Gardener Marci

Managed to get a card done for this week's La-La Land Crafts Challenge to have a Spring or Easter theme. Seeing as I've done all my Easter cards I thought I would go for a spring card, so I used some pastel colours with fresh tulips and some butterflies in the garden! I used some retired SU papers, Spring Fling and took my colours from that pack.

Recipe:

Stamps: Watercan Marci from La-La Land Crafts, Daydreamer, Flower Fusion #11, Heart-2-Heart #12 all from PTI

Papers: Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow (Retired), Whisper White, Spring Fling DSP (Retired) all from SU, Neenah Solar Crest

Inks: Sage Shadow (Retired), Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Soft Sky (Retired) all from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Accessories: Bitty Butterfly Punch, Pink Pirouette Two-Tone Ribbon, Word Window Punch all from SU, Kites Die Set from Whimsy Stamps, Picket Fence Die from PTI, Glitter Domes from Crystal Stickers

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Friends Like You

I found Lili of the Valley's challenge blog the other day so just had to make a card for their latest challenge to use buttons and bows. I used the sketch from SC429 and I also used a bunny image for Just Add Ink's challenge #159. Perfect reason to use the free stamp I received in my goody bag when I visited the Lili of the Valley shop during their birthday celebrations last month!

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Patchwork Butterfly, Everyday Grungy Messages both from Lili of the Valley

Papers: Ruby Red (Retired), Soft Suede both from SU, Neenah Solar Crest, Country Lady Patterned Papers from Lili of the Valley

Inks: Ruby Red (Retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Accessories: Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon (Retired), Dotted Scallop Border Punch, Ruby Red BUtton (Retired), Linen Thread all from SU, Oval Nestabilities

And that's all form me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Summer Tilda with Flower

I went a little more way out than usual on this card and I do have to say I totally love how it looks! I did wonder if it was all just too much on the card, but I love it! This one is for Totally Tilda's Challenge #68 to make a shaped card (I used my Go Kreate Frilly Frames #5 for my card base, so not quite a square), for Marvelous Magnolia's Challenge #20 to use wings and for Play Date Café's Challenge #175 to use these gorgeous colours.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Summer Tilda with Flower, Banner both from Magnolia, Just The Ticket from PTI

Papers: So Saffron, Very Vanilla, So Saffron Prints DSP (Retired) all from SU, Neenah Solar Crest, Egg Hunt Patterned Papers from PTI

(Don't) Let It Rain

I love this little Let It Rain image from Saturated Canary and decided she would be perfect for their challenge #40 this week to use pastel colours. I pulled out a brand new pack of Teresa Collins' Summer Afternoon patterned papers for this one - love all the soft colours in this pad. And I thought I would enter it in Bunny Zoe's Crafts Challenge for March to be girly.

Recipe:

Stamps: Let It Rain Digi Stamp from Saturated Canary, Vintage Labels - Just To Say from Lili of the Valley

Papers: So Saffron, Crumb Cake both from SU, Teresa Collins' Summer Afternoon patterned paper pack, Nennah Solar Crest

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Distressed Flowers

This week's Friday MashUp Challenge #103 is to use note paper and distressing. I decided to use the sketch from The Sweet Stop's Sketch Challenge #204 and attempted to make an aged distressed looking card. Not my usual style but I do kind of like it!

And here's my card.

Thank You Doilies

I haven't used my doily stamps for a while so thought this card sketch would be a great opportunity to show them off! This card is for Create with Connie and Mary's Challenge #245 for the sketch and ColourQ's Challenge #182 for the colours - gorgeous combo! You can't see in the photo as it didn't pick it up at all, but the flower does have a layer of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on it for a subtle little shine - looks really nice in real life.

And here's my card.

Papers: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Always Artichoke, Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade all from SU

A Pocketful of Posies

When I read Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #262 write up I knew I just had to pull out my Back Pocket Basics stamp set for this card. I combined it with the sketch from Inkspirational's Challenge #13. I used some random colours and off I went to come up with this.

A Final Easter Card

This card was the last Easter card I made for my MIL to use and is for Papertake Weekly's Sketch Challenge #77. A fairly quick and simple card using one of my new Lili of the Valley stamps that I bought when I went up to Leeds for their open day last month.

And here's my card.

Monochromatic Stars

Just a quick card I made the other card for Mojo Monday's Challenge #286 for the sketch, CC418 to use this collection of blues and for Cupcake Crafts Challenge #235 to make a masculine card using cool colours. I love using stars for a man's card as they make the card so easy to do.

