The Craft Box Let It Snow Canvas Trilogy

Good afternoon and welcome to my second project using the December Craft Box. In the mad run up to Christmas I completely forgot to do this project and then found these 3 small 7 x 5 inch canvases when having a tidy up of some old crafting stuff and knew what I wanted to do with them straight away.

Using a mixture of baby blue, pearl ice blue and blanc acrylic paints, I painted a random background before adding some snowflake die cuts along the edges and corners and then covered all the edges with Snowtex to give each canvas a snowy texture.

I added lots of goodies from the December Christmas Craft Box including the Christmas Tree Sniparts and that gorgeous snowflake Snipart frame, both of which I painted white. I used the snowflake glass stickers in each corner and then added lots of the beaded snowflakes and gems everywhere.

On the centre panel I added the gorgeous Snowflake Suzanne from Art by MiRan, also adding some Snowtex around her. I added some of flowers, pine cones and berries to this canvas as well, covering them all again with more Snowtex. I love that stuff!

I then finished off each canvas using lots of Stickles glitter on all the die cuts,, just to make it really sparkle and although you can't see it well in the photos, the shimmer from the paint and the sparkle from the gems and glitter glue make this project really shine. These will look fabulous as part of my Christmas/winter decorations.

Di's Digi Designs Challenge - Celebrations

Good morning and welcome to my final post for Di's Digi Designs. I have decided to step down from this DT as well to give myself more time and less stress. My full time teaching job is highly stressful and I am finding that I am having less and less time to do everything I want to do at the weekends, so unfortunately something has to give. Crafting should definitely be something fun to enjoy rather than stressful as well, trying to get everything done in such a short amount of time.

Anyway here is my card using the adorable Izzy's Xmas Buddies for one of my final winter/Christmas cards. I do love these images and will definitely miss using them on this DT, although I am sure I will definitely be popping from time to time once I get myself sorted after the Christmas break. Thank you to both Di and Audrey for inviting me to join the design team back in March 2016. The past 9 months have just flown by!

I joined All Dressed Up in February 2015 and that time has just flown by! I will always be a huge fan of Wendy's images and I know that I will join in the challenges when I get the chance too.

Art by MiRan Progressive Challenge for December

Good evening everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from the Art by MiRan Facebook team. This month we have a cute image that could be used for wintery cards or for birthdays or any other occasion that you can think of.

To find out all the information for how you can get hold of her, head on over to the Art by MiRan Facebook group and check out the pinned post there for the details!

And here is my card. I made her into a wintery card to add another one to my Christmas card stash. I seem to have been making Christmas cards forever now, but I'm still not sure if I will have enough or not! Need to get my Christmas card list written.

Faery Ink's December Facebook Challenge- Gifts

Good afternoon and welcome to my DT post for the new Facebook challenge from Faery Ink. This month the challenge is to make a gift or gift packaging. You could create something as a Christmas gift, a gift tag, decorate a gift bag, but it doesn't have to be a Christmas related project either, as long as you use an image from Faery Ink on it.

I used the gorgeous Gabbie Art Nouveau Fae for my project as she is just stunning and was perfect for my project. I decorated an MDF media board from That Craft Place to use as a freestanding calendar. I was inspired by something similar I saw in a local gift shop, which had a message on one side and some butterflies on the other. I wanted to create my own version of course, so asked Danny at That Craft Place to cut me some of these media boards and they are just perfect.

Anyway...here is the front of my calendar. She has been coloured in purples as this will be a gift for my fabulous friend Michele, who loves all things purple.

And here is the reverse side with the calendar on it. I changed my mind about where to put the actual calendar so now have a gap, which I think I might add Michele's name to instead.
