Scene It Sunday #31 Featuring Illuminations by Molly Harrison

Good morning and welcome to today's Scene It Sunday post! This week I am sharing a colouring of the Molly Harrison Patreon page for January. One of my colouring goals this year (although I have probably said it a hundred times before!) is to actually colour the Patreon images that I receive through my subscriptions each month and I actually managed to do this one of Molly's this month too! This gorgeous image is called Illuminations and I wanted a dark blue background whilst everything else was pale and popped out against it. It took me about 4 hours or so to colour and I absolutely love it! I haven't made it into anything yet - I don't want it on a card, so will try to buy some A5 frames that these images can fit into.  Recipe: Stamps: Illuminations from Molly Harrison Papers: Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers, White Gel Pen Copics Used: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R30, R20 Hair - RV63, RV55, RV66 Eyes - BV34 Lips - BV13, BV17

Something Else on Saturday #90 Featuring #382 by Art by MiRan

Good morning and happy Saturday! I can't believe this is the last weekend of January already! And what a start to the new year it has been. Schools in the UK were closed to all but key worker and vulnerable children, so starting on Wednesday 6th January, I have been teaching lessons through zoom every day! This is a whole new way of teaching for me and not something I have ever been taught to do either, so I am still learning as I go! It's been fun, but hard work as well. And now the most recent announcement is that we probably won't be going back into schools until at least March! Anyway...on to today's Something Else on Saturday card. This week I have been adding my card templates and stencils to my Evernote account and realised it has been ages since I dug one out and made a shaped card, so that was the plan for this card. I used a digi stamp from Art by MiRan that MiRan gave away on Facebook last year, but she doesn't have a name unfortunately, just a number #38

LeAnn's World 101 Inspiration Post

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT inspiration post for LeAnn's World 101 for January. Today I have chosen to use the cute Aaryn for a fun teenage boy themed card as I always need loads of these and never have ever already made!  I made the brick wall using my stencil from Dutch Doobadoo and my new blending brushes which were fabulous to use! So much nicer and easier to get a depth of colour than the blending tools I have been using. The "graffiti" on the wall is an old set from Waltzing Mouse Stamps which is great for these kind of cards (and superhero or comic style ones as well).  Recipe: Stamps: Aaryn from LeAnn's World 101, Kaboom from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, Out of This World from Clearly Besotted Stamps Papers: Wild Wasabi & Chocolate Chip (Both Retired) both from Stampin' Up, Ultimate Graphic Paper, Just For Men Patterned Papers from Crafter's Companion, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Cajun Craze, Gumball Green (R

The Paper Shelter Challenge #454 - Happy Birthday

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter . This week our challenge is to make a Happy Birthday card or project. I have decided to use some of the older Paper Shelter images this year as I have an absolute ton printed out already and want to use some of them up. This image is Cute Cave Girl and I have never used her before as I could never decide how to layout my card. However, my new stitched den dies arrived yesterday so I thought I would attempt to make it look like she was coming out of a cave and into the woods whilst riding her sabretooth cat! The sentiment, I thought, is just perfect for someone getting that little bit older! 😁 Recipe: Stamps: Cute Cave Girl from The Paper Shelter, Prehistoric Plushies from Clearly Besotted Papers: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip & Tall Tales DSP (All retired) all from Stampin' Up, Copic Xpress It Blending Card Inks: Gumball Green (Retired) from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Stit

Scene It Sunday #30 Featuring Frosty Feet from Sweet November Stamps

Good afternoon! Welcome to today's late post for my Scene It Sunday feature. I just didn't get time last week to make a card in preparation for today's post, so made it up today along with a few DT cards. Last week Amy Young from Sweet November Stamps did a live colouring on Facebook of her new clear stamp sets with this nighttime, mountain scene and I just had to try and replicate it. I have never managed to draw or colour mountains freehand that actually look like snowy mountains, so this was a great way to learn. I just replayed her video and copied as closely as I could! The colours for the sky, mountains, snow and snowman are the same as Amy's but everything else I coloured in my own way.  I did actually print a sentiment to go at the bottom, but forgot that I had changed the settings on my printer to print only in black and as I wanted the sentiment in blue, it didn't print. I didn't realise until this morning when I went to put it on this card and I could

Something Else on Saturday #89 featuring Sweet Christmas Wishes by Stamp Anniething