Inks: Baja Breeze, Midnight Muse, Marina Mist all from SU

Tilda With Her Bunny

Another Easter card featuring a bunny, but this time with a Tilda too! This card is for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #251 and Marvelous Magnolia's Challenge #19 to use dies. I think I used a fair few on this card! I kept it fairly simple with just a few embellishments here and there as I wanted Tilda and her bunny to take centre stage on this card.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda with her Bunny from Magnolia, friendship Jar: Spring Fillers from PTI

Papers: Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake, Whisper White all from SU, Spring Drop Patterned Papers from First Edition, Neenah Solar Crest

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by.

A Flutter of Butterflies

Not sure if that is really the correct name for a group of butterflies, but I like it! This card is for Friday MashUp's Challenge #102 to use the sketch below, butterflies and brayering. I will admit that my card didn't use brayering as the first attempt just didn't work when I did use my brayer. It just didn't blend very well, so I used my blender sponge instead rather than keep wasting card and time (which I was short on this afternoon). This is also for Play Date Café's Challenge #174 to use these colours, which I interpretted as Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz and Glorious Green. An odd colour combo, but it works! And finally this is also for Make It Monday's Challenge #108 to use inked backgrounds. I haven't done a MIM challenge for ages - no idea why not!

And here's my card. The ombre effect is more obvious in real life but my camera didn't/wouldn't pick it up.

Recipe:

Stamps: Beautiful Butterflies, Think Big Favorites #4 both from PTI

Papers: Glorious Green (Retired), Pear Pizzazz (Retired), Whisper White, Perfect Plum Prints DSP (Retired) all from SU

Inks: Glorious Green (Retired), Pear Pizzazz (Retired), Perfect Plum all from SU, Versamark

Accessories: Beautiful Butterflies Dies from PTI, White Embossing Powder from SU, Dew Drops

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

I need 5 Easter card myself by Wednesday for my work colleagues (we break up for the Easter holidays then) and my MIL wants 4 and then I need to make a few more for friends and family. Didn't realise I gave so many out!

Anyway this card is for The Sweet Stop's Sketch #203 and for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #171 to use your fave Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp. I have loads of faves, but my favourite fave is always my newest one, which happens to be this cutie from the Somebunny Loves You set.

And here's my card.

Let Sleeping Dragons Lie...

As soon as I saw this gorgeous Dreamy Dragon stamp by Whimsy in the pre-order last month, I knew it had to go on my wishlist. Just how cute is he curling up amongst the flowers?! This card is for Viva La Verve's sketch #4 for March which I rotated and for Cupcake Crafts Challenge #234 to use mythical creatures. I just pulled out some old retired SU DSP for this one - love these colours! I totally love how this one came out!

And here's my card.

Here Comes the Easter Bunny

Just another little Easter card I made today... This one is for Mojo Monday's Sketch #285 and for Cute Card Thursday's Challenge #261 to make an Easter project. My new Papertrey Ink goodies arrived this week and inside was this cute little stamp set (unfortunately the matching die was out of stock when I ordered, so I'll to get that next time, but it's easy enough a shape to cut out!). I just used some of Papertrey Ink's Egg Hunt patterned papers in these pretty pastel colours and came up with this.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Papers: Plum Pudding, Lavender Moon, Egg Hunt Patterned Papers all from PTI, Whisper White from SU

Inks: Spring Moss, lavender Moon, Plum Pudding all from PTI

Accessories: Big Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Circles Nestabilites, Card Candi, Plum Pudding Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon from PTI

Scattered Showers...

It's officially Spring, but it's still winter over here in the UK. It's been raining on and off all week and then today I opened the curtains to a snow shower! Snow in March!!! Can't believe how cold it is as well. Where's the Spring sunshine gone?!

With the dreary weather in mind, I just had to pull out my Scattered Showers stamp set and dies for this card. This one is for ColourQ's Challenge #181 to use the colours below and for A Passion for Papertrey's Negative Die Cuts Challenge. I was going to die cut my umbrella into the raindrops but as two umbrellas on one one die, it wouldn't work, so instead I cut out a Fillable Frames #9 die and then the frame from Framed Out #3 and stamped the sentiment on the mount underneath instead.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Scattered Showers, Scattered Showers Additions, Framed Out #3 all from PTI

Papers: Brilliant Blue (Retired), Brocade Blue(Retired), Whisper White all from SU

Inks: Brilliant Blue (Retired), Brocade Blue(Retired), Daffodil Delight, Basic Black all from SU

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Thank You...

