Scene It Sunday #26 Featuring Lots of Gingerbread!

Good morning and welcome to my last Scene It Sunday post of the year! When I first started doing this post series each week I thought I would maybe managed 4 weeks' worth and then give up, but I have absolutely loved colouring and creating different scenes, so am definitely going to carry this one on into the new year.

I do want to get better at free hand drawing and colouring scenes so NEED to squeeze some time in to do some more colouring classes from Sandy Alnock and Mindy Baxter, who show you how to do this, not just colouring a preprinted scene as I can do that! I'm also going to start to use some of Amy Young's videos as tutorials/lessons as well as she is just amazing at creating scenes from scratch!

Anyway, here's today's card - an idea I totally took from a card shared in the Lawn Fawn Fans Facebook Group, but not copied exactly. I wanted to make a gingerbread village and boy did all this tiny cutting take forever. You can see how dodgy my cutting is too! I wanted to create the idea of all the gingerbread people being out and about in their sweet village at Christmas time, but as always I went overboard with everything LOL

Something Else on Saturday #85 Featuring Candy Cane Fairy from Sweet November Stamps

Good afternoon! I completely forgot that today, being Boxing Day here in the UK, was a Saturday and so didn't schedule my post! I hope you all managed to have a fabulous Christmas Day for those of you who celebrate it and that Santa brought you some lovely gifts. I know it was a strange Christmas for us all this year, but I did manage to squeeze in a quick visit to the parents before we got locked into a Tier 4 city this week! These tiers have me so confused so I'm just not going out anywhere unless I really really really have to! Until January 4th that is when I have to go back to school as I can guarantee schools will still be open regardless of the tier restrictions!

Anyway...here's today's card featuring the adorable Candy Cane Fairy from Sweet November Stamps. I went for one of my favourite patterned paper packs so the colours I used come from there - aqua, red and white!

Good morning everyone and welcome to my penultimate post for the 12 Days of Christmas Countdown! I can't believe how quickly it has come around to Christmas, but I do say that every year because I am so totally unprepared for it EVERY year! Anyway...here's today's card using a Patreon image from Faery Ink - Gnomie Homie Santa's List. This is such a cute image and lucky me being part of the DT gets some of the Patreon images to use as well!

12 Days of Christmas Day #8 Featuring Dress Up Winter & Dashing From The Greeting Farm

Good morning and welcome to Day #8 pf my 12 Days of Christmas Countdown! After yesterday's announcement that my city is now in Tier 4, Christmas is going to be even more different now! In theory, you are not allowed to go out of the house apart from essential travel, all non-essential businesses are closed and you can't see anyone else outside of your bubble. I guess we're staying in then! Glad I delivered presents to my parents on Friday as they wouldn't have got them until the New Year otherwise!

Anyway, today's card features a few different sets mixed together to make this fun scene card, all from The Greeting Farm. I used the Christmas tree from the Christmas Day digi set to make a Christmas tree forest, then used the Dress Up Winter images, the hats came from the Miss Anya Pumpkin Spice digi, which was cropped and resized to fit these ones (not sure why a bobble hat wasn't included in the Dress Up set to be honest!) and then I added the reindeer from an old clear set called Dashing. I did have to chop of their antlers when cutting these out though as there was no way I could cut those tiny fiddly things!

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #6 Featuring Purrfect Christmas from Conie Fong

Good morning and welcome to my late post again! I am almost caught up with getting my posts out on the correct day, so huge apologies from me again! Today's card uses the adorable Purrfect Christmas digi stamp from Conie Fong, but I decided not to use the sentiment that comes with it as it was too big for my card in the end!

I made this one for our local Exotic Pet Refuge as we have bought some Christmas presents for the cats they have there and thought this image would go purrfectly! We have bought them lots of blankets, food, toys and cat nip! A great way to give back as they have not been able to open for their usual charity days this year so are really struggling for funding!

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #5 Featuring Oddball Snow Queen from Stamping Bella

Good morning and huge apologies that this post and the next 3 are SO late! I just completely forgot to do my blog posts with the return to work and then all the weekend stuff I was doing! Anyway today's card features the adorable Oddball Snow Queen from Stamping Bella. I just love the Oddball characters as they have the most hilarious, deadpan expressions on their faces!

I went for a very quick A6 sized card for this one and it worked perfectly for this image! No huge scene to colour either and when you're making tons of Christmas cards, you sometimes need to go for a more simple design!

Faery Ink Inspiration Post Featuring Yule Stag

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink sharing one of the newly released images, Yule Stag.

And here's my version - I made a tag, mostly because I made a boo-boo with the image. I was going to fussy cut around him, so chopped it off the sheet at an angle and then realised that the moon was there so needed to colour the sky and couldn't cut it into a rectangle for a card! Luckily I needed a few more tags for my Christmas presents and this make a great sized one!

Recipe:

Stamps: Yule Stag from Faery Ink

Papers: Real Red & Garden Green both from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Inks: Copic Markers, Pearlescent Chalks from Pebbles Inc., Golden Star Gelly Roll Pen, Silver At You Spica Pen

Accessories: Real Red Gingham Ribbon, Very Vanilla Ribbon & Garden Green Ribbon (All retired) all from Stampin' Up, Fancy Floss from Sew Easy

Moon - C0, C1

And that's all from me for this post folks! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all again soon!

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #1 Featuring Newton's Holiday Mischief from Newton's Nook Designs

Good morning everyone! I thought I would attempt to do a 12 Days of Christmas Countdown feature on my blog and am hoping that I will have the time to make enough cards or projects for it!

For Day #1, I am sharing with you all this cute card using a stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs, Newton's Holiday Mischief. I went for a traditional red and green combo on this card, mostly to try and use up some old patterned papers, but I do love how it came out. The sentiments came from another NND set, A Kitten's Christmas, as I wanted bigger ones than those in the Holiday Mischief set.

Recipe:

Stamps: Newton's Holiday Mischief & A Kitten's Christmas from Newton's Nook Designs

Papers: Old Olive, Garden Green, Real Red & Ski Slope DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty

Inks: Real Red form Stampin' Up, Copic Markers

Scene It Sunday #25 Featuring Dashin' Thru The Snow from Mama Elephant

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post! As well as using all my unused and new stamps, I am also trying to create more interactive cards and to use my dies a bit more as well, so this set was just perfect to try that out!

I made a tall DL sized card and added lots of layers of "snow" with my trees landscape die at the top. I added a slider die cut to the bottom and with a bit of a push the little sledging friends do slide. I need to get myself some of that powder you can get to make them slide more smoothly.

Something Else on Saturday #84 Featuring Merry Mouse & Cozy Christmas from Clearly Besotted

I do send a few cards through the post, and will be sending more this year than usual, so I try to make a few smaller, flatter ones, but this scene was big to more or less fill the card.
