 to use Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Raspberry Fizz and Dark Chocolate and for Make It Monday #10 to use PTI dies to make a mask. I used both the medium butterfly and Signature Series butterfly die to ink up and then stamp over with my new beautiful Twinkle set.

Recipe:

Stamps: Background Basics: Twinkle, Fillable Frames #1 both from PTI

Papers: Ocean Tides, Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist, Stampers Select White all from PTI

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky (retired - my Aqua Mist is all but dried up now and I have no reinker)

Accessories: Signature Series: Butterfly Die, Medium Butterfly Die, Victorian Lace Border Die, Buttoned Up #2 Die, Background Basics: Diamonds Impression Plate, Polka Dot Basics II Impression Plate all from PTI, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon (retired), Oval Punches all from SU, Chocolate Baker's Twine from Martha Stewart

My next blue card is for old Mojo Monday Challenge #88 for the layout and CC317 to use Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz. I really didn't think I would go for this Baby Blossoms set when it first appeared in the new mini catalogue, but I have seen some really beautiful cards made with it and I'm really liking it now!

Recipe:

Stamps: Baby Blossoms, Perfect Punches from SU

Papers: Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Springtime Vintage DSP all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz all from SU

Accessories: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Sweet Buttons Embosslits, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Curly Label Punch all from SU

My next card is for old Mojo Monday Challenge #87 and Color Throwdown's Challenge #136 which was to use Orange, Soft Sky and Kraft. As I'm trying to make a few samples for my workshop next week I swapped the colours for some current ones and used Peach Parfait, Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake, which is kraft by another name!

Recipe:

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Curvy Verses both from SU

Papers: Peach Parfait cs & DSP from hostess pack, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Peach Parfait, Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake all from SU

Accessories: Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Sweet Buttons Embosslits, Distressing Tool all from SU

And my final card is not for any challenges at all, believe it or not! I made this one as I had seen some many quilted ones using the new gorgeous Springtime Vintage DSP and just had to do one in blue. I'm also going to do a pink one using the Rose Red papers as well when I get a chance!

Recipe:

Stamps: Baby Blossoms, Sincere Salutations both from SU

Papers: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Springtime Vintage DSP all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy both from SU

Accessories: Top Note Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Sprintime Vintage Buttons all from SU

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Just a few cards I made today that kind of fit this old wedding day saying. I have new stamps and ribbons etc, some old stuff, nothing really borrowed except for sketch and color challenges and my last card is blue!

This first card is for My Time Made Easy's Pretty Patterns Challenge #4 for the sketch and Pretty Palette Challenge #3 to use white, tangerine, light blue and aqua. I'm also entering this one in Papertake Weekly's Anything Goes Challenge with something new as the extra option - these are my new stamps, embossing folder and seam binding ribbon all from the SU Mini catalogue.

Recipe:

Stamps: Baby Blossoms, Sincere Salutations both from SU

Papers: Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango DSP from Brights Stack all from SU

Inks: Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango all from SU

Accessories: Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Square Lattice Impressions Folder, Scallop Trim Border Punch all from SU

My next one is for A Passion For Papertrey's Springing into Spring Challenge, Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for April and for Paper Pal Arts Challenge #88 to use Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz. I thought these colours were just lovely for an Easter card!

And my last card for today is for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #136, Play Date Cafe Challenge #76 to use bright blue, light blue and bright green and for Farm Fresh Friday's Let's Hear It For The Boys Challenge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Skater Ian from The Greeting Farm, Signature Greetings from PTI

Inks: Pacific Point from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Cloud Dies from PTI, Scallop Edge Punch, Pacific Point Ribbon (retired) both from SU, Circle Nestabilities, Button from Papermania, White Felt from Hobbycraft

And I thought I would give you a little sneak peek at my swaps for Monica and Bekka SU training event that I'm going to tomorrow. The theme is the new mini catalogue so I used my Beautiful Wings and Buttons Embosslits dies for them! Nice and simple as I had to do 40 of them! That's a lot of cutting out!

And that's all for today folks! I'll be far too busy tomorrow to do any other challenges so will have to do some on Monday! I'm on school holidays now for just over 2 weeks so plenty more time for crafting - yay!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sharing on a Sunday - Red and Pinks

Just a few more cards I made this weekend that use either red or pink!

This first one is for Viva La Verve's Sketch #1 for April, Color Throwdown's Challenge #135 to use red, black, yellow and cream and for Farm Fresh's Challenge In With The New to use something new in honour of the new challenge blog for The Greeting Farm. And my final project for this weekend is my Easter gift to my work colleagues and friends. I made 12 of these all together. They were really fun to make, especially as I kept dropping the mini eggs as I was filling them so just had to eat those ones! I bought 3kg of mini eggs, not really knowing how many eggs would weigh that much and OMG I had trillions! And after making 12 of these boxes and making 29 little tissue paper bundles with 10 eggs in each for the children in my class I still have about 1/3 of the bag left! Oh well, more for me to eat I guess hehe!

