The Craft Box Let It Snow Canvas Trilogy

Good afternoon and welcome to my second project using the December Craft Box. In the mad run up to Christmas I completely forgot to do this project and then found these 3 small 7 x 5 inch canvases when having a tidy up of some old crafting stuff and knew what I wanted to do with them straight away.

Using a mixture of baby blue, pearl ice blue and blanc acrylic paints, I painted a random background before adding some snowflake die cuts along the edges and corners and then covered all the edges with Snowtex to give each canvas a snowy texture.

I added lots of goodies from the December Christmas Craft Box including the Christmas Tree Sniparts and that gorgeous snowflake Snipart frame, both of which I painted white. I used the snowflake glass stickers in each corner and then added lots of the beaded snowflakes and gems everywhere.

On the centre panel I added the gorgeous Snowflake Suzanne from Art by MiRan, also adding some Snowtex around her. I added some of flowers, pine cones and berri…

Di's Digi Designs Challenge - Celebrations

Good morning and welcome to my final post for Di's Digi Designs. I have decided to step down from this DT as well to give myself more time and less stress. My full time teaching job is highly stressful and I am finding that I am having less and less time to do everything I want to do at the weekends, so unfortunately something has to give. Crafting should definitely be something fun to enjoy rather than stressful as well, trying to get everything done in such a short amount of time.

Anyway here is my card using the adorable Izzy's Xmas Buddies for one of my final winter/Christmas cards. I do love these images and will definitely miss using them on this DT, although I am sure I will definitely be popping from time to time once I get myself sorted after the Christmas break. Thank you to both Di and Audrey for inviting me to join the design team back in March 2016. The past 9 months have just flown by!

Good Morning and welcome to my DT inspiration post for Ching-Chou Kuik. I have used another one of Ching-Chou's unicorn images as I just love these ones! I am still in Christmas card making mode, so I made another Christmas card, but hopefully one of my last ones! All Dressed Up Challenge #64 Anything Goes

Good evening and welcome to my very last post for the All Dressed Up Challenge. I have decided to leave some of my design teams and start the new year with less of a workload. My real life job is incredibly busy and I am finding that I am just not having as much free time at home as I would like and tend to spend all weekend, every weekend making DT cards. I don't have any other time to do anything else :(

To help with that I have decided to leave All Dressed Up and would like to thank Wendy and all the other lovely ladies, who have been part of the design team, for their love and friendship over the last (almost) 2 years. I joined All Dressed Up in February 2015 and that time has just flown by! I will always be a huge fan of Wendy's images and I know that I will join in the challenges when I get the chance too.

So anyway here is my last card using the gorgeous Christmas Tree Fairy, all coloured up in traditional colours. I have finally discovered the fun of Snow-Tex too and a…

Good Morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. I'm sure you have seen all the gorgeous projects from the DT by now, but here is mine in a bit more detail.

I have a love of anything mystical and mythical and unicorns are one of my fave mythical creatures, so I was super excited when Ching-Chou released her new unicorn images. I used the beautiful Northern Nightfall for this card and made it into a wintery Christmas card. Just shows how versatile these images can be.  I used the colours from my patterned papers for the colour combo and I do love the turquoise and purple together.

The East Wind Challenge #68 Meowy Christmas

Good afternoon and welcome to my (very late) DT post for the new challenge from The East Wind. I have been really run down this week and have just not had the time or energy to make my card until this morning, so apologies for this one being late! I am hardly ever late with my DT makes, but this month has just been really crazy at work, leaving little time for much else!

Anyway here is my card using the cute freebie from the newsletter, Meowy Christmas #2. Such a sweet kitty. My own cat would definitely go to sleep in a stocking if she would fit (and probably even if she didn't!).

Faery Ink's December Facebook Challenge- Gifts

Good afternoon and welcome to my DT post for the new Facebook challenge from Faery Ink. This month the challenge is to make a gift or gift packaging. You could create something as a Christmas gift, a gift tag, decorate a gift bag, but it doesn't have to be a Christmas related project either, as long as you use an image from Faery Ink on it.

I used the gorgeous Gabbie Art Nouveau Fae for my project as she is just stunning and was perfect for my project. I decorated an MDF media board from That Craft Place to use as a freestanding calendar. I was inspired by something similar I saw in a local gift shop, which had a message on one side and some butterflies on the other. I wanted to create my own version of course, so asked Danny at That Craft Place to cut me some of these media boards and they are just perfect.

Anyway...here is the front of my calendar. She has been coloured in purples as this will be a gift for my fabulous friend Michele, who loves all things purple.

And here is the…
