Something Else on Saturday #19 Featuring More End of Year Cards

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. Today I have a couple more end of school year cards to share with you that I made for the other two teachers in my year group. This first one was for Ellie and she just loved this card using Rosie and Bernie in Hawaii. I also used the flowers from my Newton's Nook Aloha set that I shared last week and my beloved Palm Tree Dies. I wish I had bought the palm tree stamp to go with this image though as the size of these dies isn't quite right for the stamp. This card is also Crafty Friends Challenge #115 Summer Colours Crafty Catz Challenge #472 Anything Goes with Optional On The Beach Theme Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 29 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Challenge Week 30 Anything Goes Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #440 Anything Goes Crafty Creations Challenge #395 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Rose & Bernie in Hawaii & Summer Sentiment Set both from Stamping Bella, Alo

Scrapper's Delights New Release Anime Leo

Good evening and welcome to my DT post for the new releases from Scrapper's Delights. This month is of course time for Zodiac Leo  to make her appearance and this month's image is just gorgeous! Following my style for these Zodiac cards, I printed the image with the symbols and stars around the edge and added the qualities word labels as well as the date banner and name banner to the top and bottom of the card. I really like this yellow and kraft coloured combo and might use it again, but with a different image. The Paper Shelter Summer Break Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the latest challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week it is our annual Summer Break Challenge, which lasts for 3 weeks, but to give the DT a bit of a summer break, there will be no commenting on the entries for this challenge. The prizes remain the same though, so if you enter you could still win some fantastic prizes! I used the adorable Teamwork for a thank you card. I thought the sentiment worked really well with this image as well. I love the colour combo as well, not one I would usually use but the green really pops against the black, don't you think?! Recipe: Stamps:  Teamwork from The Paper Shelter, Thanks All Ways from Papertrey Ink Papers: Wild Wasabi (Retired), Basic Black, Night & Day DSP (Retired) & Woodland Walk DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Wild Wasabi (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Basic Black R

Faery Ink Inspiration Post - Heart of the Sea Mermaid

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for Faery Ink. I used the gorgeous   Heart of The Sea Mermaid  for this one and kept it fairly simple for a change. I used my waves stencil and various Distress Oxide Inks to make the waves background and then fussy cut my mermaid to add to the top. A few drops of Crystal and Glitter Drops and a pre-printed sentiment finished it all off nicely. I was undecided about what to do with her hair so did a multi-coloured combo in similar colours to her top, tail and fins and love this effect. Not sure if you can see, but I also added some Clear Sparkle pen to the heart and her tail for a touch of glitter.  This card is for Creative Moments Challenge #173 Anything Goes Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #110 Anything Goes The Library Challenge #38 Gift From The Sea Gem of A Challenge Week 14 Anything Goes Crafty Catz Challenge #471 Anything Goes Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 28 Anything Goes For all the details on my ca

Something Else on Saturday #18 Featuring Newton's Nook Aloha

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. As a teacher, I like to give cards to my team teachers and teaching assistants and thought I would share some of them here with you for this week's post. It's a long one though! I used the fun Aloha stamp set from Newton's Nook for both of these cards - this is such a fun tropical themed stamp set that I bought not too long ago! This first card was for Andy, my team leader, so a fairly simple card for a man! I think this sentiment is fabulous for end of year teacher cards as Mondays are always hard! (Like with anyone I guess who has the weekend off work!) The Paper Shelter Challenge #392 Summer Spirit

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the challenge from The Paper Shelter . This week our challenge is called Summer Spirit, so we would love to see your summer inspired cards and projects. I used the gorgeous Refreshing Time for my card this week for one of my work colleagues. Being a teacher, I always give thank you cards to those in my team at the end of the school year, so this was a great opportunity to use this gorgeous summer digital image! This card is also for Creatalicious Challenge #167 Anything Goes The Cutie Pie Challenge #137 Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge #121 Crafty Friends Challenge #114 Anything Goes Creative Fingers Challenge #168 Anything Goes Sweet Stampers Challenge #34 Summer Recipe Stamps: Refreshing Time from The Paper Shelter, Summer Sentiment Set from Stamping Bella Papers: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Chocolate Chip (Retired), Tranquil Tide (Retired), Sweet Taffy DSP (Retired) & Sweet Shop