Just a little thank you card I made this morning for Just Add Ink's Challenge #158 for the sketch and for Create with Connie and Mary's Challenge #244 for the colour combo - loved these two shades of blue together and the Stippled Blossoms just look gorgeous in them!

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Papillon Potpourri, Perfectly Penned all from SU

Papers: Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade DSP all from SU

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

CAS Notecard

As you all know I rarely do CAS cards out of choice, so when Inkspriational's Challenge #12 came up I had to stop myself from adding more to this card. I did add a bit more colour and a couple more embellishments than on the CASE card as I just can't do an almost white card. I used the colours from Color Throwdown's Challenge #234 as well for this one.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Signature Series: Dressform, Tag-Its #5 both from PTI

Papers: Confetti White, Garden Green, Crumb Cake all from SU

Inks: Basic Black, Garden Green, Real Red all from SU

Accessories: Dressform Die, Limitless Layers 1 3/4" Circles both from PTI, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug, Brights Buttons, Red Gingham Ribbon (Retired) both from SU

And that's all form this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

A Recipe for Friendship

This week's Saturated Canary Challenge #39 is to use text somewhere on your card. As soon as I read the challenge write up I knew I want to use my Ratatouille digi stamp and the Friendship Recipe sentiment from Lili of the Valley. I think these two go perfectly together as it looks like Ratatouille is mixing up the perfect batch of friendship with her little rat/mouse friend! I pulled out some pretty, soft papers and off I went to come up with this!

Recipe:

Stamps: Ratatouille digi stamp from Saturated Canary, Recipe Sentiments from Lili of the Valley

Papers: Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, Whisper White from SU, Neenah Solar Crest, Cappella Patterned Papers from Basic Grey

Inks: Bashful Blue from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Accessories: Bashful Blue Taffeta Ribbon (Retired) from SU, Lace from stash, Paper Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, White flowers form Hobbycraft, Filigree Border Die from PTI, Madera Corner Die from Memory Box

And that's all from me today folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Too much green...

Separately all the parts of this card looked fine, but once I put it all together there's just too much green for my liking! Bright green is not really a colour of choice for me and I think there's too much of it on here, but after spending a few hours colouring all the Easter eggs in on the background and then the eggs on the grass, the grass and Tilda, I really didn't have the energy to start over again! Think this might have to go to someone who loves green :P

This card is for Sketch Saturday's Challenge #250 for the sketch, Marvelous Magnolia's Challenge #18 to use a Tilda in a dress, for Totally Tilda's Challenge #67 to use an Easter Tilda and at least one egg, for Just Add Ink's Challenge #157 to use mostly green (Think I got that one in hehe!) and for ColourQ's Challenge #180 to use these colours. Phew!

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Tilda with Bunny from Magnolia, Spring Baskets from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, Framed Out #4 from PTI

Papers: Glorious Green (Retired), Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, In Color DSP Stack all from SU, Neenah Solar Crest

Inks: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Glorious Green (Retired) all from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Accessories: Basic Black and Basic Gray Striped Satin Ribbon from SU, Framed Out #4 Die from PTI, Circle Nestabilities, Lacey Circle Nestabilities, Tilda's lace Border Die from Magnolia, Frame Circle Dies from Marianne Creatables, Paper Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts

And that's all for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by.

Hoppy Easter

During Kraftin' Kimmie's February release party I won a prize and it arrived yesterday - this cute little boy (at least I think it's a boy) in a bunny suit with a huge egg and 2 sentiments! Perfect timing for all these Easter cards I need to make. This card is for SC427 for the sketch, Kraftin' Kimmie's Anything Goes challenge and for Inkspirational's Challenge #11 to be inspired by the photo below. I was inspired to use a brown bunny in the grass for my card with lots of pretty flowers on my patterned papers.

And here's my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Somebunny Loves You from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Papers: Lucky Limeade, Blushing Bride (Retied) both from SU, Spring Drop Patterned Papers from First Edition, Neenah Solar Crest

Inks: Blushing Bride (Retired) from SU, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

Accessories: Blushing Bride Ribbon (Retired), Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine both from SU, Tiny Tags Die from PTI, Old Swedish Lace Die from Magnolia

And that's all from this post folks! Thanks for stopping by!

All Things Magical and Mythical #119 Featuring Mermaid Birthday Party Treasure from Faery Ink

Good morning everyone and welcome to this week's All Things Magical and Mythical post. I haven't used a Faery Ink image for ages so...