Good Morning and welcome to this week's something Else on Saturday post! I am still trying to use up all the Christmas images that I coloured and this gorgeous image was a freebie from Stamp Anniething during their Christmas event. I found this die on eBay from a lovely lovely here in the UK and thought it would go perfectly with this image. It made for a really sweet, fun shaped card. I also bought a Hallowe'en Haunted Die, very similar from her too!  This card is for Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 3 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Challenge Week 4 Anything Goes Creative Moments Challenge #207 Anything Goes Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #488 Anything Goes Creative Knockouts Challenge #385 Anything Goes Through The Craft Room Door Challenge Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Sweet Christmas Wishes from Stamp Anniething, Yeti or Not from Lawn Fawn Papers: Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Spice & Real Red all from Stampin' Up, Ultimate Graphic White Paper, Make It Colour Blending Car

Scene It Sunday #29 Featuring Time To Read from All Dressed Up

Good morning! I hope you had all had a restful and enjoyable weekend so far! Mine are always filled with crafting as I rarely get any time (or have the energy) to do much during the week, so I spend all day Saturday colouring, and all day Sunday crafting! I keep saying I am going to try and get some colouring classes done during the week, but this teaching from home on Zoom every day is absolutely shattering and definitely creating more work, despite what the government think us teachers actually do! Anyway today's Scene It Sunday card is another reading scene that I have used to decorate my reading journal, which I am loving using at the minute. It's so quick and easy to fill in and takes no time at all. To make this scene, I used the Time To Read image from All Dressed Up and then lots of elements from the Build-A-Living Room Set from The Greeting Farm. The sentiment comes from the Reading Mermaid Stamp by Simply B Stamps. As this is in my reading journal I had to keep it fai

Something Else on Saturday #88 Featuring Holiday Mischief from Newton's Nook Designs

Good morning and welcome to today's Something Else on Saturday post. I've been back at work this week and it was just SO hard having to get up so early again! I'll be back into the swing of it all again soon! Not that us teachers have much of a choice there! Anyway...this week's card is a left over from another card I made where I didn't need to use all the coloured images. As I only had the one image left, I decided to go very CAS (for me anyway!). I never make cards like this any more, but saw one similar on Pinterest and thought it would make for a quick and easy Christmas card. Can't remember the last time I used my embossing folders and I have tons of them!  Recipe: Stamps: Holiday Mischief from Newton's Nook Designs Papers: Real Red, Basic Black & Whisper White all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Real Red from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Real Red Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up,

Faery Ink Inspiration Post Featuring Cheery Gnome Shroom Blooms

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT Inspiration Post for Faery Ink's new releases for January 2021. Today I am sharing a card using the adorable Cheery Gnome Shroom Blooms. I absolutely love Amanda's gnomes and this one was calling out for some bright colours to cheer me up. I actually printed him a little too large so there wasn't much room left on the card base for many embellishments of layers of patterned papers, but I love how he came out!  This card is for Love To Scrap Challenge #141 Anything Goes Cute Card Thursday Challenge #669 What's New? The Paper Shelter Challenge #452 - Digital Image

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter . Seems like forever since I last did one of these as we had a long Christmas break and this week is Team B's first challenge back!  Our challenge this week is to use a digital image and with so many fabulous images in the Paper Shelter store , you are sure to be spoilt for choice. Why not pop over there and grab a few new ones?!  I have used the adorable A Christmas Campfire for my card this week, which is a fairly new image released towards the end of last year, as I am still in Christmas card mode and went for a blue and purple combo, but had to have a bright pink marshmallow!  This card is for Digi Choosday Challenge Week 2 Anything Goes Lemon Shortbread Challenge #137 Anything Goes Always Fun Challenge #196 Something New The Corrosive Challenge #1 Anything Goes Use Your Stuff #413 All About The New Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #487 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: A Christmas Camp

Scene It Sunday #28 Featuring A Winter's tail from Digi Doodle Studio

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday! Boy what a first full week it has been here in the UK. We have now all put back into a country wide lockdown and all schools are closed, so I had to plan lessons like crazy and set up all my different groups on Zoom ready to start teaching lessons on Wednesday and although it's not something I have ever done before, I really enjoyed doing it. It was lovely seeing the children again after so long! Anyway..my card for today is another Christmas card that I never got chance to make before the event and as I didn't actually have enough to send or give out this time, I thought I would carry on making a few more until I got bored with doing them, but there's so many cute images and stamps in my stash, it's hard not to use them!  These little cuties are from Digi Doodle Studio and I love how the flock of robins have all come together to say hello and "Season's Tweetings!" This card is for Digi Doodle Studio Challenge #34 An