Beautiful Bride

I have gotten so behind in sharing my cards on here and on my Facebook page! No excuse really other than work has been really busy with it being the end of year - loads more paperwork at the end of the school year - and my laptop power pack blew up, literally with sparks all over, so it was out of action for a few days until I could get a new one delivered. I tell you these are not cheap - almost £100 for one from Dell! Luckily the other one was only 2 months old, so I will get a refund on that one. Anyway here is a card I made for the Cute As A Button June Progressive Challenge (yep it's that late!), but I never got round to posting it in time for the challenge. My TA is getting married this summer (and is leaving as her husband to be has got a new job in Reading), so I made her this huge card for everyone to sign. It certainly was a labour of love and with the box, it took me 5 hours in total! So much trial and error for the size of the card and box, but it did come out pretty

Something Else on Saturday #18 Featuring Wryn's Glasses from Tiddly Inks

Good morning and welcome to my post for this week's Something Else on Saturday feature! I am really enjoying doing these posts at the minute as I am using loads of different stamps, both rubber and digi, that I haven't used before! A great way to make sure I do actually use them! This week I went a bit nautical and coloured Wryn's Glasses form Tiddly Inks in a blue and white sailor dress. I used my Seashore patterned papers and sentiment stamps, but I just couldn't find any embellishments at all in my stash. Nautical is not a theme I usually do, so I doubt I have any anywhere anyway! Recipe: Stamps: Wryn's Glasses from Tiddly Inks, Seashore from Joy Crafts Papers: Marina Mist (Retired) & Whisper White both from Stampin' Up, Seashore Paper Bloc from Joy Crafts, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Marina Mist from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Whisper White Ribbon & Marina Mist Ribbon (Retired) bot

Faery Ink inspiration Post

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink for today. This time I have used the gorgeous Dance of the Butterflies from the Pretty Girls with Wings and Things Vol 2 Colouring Book.   I have a thing at the minute for orange, which is so not like me at all, but I love this combo of orange and black together. To read more about this card, head on over to my Faery Ink Blog post here.

Something Else on Saturday #17 Featuring Priscilla from LeAnn's World 101

Good morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday! Today I have used the adorable Priscilla from LeAnn's world 101 which I chose as part of my winning prize for a challenge blog ages ago. I always feel guilty if I don't use the images I have won and this one has been coloured up for ages, so I thought it was time to put her on a card, an all pink one too! I haven't done an all pink card for ages! Recipe: Stamps: Priscilla from LeAnn's World 101, Sentiment stamp from magazine freebie set Papers: Pink Pirouette & Strawberry Slush (Both Retired) both from Stampin' Up, Victorian Roses Patterned Papers from Craft Sensation, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Strawberry Slush (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Strawberry Slush Ribbon & Whisper White Ribbon (Both Retired) both from Stampin' Up, Eyelet Lace Punch Around The Page Set from Martha Stewart, Greek Island Collect

Scrapper's Delights New Release Chibi Graffiti Bill

Good evening and welcome to my post for the new releases from Scrapper's Delights. I am using the fun Graffiti Bill and the wall background. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment to the wall, so it would look like he had just sprayed it! As it is quite a large image, I kept the rest of the card pretty simple and just added a touch of ribbon in the corner as I didn't have any dark blue baker's twine, which would have worked better I think. Recipe: Stamps: Chibi Graffiti Bill & Graffiti Wall 1 both from Scrapper's Delights Papers: Pacific Point, Basic Gray & Brights DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers, Silver Spica At You Pen Accessories: Pacific Point Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up Copics Used: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30 Hair - B02, B04, B06, C5, C7, C9 Eyes - B00, B02, B04 Jeans - W5, W7, W9 T-Shirt - YG06, G03, G05, G07 Trainers - C2, C3, B1

Good Morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter this week. Our challenge, this time, is for you to use a digital image and with so many gorgeous ones to choose from it in the store, why not treat yourself to a couple of new ones!
