Scene It Sunday #26 Featuring Lots of Gingerbread!

Good morning and welcome to my last Scene It Sunday post of the year! When I first started doing this post series each week I thought I would maybe managed 4 weeks' worth and then give up, but I have absolutely loved colouring and creating different scenes, so am definitely going to carry this one on into the new year.  I do want to get better at free hand drawing and colouring scenes so NEED to squeeze some time in to do some more colouring classes from Sandy Alnock and Mindy Baxter, who show you how to do this, not just colouring a preprinted scene as I can do that! I'm also going to start to use some of Amy Young's videos as tutorials/lessons as well as she is just amazing at creating scenes from scratch!  Anyway, here's today's card - an idea I totally took from a card shared in the Lawn Fawn Fans Facebook Group, but not copied exactly. I wanted to make a gingerbread village and boy did all this tiny cutting take forever. You can see how dodgy my cutting is too!

Something Else on Saturday #85 Featuring Candy Cane Fairy from Sweet November Stamps

Good afternoon! I completely forgot that today, being Boxing Day here in the UK, was a Saturday and so didn't schedule my post! I hope you all managed to have a fabulous Christmas Day for those of you who celebrate it and that Santa brought you some lovely gifts. I know it was a strange Christmas for us all this year, but I did manage to squeeze in a quick visit to the parents before we got locked into a Tier 4 city this week! These tiers have me so confused so I'm just not going out anywhere unless I really really really have to! Until January 4th that is when I have to go back to school as I can guarantee schools will still be open regardless of the tier restrictions! Anyway...here's today's card featuring the adorable Candy Cane Fairy from Sweet November Stamps. I went for one of my favourite patterned paper packs so the colours I used come from there - aqua, red and white!  This card is for Sweet Stampers Challenge #51 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Challenge Week 52 An

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #11 Featuring Gnomie Homie Santa's List from Faery Ink

Good morning everyone and welcome to my penultimate post for the 12 Days of Christmas Countdown! I can't believe how quickly it has come around to Christmas, but I do say that every year because I am so totally unprepared for it EVERY year! I think being a teacher and this half term being incredibly busy every year means I don't really get into Christmas preparations until my actual holidays and this year was even worse as you can imagine!  Anyway...here's today's card using a Patreon image from Faery Ink - Gnomie Homie Santa's List. This is such a cute image and lucky me being part of the DT gets some of the Patreon images to use as well!  Recipe: Stamps: Gnomie Homie Santa's List from Faery Ink, Little Elves from Clearly Besotted Papers: Real Red, Crumb Cake & Ski Slope DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Real Red from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Aspen Snowflake Punch Around The

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #10 Featuring A Creature Is Stirring from Lawn Fawn (again!)

Good morning and welcome to another 12 Days of Christmas Countdown post. Today's card is very similar to one I have previously made using the adorable A Creature Was Stirring set from Lawn Fawn. I just love these little mice and all their Christmas baking, so just had to make another one in the same colours as before.  I was unable to get ahold of the actual Lawn Fawn Scripty Sweet Die, but got this one from My Favorite Things instead and it works just as well!  Recipe: Stamps: A Creature was Stirring from Lawn Fawn Papers: Pink Pirouette & Chocolate Chip (Both retired) both from Stampin' Up, Florals Patterned Papers from Craft Sensations, Card Blank from Anita's, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers Accessories: White Blizzard Glitter Drops from Nuvo Copics Used: Mice - E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, R21, R22 Apron - R000, R00, R11, R81, R83 Chef Hat - E40, E41, E42, Blender Oven Gloves - RV02, RV04 Gingerbreads & H

Good morning and welcome to a correctly scheduled post for Day #9 of my 12 Days of Christmas! Today's card features several sets from Clearly Besotted to make this wintry card. This was so quick and easy to do - the longest part was actually cutting everything out! I used the Cute As ABC sets, the penguins are from All Four Seasons and the bears are from Beary Christmas. Recipe: Stamps: Cute As ABC Set 1, Set 2, All Four Seasons & Beary Christmas all from Clearly Besotted Papers: Night of Navy & Pacific Point both from Stampin' Up, Card Blank from Anita's, Patterned Paper from Card Making Magazine, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen from Spectrum Noir Copics Used: Letters - b 12, B14, B16, B18 Polar Bears - C00, C0, C1, C7, C9, Blender Penguins - Yr15, YR18, N0, N1, N5, N7, N9, Blender Red Hat - R35, R37, R39, C0, C1 Turquoise Hat - BG02, BG05, BG07, BG10, BG11 Scarf - R24, R27, R2

