Snow White

I am a big sucker for all the traditional fairy tales and just fell in love with this image of Snow White from The Paper Shelter when I saw it. I also got the Red Riding Hood one too! This card is for The Paper Shelter's Challenge #146 to use punches and die cuts, for Scrapbook Stamp Society's Challenge #35 Anything Goes with handmade flowers and for Kit and Clowder's February Challenge to use a coloured image. I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the flowers and then I curled some rolled roses to go in the centres of them. I love how they look!

My Little Rosebud

I decided to pull out my Silhouette Portrait machine today as it was starting to get a bit dusty and I got comments from my other half yesterday as well that I hadn't used it in ages. Sometimes I have the exact die cuts I need so don't need to use it, but I do love having thee freedom to change the sizes of the die cuts.

This card is for My Besties Bingo Challenge - I used pink, ribbon and flowers, for Totally Gorjuss' Challenge #224 to use twine (ok so I only used a little bit on my buttons, but it counts right?!) and for Fussy and Fancy's Challenge #108 for the sketch below. I am on the B design team for Fussy and Fancy, so strictly speaking it wasn't my turn, but thought I would play along today anyway.

And here's my card with lots of Silhouette die cuts too. The base, first layer, sentiment, doily, flourishes and flowers are all Silhouette dies.

James on his laptop

It was my friend's son's 15th birthday last week (and boy has that time flown by!), but I haven't the chance to go over to her's until tomorrow, so I thought I would make Scott a new card for his birthday with one of my new stamps. This card is for Sketch and Stash's Challenge #133 to use the sketch below. My new stash is my James stamp and my old stash is the Soft Sky patterned paper which I have had for about 4 years or whenever it was that Soft Sky was an in-color for Stampin' Up.

This card is also for Crafty Little Fairies One For The Boys Challenge and for Colour Me's Challenge #8 to use the lovely cool colour combo below.

And here's my James. Not too fussy and just right for a 15 year old I think!

Recipe:

Thank you Berry Much

This fortnight's challenge on My Besties UK was called You're Berry Sweet and I hunted all through my folder, but alas no Berry Besties were printed. I tend to print one of each image, but never remember to print a new one when I use one! I did find a cute image with a berry on top of a cupcake so went with that one instead. This card is also for The Ribbon Girl's Colour Challenge for February - to use red.

And here's my card! I made my own patterned paper using my strawberry stamp, but you can only see bits of it here and there so I added a few more as embellishments.

Sassy and Fabulous Lizabeth Rockabilly

I had enough time today to actually enter Lacy Sunshine's Challenge #27 to use lots of layers - just perfect for me as I love my layers! i really wanted to use this gorgeous Lizabeth Rockabilly digi and went for a very bright hot pink and lime green combo.I thought it was a bit too much at first but I totally love it! I think theere's just enough white to balance it out hehe.

Birthday Blessings

Another quick flowery card. This time it's for Viva La Verve's Sketch #2 for February and for Colour Me's Challenge #7 to use the colour combo below. I just had to add a bit of Smoky Slate to it though to vary it up a bit.

And here's my card - a nice easy sketch this week.

Get Well Soon

I never have any Get Well cards on hand so thought I would use ColourQ's Challenge #228 to make a soft, muted one with their colour combo this week. I did swap Cool Caribbean for Pool Party though as that's the closest I had.

I went for a fairly simple card as well with a few flowers.

Fabulous Tilda

I just love this new Tilda stamp - I think she looks fabulous! This card is for Marvelous Magnolia's Challenge #61 Seeing Red, Viva La Verve's Sketch #1 for February and for Charisma Cardz Challenge #4 to be inspired by a movie. Even my boyfriend managed to guess this one. Got it yet?

And here's my fabulous Tilda! And in case you haven't guessed it's the scene from Pretty Woman when Edward takes Vivian to the opera and she wears the most gorgeous red dress. I would so love a necklace like the one she wore as well, but I think it's just a little out of my price range hehe! Couldn't get her hair right on this one today though - I think one of my grey Copics must be running out as it started to go all sticky and wouldn't blend at all. Will have to see if I have a reinker or not.

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda in Evening Dress from Magnolia, Signature Series: Dress Form from Papertrey Ink

Papers: Real Red, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Yours Truly Patterned Papers from Echo Park, Copic X-Press It Blending Card

Floor - C00, C1, C2

And that's all from me for today folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Wix Hearts A Blaze

Lacy Sunshine's Challenge #26 this fortnight is to use a sentiment. The sentiment I have used is actually printed on one of the patterned paper sheet in the More Amour pack from Stampin' Up, but I have never found a use of it until now! I think it fits perfectly with this cute image! This card is also for A Creative Romance's Challenge Let's Get Sentimental, for Sketch & Stash's Challenge #28 to use the sketch below and for Whimsy Stamps Challenge #68 Love Is In The Air.

And here's my card - a fairly simple one as I wanted Wix to take the centre stage! My old stash is the patterned paper and ribbon - they both retired from Stampin' Up last October and my new stash is my new digi which I bought at the end of January, but this is the first time I have used her.

Recipe:

Stamps: Wix Hearts A Blaze digi from Lacy Sunshine Stamps

For You With Love

This week's challenge on Crafty Little Fairies is to use teddies so I just had to pull out one of my LOTV teddy stamps - love these! This card is also for The Ribbon Girl's February Lovely Lili Challenge to use love/romance (I went with sending lots of love. Now that Valentine's is over there seems no point in making any more cards for it), for Deep Ocean's Challenge #71 Love Is All Around and for The Sketchy Challenge #67 to make up your own sketch.

And here's my card - a fairly straight forward sketch with lots of flowers and butterflies. See that pretty little hat pin too? I made that with a load of beads I bought last weekend from my local craft store - thought it might be cheaper to make my own. £28 later and me thinks it might not be any more! At least I can match them a bit more now than the small collection I have that never seems to include the colour I need!

Queen of Hearts

I absolutely loved Alice in Wonderland as a child and must have read the book a trillion times, so when La-La Land Crafts brought out their own Marci and Luka versions of some of the characters I just had to get them!

Anyway this card is for Papertake Weekly's With A Heart challenge, Scrapbook Stamp Society's Challenge #34 Anything Goes with a heart and is inspired by La-La Land Crafts With Love post too.

I wanted to have a rich feel to this card (Marci is a queen after all) and pulled out some gold glitter card and used lots of hearts, but it took me ages to find the right patterned paper for it all. The heart doily looked a bit lost until I had the idea to back it with some glitter card and it really does make it stand out!

Anyway here she is...

Stamps: Queen of Hearts Marci digi from La-La Land Crafts

Papers: Real Red, Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Copic X-Press It Blending Card, Yours Truly Patterned Papers from Echo Park, Gold Glitter Card from local craft store

Violet Trifold

I saw this card style on Pinterest so thought I would give it a go today for my Lacy Sunshine challenge and whilst it was quite time consuming in getting all the layers cut to the right size, I totally love how it came out. I probably haven't used the correct way to make it, but I did it my way (as Frank Sinatra would say!) and it came out pretty fine!

Anyway this card is for Lacy Sunshine's Facebook challenge to use the digi stamp Violet, which Heather was giving away for free just for this competition! She's just so generous, constantly giving away her gorgeous images (not that that stops me buying more every month!)

This is the card closed...

Good morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday. This week I have used this cute golfing mice image from Di's Digi Stamps, ...
