Happy Easter from Shelly and Nibbles

Good morning and welcome to today's post. I was lucky enough to win some fabulous digis from Sweet November Stamps this month - their last release, which I am sad about as I have only recently discovered these cuties from Amy Young and fast became an avid follower of both Amy and the Sweet November stamps. Using Amy's colour along video that she did on Facebook a few weeks back, I created this cute scene using 2 of the digis that I won.

Now I'm by no means a drawer at all, but I think this turned out pretty good! The tree was totally inspired by Amy as was the river which I decided to add in at the last minute, hence why it's not very big at all! I do think my tree's branches are a bit too long, and I went for the stippling technique to do the leaves rather than curls like Amy did, but I do like it! I added the sentiment with my new alphabet dies from Mama Elephant, but as an after thought, should have done Hoppy Easter instead of Happy!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #420 Flowers of spring

Good morning and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is called Flowers of Spring, so we want to see lots of pretty flowers on your card, whether as an image or as embellishments or even on patterned papers.

I used the gorgeous Tulips for my card, which I think are the perfect flowers for spring, along with daffodils of course. Unfortunately I didn't have any yellow tulips paper flowers to add to my card, so I used my flowers from PetalLu instead. After printing and colouring her, I fussy cut round her to add to a yellow dotted background, which I much prefer to a white one!

Recipe:

Stamps: Tulips from The Paper Shelter, Compact Sentiments Part One from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Papers: So Saffron, Balmy Blue, So Saffron Prints DSP (Retired) & Cheerful Treat DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Something Else on Saturday #52 Featuring A Bug Deal from Lawn Fawn

Faery Ink Inspiration Post Spring Moon Lahla

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my inspiration post for the new release from Faery Ink. This gorgeous image is called Spring Moon Lahla - isn't she just gorgeous?! I went for a blue and silver colour combo on this one, but coloured her before looking for patterned papers and I am seriously lacking in anything silver or dark blue! Need to fix that!

Something Else on Saturday #51 Featuring Sweet Plushies from Clearly Besotted

Good Saturday morning and welcome to this week's Something Else on Saturday post. I cannot believe we are in March already - where has the past two months gone to?! I had a long list of things to do during my half term holiday the other week and got hardly any of them done and today's card shares a stamp set that is one of the reasons why. I stamped up lots of my new goodies and coloured them all, rather than ticking off things (boring things, mind you!) off my to do list.

Today's card uses the adorable Sweet Plushies from Clearly Besotted's February release - aren't they just adorable?! I made a grid style card, but this time cut out the rectangles and layered them on top of the paper rather then trying to get them all lined up to make a frame! I went for lots of bright colours with this one as well.

Recipe:

Stamps: Sweet Plushies from Clearly Besotted

Papers: Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Very Vanilla * Polka Dot Parade DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Good morning everyone and welcome to my DT post for the new challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week our challenge is called Circle It, so we want to see lots of circles on your project!

I used the gorgeous Little Flower Lady for my card, using my Grand Nestabilities to make a circular card base and then added another layer using a different circle die, followed by a circular sentiment frame. Did Someone Say Cake?

Good morning and welcome to today's post! I thought I would share with you all a little card I made at the weekend for the Inky Paws Challenge using Newton's Nook Designs Stamps. I love these cute kitties and when I saw the new challenge was to use polka dots, I just had to join in as dots are my fave pattern. I have heaps of clothes, bags, hair accessories and shoes with dots on and they are always my favourite patterned papers to use in my card making too!

I used strips of dotty papers to make the background look a bit like the cake from the stamp with the scalloped edging. Love how bright and colourful this card is!

You Are Toadally Awesome

Good morning and welcome to today's post. I am "toadally" in love with Hello Bluebird Stamps at the minute and only have a few sets, so will be using them loads and loads over the next few weeks. I've been getting them from Menny's Bastelshop in Germany, but they have run out of all the sets on my wish list at the minute, so I am hoping they will be back in stock soon!

Today's card uses the cute set Garden Friends, which consists of birds and frogs mostly, so I made a tall DL sized card with one of the frogs sitting on his toadstool by the pond! Lots of fussy cutting out here as I find it easy to plan my cards that way than stamping and making lots of mistakes with masking (which I suck at!).

This card is for

Papers: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi(Retired) & Tempting Turquoise (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty, Card Blank from Anita's

Pinata Party with Lawn Fawn

Good evening everyone! Thought I would just quickly pop in and share a card I made today using some of my new and unused Lawn Fawn goodies! I think I got that idea!
