Fantasy Friday #26 Featuring Rory's Magical Night by Color of Love aka Lacy Sunshine

Good afternoon and welcome to today's Fantasy Friday post. This week I am sharing a gorgeous scene from Color of Love formerly known as Lacy Sunshine. I won a couple of these images in a blog challenge a while ago and I have slowly been colouring this one up when I get the chance. It is an A5 sized image, but I finally finished it this week!

Another one to add to my colouring collection - I will get frames for them all one day!

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge GDT Post Challenge week 3 Anything Goes

Good morning and welcome to my final GDT post for the Colour Crazy Challenge blog. I have enjoyed being part of this team, but we have a lot of changes coming up at work after half term and until I know how much work that entails, I have decided not to continue my GDT post. Thank you to Ruth and the rest of the team for having me for the last 3 months!

This week the sponsor is Lemon Shortbread and I chose to use the cute Heart Balloon Girl digi stamp for my card. I thought she looked quite thoughtful in the image, so added a thinking of you sentiment. Quite a simple card for me, but I love the colours and how that balloon pops against the sky.

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for Little Miss Muffet Stamps. As you may all know, sadly Barbara has decided to close down the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store for a while, but she has got some new rubber stamps coming out today, just for a few days.

I used the Mason Jar Snow Globe stamp and Polka Dot Pals Shania, which is no longer available, but any of the other Polka Dot Pals stamps would work brilliantly with the Snow Globe.

Lawn Fawn Santa and His Reindeer Double Slider Surprise Card

Good evening! I managed to squeeze in some time for non DT crafting today, so I could join in the latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge, which closes tonight! The challenge is to use critters and as I already had these reindeer from Tobaggan Together coloured up, I thought I would use them with the Oh What Fun stamp and make another of these fun double slider surprise cards. They are such fun to make!

Anyway here is my card closed...

And opened... I tried hard to squeeze all 7 reindeer on, but it just looked to cramped and messy so Santa bear will have to make do with 6!

Anyway...here she is. I used some old retired papers from Stampin' Up and then my previously unused Twinkle Star die from Creative Expressions, which was the perfect background for her!

Little Miss Muffet Stamps Inspiration Post

Good morning and welcome to this week's Little Miss Muffet Stamps Inspiration Post. I coloured this cutie up a while ago and never got round to adding her to a card, so her she is today. This cute mermaid is Polka Dot Pals Brittany.

I now have quite a few mermaid themed patterned papers set and I used the Let's Be Mermaids from Echo Park on this card and added some of the sticker fish as well after cutting the white edges off them as they looked odd with the white. Think they look much better now!

Fantasy Friday #24 Featuring Little Miss Deelish from Hannah Lynn

Happy Fantasy Friday! Welcome to this week's Fantasy Friday post. This week I have used the gorgeous Little Miss Deelish from Hannah Lynn, which I bought as a digi stamp from Crafts and Me years ago before they closed down.

As I went for such as colourful image, I actually had a hard time finding some patterned papers that would match, so in the end I decided to just go with these black, white and pink papers to pull out those colours in the image. I think it worked pretty well though!

That's all from me for this post today! Thanks for stopping by folks!

Whimsy Stamps Coffee Break Winter Scene

Good morning and welcome to another random post from me! I love having extra time during the holidays to just sit and colour (although I am sure I really should be doing the colouring classes I still have not yet done!), but I loved this cute image that was actually the Kit and Clowder Pencils Class image (with a different background), but I bought it with the winter background and did my own thing with the colours.

I don't use pencils and only have a set of 24 polychromos from years ago. To be honest, I don't like how pencils look as much as Copics, so have no interest in learning how to use them. I do however like a lot of the images for the pencils colouring classes, so tend to buy them and colour them up my way!

Anyway...here he is. You can't see in the photo at all, but all the snow is covered with clear Wink of Stella for an touch of shimmer. I have quite a few of these colourings now, so am going to buy some clip frames to put them all in and put them up somewhere in the house!

Lawn Fawn Thanks A Latte Slider

Good morning! I have another Lawn Fawn card for you again today - I have fallen in love with these cute stamps and I am also loving all the interactive dies they are releasing at the minute as well. I got the Double Slider Surprise die set in the sale, so it cost me just over £20 instead of the £26 it was originally and I just loved using it to make this card. I can't wait to make another one and have so many ideas on how it could be used!

