Faery Ink Inspiration Post

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for the new Faery Ink releases this month. This cutie is Chibi Fae Wee and is just adorable, don't you think?

Image may contain: drawing and text

I decided to make her into a ladybird (or ladybug if you're across the pond!) fae and then hunted for some red and black papers and do you know what? I am almost all out apart from Valentine's themed ones with hearts all over them! So instead I decided to do some paper quilting and create my own papers using small strips of papers. I think it came out quite cute in the end!

Scene It Sunday #2 Featuring Crafty Bunnies from Isabel Cristina Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post. I have created another scene for today's card using these cute Crafty Bunnies from Isabel Cristina Stamps on etsy. She has loads of cute sets which can be put together to make scenes, but this is the first one I have done. I do have some others printed ready to colour, but not got round to doing them yet!

There were lots of fiddly bits in this one to cut out as they were not saved as pngs to make it easier to fit together in the scene. Since doing this card though, I have now learnt how to change jpegs into pngs for future reference! Should have found out before trying to cut out all these teeny tiny pieces!

Something Else on Saturday #60 featuring Bubble Over With Joy from My favorite Things

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post! I have no idea how I missed this stamp set from My Favorite Things coming out, but spotted it on Pinterest a little while ago, so had to hunt it down! These bunnies blowing their bubbles are just the most adorable!

I attempted to make a multicoloured cloudy sky to give a rainbow effect, but it didn't quite turn out the way I expected. I think I was just a bit too heavy handed with the ink blenders to be honest, but this is one technique I'm going to practise!

Scene It Sunday #1 featuring Food Truck from The Greeting Farm

Hello and welcome to a new post from me, which may or may be not be regular feature depending on how much time I have to spare. I am absolutely loving designing and colouring scenes with my digital stamps at the minute and I have Amy Young to blame for that influence. Amy is my colouring goddess and I so want to be like her when I grow up. She makes the most amazing cards and I love how she colours them all as well as creating these cute scenes.

For today's card, I used the new digital Food Truck set from The Greeting Farm with the Backs 1 and 2 set as well, which are the back facing girl digis. I arranged my stamps using Word and then printed it out to be A6 in size, but to be honest this was a little small compared to what I usually do, so I know for next time, I definitely need to go bigger!

I also used a different type of paper for my colouring and while it came out ok, this paper is not good enough for me. It was so thin and the ink from my Copics just soaked into it so quickly! I was trying out some new card, (but really it is called paper and wasn't thick enough to be called card) as I was getting short in supply for my usual copic card. My supplier, at the time of ordering, wasn't posting any orders out because of the pandemic lockdown, so had to go for something else. It was cheaper than my usual cardstock and you can tell! Oh well, you live and learn. This pack will now be used for inked backgrounds instead!

Anyway here is the card....

This card is also for
As You Like It Challenge Scenes or Not - yes definitely! Love being able to arrange all the digital elements into my own picture and then colouring it all up!

Something Else on Saturday #59 Featuring Hop Into Spring from Newton's Nook

Good morning and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post! It's been a while since I posted one of these, having done my #mermay challenge for the whole of May. It's nice to do something different as much as I love mermaids!

I bought this cute Newton's Nook stamp set with the intention on making Easter cards with it, but I didn't send any this year (I literally only went out during the lockdown when I really had to - to do duty at school looking after the key worker children and that's it! I'm too paranoid about catching anything!).

Anyway I used two of the cute stamps that were not Easter related to make this cute scene. I have rediscovered this pack of patterned papers as well, with its bright colours, perfect for Summer time cards!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #430 Thank You

Good morning and welcome to a new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is for you to make a thank you card or project. An easy one and so fitting for a lot of people right now!

As I was short on time this week, I used one of the pre-printed images with backing paper - A Fairy's Best Friend. This is a great way to make a pretty card if you are in need of one quickly and don't have the time to sit and colour. Shame it didn't actually save me much time as my printer was playing silly games and would not print out in the right colours, so this one is the best of the bunch I printed! I cleaned and cleaned, then deep cleaned and deep cleaned my printer nozzles, then tried realigned the printer heads, but it just didn't want to print the correct shades. I do still think this one came out quite pretty though!

Recipe:

Stamps: A Fairy Best Friend from The Paper Shelter, Thank You Sentiments (Digital) from Whimsy Stamps

Papers: Pink Card, Green Card & Patterned Papers all from Papercraft Society Subscription Boxes, Ultimate Graphic Paper from Polkadoodles

Accessories: Pearls and Ribbon both from Papercraft Society Subscription Boxes

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you all again soon. Don't forget to pop on over to the Paper Shelter Challenge blog and check out all the other fabulous creations from the rest of the DT and why not join in the fun whilst you are there?! As always there are some fantastic prizes to be won!