This one is for Just Add Ink's Challenge #62 to just add a box or bag and for PTI Princess Sue P's Easter Challenge. I was waiting for my Friendship Jar Spring Fillers to arrive before making this one as I knew I wanted that cute little chick on the box! And I guess this one could also be for PTI Princess Sue R's Spring Cleaning Challenge as well as all the acetate pieces came from the PTI stamp sets too. I have a huge bag full of them as you never know when you might need a little bit!

Recipe:

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Friendship Jar Spring Fillers both from PTI, A Good Egg from SU

Papers: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip both from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI, Acetate sheet from PTI stamp sets

Inks: Chocolate Chip from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Oval Punches all from SU, Oval Nestabilities

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Gimme a green card!

I would love a green card actually - I will move to America one day, ideally to Manhattan but I know I haven't got THAT sort of money, so I guess it will be somewhere nice with tons of land and a huge house, so I can have my own crafting room.

Anyways, just a few green cards I made this weekend. This first one is for Sweet Sunday's Sketch Challenge #111 and CR84FN22 to use kraft, brown and green. I have a SU workshop coming up in just over 2 weeks so I thought I better make a couple of samples for it as I hardly do any SUO cards nowadays. This one is a ASUO (Almost Stampin Up Only) card as I did have to use my nesties for the circle. This is the inspiration swatch from CR84FN and isn't that wreath just gorgeous?!

And here's my card for it. I attempted watercolouring with the SU watercolor paper and pencils that I won at Monica and Bekka last training event. I'm not really sure about having brown flowers as to me it means they're dead flowers, but there were brown ones in the DSP pack so I guess they must be ok LOL

Recipe:

Stamps: Growing Green, Curly Cute both from SU

Papers: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper, Woodland Walk DSP all from SU

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Garen Green, Watercolor Pencils all from SU

Accessories: Curly Label Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon all from SU, Circle Nestabilities

My next one is for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #41 which was really to make a set of 4 mini cards and CC115 to use Certainly Celery, Vintage Violet (which I subbed with Perfect Plum) and Old Olive. Another SUO to add to my samples! To make my flowers I stamped and punched out 4 of the scalloped flower then folded each in quarters before gluing to another scallop circle in Perfect PLum. I stitched the button on so it held the flowers down a bit in the centre. Although, they don't look it in the photo, they do look a lot more 3D.

Recipe:

Stamps: En Francais, Printed Petals, Just Believe all from SU

Papers: Perfect PLum, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum both from SU

Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Bird Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Old Olive Buttons, Linen Thread all from SU

My next one is probably more of a pink card than a green card, but it has a bit of green in it! This one is for Totally Hues Challenge #5 to use Sweet Blush, Scarlet Jewel and New Leaf (what a gorgeous combo this one turned out to be!), SC326 and for PTI Princess Sue's Spring Cleaning Challenge.  I am a complete hoarder so I have tons of the tissue paper that PTI wrap the stamp sets in and for once I have used it for something other than wrapping jewellery in. I cut out 4 of the Signature Series flowers and stamped them with my new Twinkle set for a cute little embellie!

Recipe:

Stamps: Flutterby Friend, Background Basics: Twinkle both from PTI

Papers: New Leaf, Scarlet Jewel, Sweet Blush, Stampers Select White, Dotty Biscotti Patterned Paper all from PTI

Inks: Scarlet Jewel, New Leaf both from PTI, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

Accessories: Signature Series Flower Die, Victorian Lace Border Die, New Leaf Ribbon, Diamonds Impression Plate, Scarlet Jewel Button all from PTI, Embroidery thread from stash, Square Nestabilities, Diamond Stickles

And my final green card is for A Passion for Papertrey's Hey Baby Challenge, which was to make a card for a new baby (I can't actually believe that I don't have a baby set at all from PTI - I don't do babies, they scare me :P, so I had to wait until my new goodies arrived on Friday so I could use my new little bird and birdhouse stamps from the Tag It #2 set!). This one also uses the sketch from Truly Scrumptious' Challenge #54, CC316 to use Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist and for Free For All #58 to use a house!

Recipe:

Stamps: Tag It #2, Everyday Classics both from PTI

Papers: Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery DSP (retired) all from SU, Stampers Select White from PTI

Inks: Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery all from SU

Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Baja Breeze Ribbon (retired) all from SU, Doily Details Die, Limited Layers 1 3/4" Circle Collection Die both from PTI, Card Candy from Craftworks Cards

And that's all my green cards for today folks! Thanks for stopping by!