Anyway, here is my Thanks A Latte card, another new set for me, although I'm not a coffee or tea drinker and only occasionally drink hot chocolate, I loved this set with all the added extras, like the candy canes, marshmallows and cream swirls. Next time I will add some cute faces to the cups and mugs I think!

Anyway here is the card closed. Hopefully the arrows on the pull out tabs are obvious!

Lawn Fawn Winter Skies Christmas

Good morning! I had some spare time over the Christmas and New Year holidays and finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Winter Skies, which was completely sold out everywhere in the UK before Christmas! So anyway I made this card, ready to add to next year's Christmas card pile!

I thought I would go for lots of glittery snow on this one and added the stitched mountains and hillside borders to add to the scene. I used the colour palette from the latest Lawn Fawn challenge to colour the sky, although I did end up covering lots of it with all those mountains!

This card is also for

Happy New Year!

Good morning! I usually do a favourites post of all my cards of the year on New Year's Eve, but I forgot this time! So here it is today instead!

I made quite a few changes with the design teams I was on last year. I felt I was spending so much time making projects for the design teams that I lost my mojo and my love of crafting a bit. At times, it felt a bit like a chore, but I have now dropped down to three teams and have more time to do more of my own crafting which makes me much happier! I get to use the images and make the cards in my own style, rather than having to be prescriptive so often!

Anyway...

Delicious Doodles was a small DT that I was on, but unfortunately the term didn't last for long as after 12 months, Teri, the owner of Delicious Doodles, decided to close the challenge blog down. My favourite card from being on this DT was actually my last card for this DT - a Gothic wedding card! You can read more about this card here.

Whimsy Stamps is one of my favourite companies for cute images and fabulous sentiments. I decided to step down from this DT in June as I had been on the DT for 1 year and 4 months and to be honest I was struggling to keep up with the weekly creations. At that time, I was teaching in a school with a very challenging class and a very challenging set of expectations and I was working all the hours I could to keep on top of my workload. (Luckily I have now left that school and moved on to much better things!).

My favourite card for this team was really hard to choose as I loved so many of them, but eventually decided to go with Fairy and her Bunny. You can read more about this card here.

Another team I stepped down from in June last year was the Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge blog team. I had been on this team for almost four years and I felt I needed a change. I love these images, but I felt lots of my cards were becoming the same old thing every time, so I stepped down with this gorgeous project using Aloha Lady. You can read more on my blog post here.

Polkadoodles was a DT I was only on for a very short amount of time. Although I love the images, I just felt the team wasn't for me, so left after my initial term of 3 months was up. My favourite card was this one using Frosty Penguins from the Octavia Frosted Winter Collection. You can read more on this post.

Faery Ink is one of the DTs that I have been on for a while now. Although the team kind of disbanded for a while, I stayed on and did a couple of projects a month for Amanda, while she was going through some personal stuff. The team started up again at the end of the summer and Amanda has released lots of fabulous new images. However, my very favourite was the Unicorn Masquerade collection that Amanda released in May and here was my project. you can read more about this project on my blog post here.

I started at Little Miss Muffet Stamps as a guest designer and when Lyn asked if I wanted to stay on, I went with a yes! I love these images and although it is back to a weekly project, I am now in a better position work wise and I have a lot more time on my hands. My favourite project for this DT was another hard one to choose as I love the Polka Dot Pals images and have used several of them this past year. In the end I decided to go with this card using the adorable Polka Dot Pals Maeve. There's more here on my original post.

And my final Design Team that I am on is The Paper Shelter. I have been on this team since March 2014 and I just all their images. This one was so hard to choose a favourite for - just glad I only had a year's worth of cards to look through! In the end, I decided to choose this one as my favourite because I was so pleased with the colouring on this one. I draw and coloured the background by myself, which for someone who cannot draw was a feat in itself. I was really proud of how this one came out! You can read more about it here.

The final favourite I am going to share with you all from my creations last year is from my Fantasy Friday posts that I have been doing since the summer. I decided to start these as I have a huge collection of fantasy images - fairies, mermaids, unicorns, dragons etc - and never had the opportunity to use them because of all the DTs I was on. Once I had left a few in the summer, I had the time to create using my own choice of images, which lead to doing these posts every week and believe it or not I have managed to keep it up! I wasn't sure I would!

Anyway this card uses Message In A Bottle from Simply B Stamps. You can read more on my original post here

Phew! If you have got to the end with all that, thank you so much! I hope you have enjoyed seeing all my favourites from the last year! I really enjoyed looking back at them all myself too and found some I had forgotten that I had made.