Something Else on Saturday # 87 & Cute As A button Inspiration Post Featuring Xbox Gamer

Good morning everyone and welcome to my doubled up Something Else on Saturday post and my inspiration post for the Cute As A Button design team . I have used Xbox Gamer for my card today as I need more boys cards in my stash and this one is fabulous for a teenage boy (or any other gamer!) and I plan on giving it to my brother for his birthday at the beginning of next month, as he loves his gaming, even though he's definitely not a teenager anymore!  I used some of my Just For Men patterned papers and the sentiments and controller stamps are old ones from Papertrey Ink, which I have had for years now!  This card is for Paper Funday Challenge #25 Anything Goes & Optional Twist Use Blue Classic Design Challenge #1 Anything Goes Crafty Friends Challenge #148 Anything Goes Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge #1 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Xbox Gamer from Cute As A Button, Boy Basics: Game On from Papertrey Ink Papers: Granny Apple Green & Old Olive both from Stampin' Up, J

Scene It Sunday #27 Featuring Festive Fairies from Clearly Besotted

Good morning everyone! Welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post. I am still in Christmas card making mode and am trying to get all those images I have coloured up onto some cards ready for next Christmas. You never know I may actually make enough one day! This card uses the adorable Festive Fairies set from Clearly Besotted, which comes with it's own background scene, so it was a quick and simply one to make - just stamp, colour and add to some pretty paper!  This card is for A Perfect Time To Craft Challenge #1 Anything Goes Creative Knockouts Challenge #381 Anything Goes Sweet Stampers Challenge #51 Anything Goes Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #149 Anything Goes 613 Avenue Create Challenge #1 Anything Goes A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #131 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Festive Fairies from Clearly Besotted Papers: Winter Wisteria from Papertrey Ink, Gorgeous Grape from Stampin' Up, Lavender Garden Patterned Papers from Craft & You Design, Make It Colo

Le Ann's World 101 Challenge #34 Anything Goes

Good Morning everyone and if you haven't popped over before now Happy New Year to you all too! Let's hope this year will be a big improvement on last year! Today starts a new challenge from LeAnn's World 101 which as always is an Anything Goes challenge and while you don't have to use an image from LeAnn's World 101 to join in, but there's loads of gorgeous images in the store , so why not grab one to increase your entries to winning the prize?! I chose to use the fun image Marilyn for my card, as a quick thank you for someone for their Christmas gifts! I went for a bright yellow a\nd turquoise combo and then hunted for some patterned papers to match and found this very old paper pad that I have hardly used! I love finding old stuff again as it feels like new instead!  This card is for Dragonfly Dreams Challenge Pearls Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #149 Anything Goes 613 Avenue Create Challenge #1 Anything Goes A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #131 A

Something Else on Saturday #86 Featuring Beatrix The Bookwitch from Faery Ink

Good Morning and Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a fabulous New Year's celebration and we able to see in the New year with your loved ones! I have done something a little different for today's Something Else post and decorate a reading journal that I have made. I am a huge reader and decided to make a reading journal to record all my 2021 reading in rather than just using Goodreads!  I couldn't find a journal exactly as I wanted it, unless I got one made for me by someone on etsy and paid a fortune for it, so I made it myself just using Word! I bought a cheapy notebook from eBay, took the ring binding off and added some book binding ring clips instead as the added sheets to the pages made it too thick otherwise.  I then decorated the front using this gorgeous image from Faery Ink, Beatrix the Bookwitch , and coloured her up using some of my favourite colour combos. I added the title using my Mama Elephant Whimsy Alphas dies and covered them with glitter to match

Cute As A Button Challenge #64 Cheers To You

Good morning and Happy New Year. I hope 2021 will be a great year for you all! Today is also the start of a new challenge from Cute As A Button and our theme this month is called Cheers To You! I chose to use the stunning Happy New Year - Martinellis image for my card and just had to colour her up in a sparkly red dress and glittery shoes too! If only we had a bottle of champers that big! After last year I feel I could do with one, but I'm not a fan of sparkling wine to be honest!  This card is for The Sketchy Challenges #170 Anything Goes SheepSki Designs Challenge #46 Anything You Want Morgan's ArtWorld Challenge #1 Anything Goes Crafty Friends Challenge #148 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Challenge Week 1 Anything Goes Pattie's Creations Challenge #178 Anything Goes Recipe: Stamps: Happy New Year - Martinellis from Cute As A Button Stamps, It's Your Time from Clearly Besotted Papers: Real Red & Basic Black both from Stampin' Up, Pretty Red Classics Patterned