12 Days of Christmas Day #8 Featuring Dress Up Winter & Dashing From The Greeting Farm

Good morning and welcome to Day #8 pf my 12 Days of Christmas Countdown! After yesterday's announcement that my city is now in Tier 4, Christmas is going to be even more different now! In theory, you are not allowed to go out of the house apart from essential travel, all non-essential businesses are closed and you can't see anyone else outside of your bubble. I guess we're staying in then! Glad I delivered presents to my parents on Friday as they wouldn't have got them until the New Year otherwise!  Anyway, today's card features a few different sets mixed together to make this fun scene card, all from The Greeting Farm. I used the Christmas tree from the Christmas Day digi set to make a Christmas tree forest, then used the Dress Up Winter images, the hats came from the Miss Anya Pumpkin Spice digi, which was cropped and resized to fit these ones (not sure why a bobble hat wasn't included in the Dress Up set to be honest!) and then I added the reindeer from an ol

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #6 Featuring Purrfect Christmas from Conie Fong

Good morning and welcome to my late post again! I am almost caught up with getting my posts out on the correct day, so huge apologies from me again! Today's card uses the adorable Purrfect Christmas digi stamp from Conie Fong, but I decided not to use the sentiment that comes with it as it was too big for my card in the end!  I made this one for our local Exotic Pet Refuge as we have bought some Christmas presents for the cats they have there and thought this image would go purrfectly! We have bought them lots of blankets, food, toys and cat nip! A great way to give back as they have not been able to open for their usual charity days this year so are really struggling for funding!  Recipe: Stamps: Purrfect Christmas from Conie Fong, A Kitten Christmas from Newton's Nook Designs Papers: Gorgeous Grape & Bermuda Bay both from Stampin' Up, Contemporary Christmas Patterned Papers from Crafter's Companion, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Gorgeous G

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #5 Featuring Oddball Snow Queen from Stamping Bella

Good morning and huge apologies that this post and the next 3 are SO late! I just completely forgot to do my blog posts with the return to work and then all the weekend stuff I was doing! Anyway today's card features the adorable Oddball Snow Queen from Stamping Bella. I just love the Oddball characters as they have the most hilarious, deadpan expressions on their faces!  I went for a very quick A6 sized card for this one and it worked perfectly for this image! No huge scene to colour either and when you're making tons of Christmas cards, you sometimes need to go for a more simple design!  Recipe: Stamps: Oddball Snow Queen from Stamping Bella Papers: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana & Let It snow DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Coastal Cabana from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Bermuda Bay Ribbon (Retired) from Stampin' Up, aquatic Mist Glitter Drops from Nuvo Copics Used: Skin - E000, E00, E21,

Good morning and welcome to Day #4 of my 12 Days of Christmas Countdown! I can't believe how close we are already to Christmas already! December is just flying by! Today's card features that fin Ho Ho Ho digi stamp from Lili of the Valley. This was another simple card for posting so I added some touches of Fluffy Stuff from Woodware for the snow this time. The Paper Shelter Christmas Break Challenge and 12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #3

Good morning and welcome to a doubled up post from me for today's 12 Days of Christmas Countdown and the latest challenge from The Paper Shelter. This week's challenge is our Christmas break challenge and will last for 4 weeks to give the DT a much needed restful break to spend with family and friends where possible.  For today's card I have used the fabulous Snowboarder Girl  and coloured the background to make it look like she was snowboarding down the hills. I went for a bright pink and aqua combo and love how bright the are against the white snow and pale blue sky. I also added a touch of glitter to the snow and a couple of aqua pearls as well. Recipe: Stamps: Snowboarder Girl from The Paper Shelter Papers: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo Prints DSP (Retired) & Winter frost Speciality DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers Accessories: Peeking Snowflakes Dies from Creative Expressions, Pe

Faery Ink Inspiration Post Featuring Yule Stag

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for Faery Ink sharing one of the newly released images, Yule Stag. And here's my version - I made a tag, mostly because I made a boo-boo with the image. I was going to fussy cut around him, so chopped it off the sheet at an angle and then realised that the moon was there so needed to colour the sky and couldn't cut it into a rectangle for a card! Luckily I needed a few more tags for my Christmas presents and this make a great sized one!  Recipe: Stamps: Yule Stag from Faery Ink Papers: Real Red & Garden Green both from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Copic Markers, Pearlescent Chalks from Pebbles Inc., Golden Star Gelly Roll Pen, Silver At You Spica Pen Accessories: Real Red Gingham Ribbon, Very Vanilla Ribbon & Garden Green Ribbon (All retired) all from Stampin' Up, Fancy Floss from Sew Easy Copics Used: Stag - E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49 Red Candles - R24, R27, R29 Gre

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #2 Featuring Eat, Snooze & Be Merry from Clearly Besotted

Good morning and welcome to Day #2 of my Christmas Countdown feature! Today's card using the adorable Eat, Snooze and Be Merry stamp set from Clearly Besotted. This card is for my boyfriend as he loves sloths and I was super excited to find a Christmas set with them in! I kind of got stuck on a layout for this one so just sort of placed them anywhere and I think it looks ok!  Recipe: Stamps:  Eat, Snooze & Be Merry from Clearly Besotted Papers: Real Red, Coastal Cabana & Let It Snow DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Real Red & Coastal Cabana both from Stampin' Up, Copic Markers, Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen, White Gel Pen Accessories: Gems from Poundland Copics Used: Sloths - E50, E51, E53, W3, W5, W7, W9 Antlers - E23, E25, E27 Baubles - r35, R37, R39, BG02, BG05, BG07, C0 Hat - R35, R37, R39, C00, C0, C1 Scarf - R35, R37, R39 Mug - BG02, BG05, BG07, E57 Silver Ribbon - C0, C1, C3 And that's all from

12 Days of Christmas Countdown Day #1 Featuring Newton's Holiday Mischief from Newton's Nook Designs

Good morning everyone! I thought I would attempt to do a 12 Days of Christmas Countdown feature on my blog and am hoping that I will have the time to make enough cards or projects for it!  For Day #1, I am sharing with you all this cute card using a stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs, Newton's Holiday Mischief. I went for a traditional red and green combo on this card, mostly to try and use up some old patterned papers, but I do love how it came out. The sentiments came from another NND set, A Kitten's Christmas, as I wanted bigger ones than those in the Holiday Mischief set.  Recipe: Stamps: Newton's Holiday Mischief & A Kitten's Christmas from Newton's Nook Designs Papers: Old Olive, Garden Green, Real Red & Ski Slope DSP (Retired) all from Stampin' Up, Make It Colour Blending Card from Make It Crafty Inks: Real Red form Stampin' Up, Copic Markers Accessories: Gems from Poundland, Filigree Holly Dies from Creative Expressions Copics Used:

Scene It Sunday #25 Featuring Dashin' Thru The Snow from Mama Elephant

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Scene It Sunday post! As well as using all my unused and new stamps, I am also trying to create more interactive cards and to use my dies a bit more as well, so this set was just perfect to try that out! I made a tall DL sized card and added lots of layers of "snow" with my trees landscape die at the top. I added a slider die cut to the bottom and with a bit of a push the little sledging friends do slide. I need to get myself some of that powder you can get to make them slide more smoothly.  This card is for Sweet Stampin' Challenge Let It Snow Sweet Stampers Challenge #51 Anything Goes Creative Knockouts Challenge #380 Anything Goes Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Let It Snow Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #214 Tis The Season The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge Anything Goes Christmas Recipe: Stamps: Dashin' Thru The Snow from Mama Elephant Papers: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Soft Sky (Retired) & Wild Wasabi (Reti

Something Else on Saturday #84 Featuring Merry Mouse & Cozy Christmas from Clearly Besotted

Happy Saturday and welcome to this belated post! I thought I had done it, but I hadn't! Anyway, here's today Something Else on Saturday post and today I am sharing another Christmas card using two sets from Clearly Besotted - Merry Mouse and Cozy Christmas. I tried to make it look like the mice were getting ready for Santa's visit by hanging up their stockings and leaving out some cookies and cheese for him. I do send a few cards through the post, and will be sending more this year than usual, so I try to make a few smaller, flatter ones, but this scene was big to more or less fill the card.
